I would recommend St. Magdalena in the Hall valley! (just google it). Saves you quite some travel. It is only a few km north of Hall in Tirol in the mountains.😀😉
As a local: Not one of these towns is worth a visit except for skiing. @ sorry for people chronically online it’s a joke to make a comment when a video is up for like 2 seconds about having low views or whatever and you’re like one of the first ones watching it
Okay, I get your videos now. As a local, I have to tell you that Hall is a hardcore tourist spot. There are hardly locals in the old town, it's just famous for the well preserved medieval centre. Maybe you were there off season or just lucky, but it is totally inauthentic and touristy (as other locals here already told you). You want to get out as much as possible moneywise and are a bit on a budget. So then Innsbruck is NOT the city for you. The really nice bars, restaurants and things to do cost a lot of money, its Austria's most expensive city to live amd rent. But come on...Innsbruck was too small for you? And Hall is better? You really can not compare these 2 towns. In Hall there is literally nothing to do but stroll through 3 streets and you are done. The small shops are just there to get out the money from tourists for cheap kitsch. I am really afraid people will be disappointed after your recommendations. Sorry to say!
I can’t imagine. But I think we may be traveling to cities for different reasons. Sure, maybe Innsbruck has nice bars or restaurants but if I’m being completely honest here I would not recommend anyone travel to Innsbruck for bars and restaurants. I have those in Munich. Anyone traveling to Innsbruck from anywhere outside of Austria will pass by a city or two that also has bars and restaurants on their way. So why go to Innsbruck for that? Hall had something I don’t have at home, tons of medieval streets to walk through and an incredibly charming atmosphere. As for it being touristy? I’ll promise you this. Hall is less touristy than Innsbruck 😅 the day I filmed this video Innsbruck was shoulder to shoulder and Hall was empty. Not a single tourist besides us was in Hall that day, I would have found them, and plenty were in Innsbruck. So maybe we just got really really lucky, but I doubt it.
I don't believe you are a local. And I can not see anyone else here who is of the same opinion as you. Folks, don't believe that strange rwh guy. Hall is just like in the video, not touristy at all. There is much more to see and do than 3 streets.
@@Excessloki I’d go to Hall, I have no idea what the above person is talking about and they’ve pretty heavily edited their comment a few times now instead of responding.
@@Excessloki I second everything that @NearFromHome say or write 100%. Hall in Tirol is where I was born. It is to this day in no way touristy. It is a hidden medieval gem that I wholeheartedly recommend. I really have no idea what that @rwh687 bloke is rambling on about. I also cannot find those "other locals" he is writing of, who allegedly confirm his views. Where are they? Nowhere to be found. Maybe voices inside his head. I strongly distrust that weird guy being a local. He may be just a malicious character. Best ignore him. Please don't let trolls like that keep you from visiting two gems of the alps, Innsbruck and Hall in Tirol.

There is much more to see and do than 3 streets.
where would you recommend to go instead of Hall? I am talking Germany or Austria, I will be coming from Merano in Italy.
