Trivia: That first RM episode in Thailand saved RM. The show wasn't really popular in SoKor, and the first Thailand episode was supposedly the final one, but it was also the moment that the staff and members realized how popular the show is overseas, and so we have the show up until now with more than 600 episodes and counting. (RM is my youth and Imma continue to support the show.)
Feel so proud of him. I still remember when the show just started, he was nobody, work really hard to make jokes, treated rude by some of his colleagues and guests(due to his role), some not in a funny way. And now he has become Asia Prince one of the highest earning korean star to this date. When team up Female guests normally choose him/yoo jaesuk as first pick. You can really tell the difference if you are a fan who follow them throughout all these years.
Then u would know this too.When Son Dam Bi appeared in early stage of RM,Kwang Soo says that he have met her in another event but she doesnt remember.At that time,Kwang Soo said he will work hard and make her remember him.And now,Lee Kwang Soo is a close friend for Son Dam Bi.

Yeah also the time when it was 1 vs 8 running man members (song jongki) and kwang soo said "Pygmalion Effect" and got bashed by sjk's fans (maybe it was a joke) lol and the times when he was regarded as song jongki and jo insung kk

Watching this back is insane recently cause they said these episodes saved them from cancellation. SBS had no idea they were a success internationally and this showed it.

even me from phillipines i loved to see lee kwang soo
everyone on rm got a character bc of js. he started the monday couple, peaceful gary, haroro, villain jong kook, annoying grandpa sukjin, ace ji hyo (and bad ji hyo too) and yooruce willis. ofc all of them comfortably adapt to that character but js has never made kwang soo into any type of character. i think he tried once, to put this "loser" character for kwang soo but that didn't work. back in the early days, it was hard to get kwang soo to talk as he was extremely shy. jaesuk had to frequently asked him questions so that kwang soo will speak up. but as he got more comfortable with the casts and the show, he developed his own character and stayed true to that character. he maintained his image as the cheater and framer and traitor kwang soo. all of that was from his own hardworks and efforts. now hes the crowned prince of asia

Mostly due to his sudden large number of overseas/foreign fans after joining RM.
