- Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Hang Ten Trophy Guide - Perform 30 Air Tricks in a row without touching the ground [Bronze]
To perform tricks: while in midair press SQUARE + Left Stick in any direction. It will then show XP on the right side for each trick you do. Simply keep swinging with R2 and do a trick after each swing until the trophy pops. Must do 30 tricks without touching the ground in between.

Completely misunderstood what this trophy was asking, thought it was do a 30 air combo in a fight for some reason, so left this for last thinking it was going to be a potential plat killer. So easy when I saw what it actually was 😂

For anyone struggling with doing it in the city, I found it easiest to go to the railway track (along the bottom right side of Little Odessa) and swing above the track. The railway is next to a non-playable section, so if you enter the non-playable side, it will actually pause and redirect you in the right direction after clicking "x" to resume, which actually helps a bit with remaining airborne. You may just need to reposition yourself after that happens, so that you're back above the track. Hope this helps!
I just did it by taking laps around liberty tower. It gives you plenty of space to not hit into other buildings
And it's also the tallest building in New York
I did it at around street level but it would be easier higher up because the tower is way taller than anything around it

Found it easier to do without swinging by jumping off Avengers tower and alternating between tricking and using the wings. So you just press square and triangle alternately as you do one flip

I've done this literally 1000s of times and nothing.
You have to do 35 without touching the ground

You can’t web Jump I believe (pressing x mid swing) you just have to let yourself go up then trick like you can see him doing
I jumped of the highest building in the game spammed trickiest venom jumped spammed tricks did this 4 times still no trophy
You gotta do different moves i tried just front flipping the whole time but wen i did other stuff too i got it
Change the Air Tricks controls to Toggle - Maintain. Press square once and swing around while doing tricks.

For anyone having trouble like me, dont press x at all during this. In addition, try to use different moves incase it doesnt count the same move a bunch😊
i just achieved this trophy and here is how i did it:
- go to upper east side
- there is a long straight main road in the middle of the district. the tall buildings on either side of the road will ensure that your web will be able to latch onto something so that you won’t lose momentum
- start on either end of the road
and swing along this long straight road while doing tricks
- if you’ve already swung to the end of the road but haven’t achieved the trophy, just turn around and repeat the process (swing + do tricks)
- keep swinging back and forth along this straight road until you achieve the trophy
using this strategy, it took me around 10 minutes to get the trophy. hope this helps someone!
If you’re doing this whit 0 swing assist, I’d recommend going over to the lake and doing it. You can just glide forever while doing tricks. Especially if you have the skill that refills your air launch abilities when you do tricks. Using the slipstreams help too but you really don’t need them.
I didn’t think to do this haha. I thought I had to go to the top of a really tall building (E.S.B or Avengers tower) jump off and try and get it that way. I’m going to try this method now.
Dont take your finger of the square button as you do it and keep swinging til it pops. I just kept moving the left stick randomly til it popped also.
So for those that is struggling. You need to know two things.
1. 30 different air tricks. no repeat i believe.
2. accidentally step on lamp or tree or any side of the building count as ground.
So make sure you find the longest straight as possible. Make sure you stay a certain height. never touch any lamp post.
Then know this, while holding □, you hold stick left 3 secs for some tricks, right 3 secs, forwards, backwards. some trick is counted after 3-4 secs. You need to swing high enough so when you do these and still high enough to not touch ground.
And there some even more hidden tricks only occur if rapidly press left, right, forward, backwards. Just try to press them all in random order. Be mindful of the trick names on the right of screen. Keep doing different ones and you should get the trophy.
Easiest place to swing for me was at the Williamsburg bridge (any bridge will do) I just kept going back and forth whilst holding square and swinging at the side of the bridge
Thanks to this video I managed to get the Platinum trophy.
For anyone having issues, there’s a 80% chance you’ll have to start a brand new save file to get the trophy.

Hold the square button but keep letting go of R2 to start a new swing. If you just hold R2 and square it doesn’t work
For anyone not getting it I don’t believe you can web jump mid swing. You have to just hold R2 and then trick once you go up, no jump, I got it after I noticed him not doing that

There is no way. I was flipping for so long i counted way past 30 it was like 40 or 50 when i actually got the trophy?
If you flipped more than once I a direction it only counted as one trick. It turned into a double flip instead of a single flip, for example. A quadruple flip isn't 4 separate tricks
Guys
Just swing around the tallest building without landing
Perform several dive tricks before doing the regular air tricks
It will still count as long as you don't hang on to a building or hit the ground
If anyone feels like they should’ve got it but didn’t get a notification double check you didn’t get it, was trying to do it for over 25 minutes thinking I hadn’t got it when I had and I just didn’t get the notification
At first I thought you had to do them without swinging, so I would jump off the tallest building & fail everytime because you can’t do tricks until you reach a certain altitude. Easy peasy. Just be careful to not accidentally touch lightpoles or buildings

For me the key was to spin the analogue stick and do different tricks each time. It flew up when I did this

I just did this down a straight road in midtown and I eventually got the trophy
You can also dive/jump from the tallest building you can find. As you start to reach the bottom if you timed it correctly yo have done atleast 20 tricks. The rest is swining. At least that's how i got mine and founf it easy

just had to get 2 trophies for the platinum, hang ten and the 30 spider leg ability kills thingy, turns out i did this one by accident earlier in the game

I've done about 50 at a time over and over without ever pressing X and I never get the trophy, this sucks
Idk what more to do im going back n forth on the Brooklyn bridge just doing tons of combos holding square and still nothing
Do they have to be random or can you keep the stick pointed in one direction?
Incase you haven't figured it out yet, they have to be 30 DIFFERENT skills, meaning you can't just hold the stick forward and roll 30 times there has to be some variation in the tricks you do. Hope that helped

This trophy is confusing i got it on the counter to 27/30 then failed

I tried everything but nothing works, it's stuck at 25/30
Jump off avengers tower, and alternate between square and triangle. You may need to change direction so you don't slam into a building, but you'll get it easily.
This trophy was way more annoying than it should’ve been

Mines stuck at 28 and doesnt move no matter what i do
