If you are aiming to become a scientist it is best if you start your preparation right after school. Choose your field of interest in science and narrow it down to a particular niche. However, the first step to the process is to choose between PCM or PCB right after your 10th board exams. It is vital to be very good at math if you are aspiring to be a scientist. A specialization in maths is required because of research in general deals with statistics.
Have a clear idea as to the niche area that you want to pursue. Select your bachelor’s degree keeping in mind the assorted options like Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Astronomy, Geology, Social Sciences and more. You may also pursue professional courses like B.Tech, B.Sc, B.Pharma, etc. in your interested subject.

Or to get a bachelor's, Masters's degree and PhD is sufficient?
IIST is ISRO's official college. IISC is also a good one, for PhD in astrophysics u can go for IIA
to get Bchlr+Mstr+PhD - u need to be selective from Bchlr degree itself.

they dont see which college...u need to do btech/bsc and have to get 65%...then ur eligible for seating in exm conducted by isro....after u pass that exam...their will be interview round...and based on ur interview they u decide in what branch(i mean different project are going on there,u will be working in wht..will be decided by them) in isro will be suitable for u to work,...

One thing and the most important thing I really comment on is the Salary that government provides to The great Indian scincetists its the lowest paying yrr matlb itna Respected post ke liye around 15000/ month ( isse Jada to private school teacher ki hoti hai) This is the main reason that most of the people do not want to come in this field and contribute India.... If I want to be a theoretical physicist then do I really have to do JEE or IIT.
No but giving jee advanced is important
It is my recommendation that if you want to become a scientist you should definitely give jee advanced but don't go in IITs
