Defo thanks again trad man glad to have you back i have just acquired a few of these type houses just out of reach because of the canopy above the door and front window they have hoppers some of them so i better get practicing hope everything going better than good for you thanks again
Hi Pete I’m new to window cleaning, could I use this method instead of using a ladder In general? For 2 story houses? I find I’m not very stable and struggle to get a good technique when I’m up the ladder, I am very new so if it’s best to just get used to the ladder I’m more than happy to, really enjoy the videos bud you are very helpful
Great video Pete. I still use a trad pole sometimes and very good on windows that you can't use wfp on (I have a couple of customers that have an old window that leaks but you can't access without a pole). I know you like the moerman but someone recommended me the wagtail high flyer (haven't used the other models really) and its superb - you'd be a dab hand with it mate. PS. Don't care what anyone says, your traditional window cleaning videos are the best on UA-cam by an absolute mile 😊👍
Yeah having trad pole skills is a good thing for a pro window cleaning service. I have tried wagtails but wasn't impressed with the build quality. Appreciate the kind comment buddy, I just practice and then pass on what I've learned over the years. I think the key is to always want to improve and learn more, even if its just refining your techniques. Most pro window cleaners could do what I do with the right tools and techniques plus plenty practice 😉
@@TradMan thanks Pete. I wouldn't be without the trad pole and don't know how some window cleaners do wfp only as it would restrict you quite a lot I think. If you get the chance do try the high flyer - I wasn't overly impressed with the build I saw of any of the others I've, but the high flyer is terrific 👍
How do I get a 30 ft tall large triangle window? I have a 30 foot trad pole but it doesn't swivel... water fed pole only? My 22 ft ladder feels very wobbly up there. Left lots of streaks last time. Anyways Thank you.
How would you do this if it was 1 story higher? So ground floor, first floor, and then the second floor dormer? Would you put a ladder to the edge of the roof and then trad clean the window with a pole, while standing on the ladder?
@TradMan thank you! I think my skills are not there yet to maneuver it from the ground up, but I guess it just needs more practice. Thanks for the tips!
Hi Pete. How do you clean the windows of a second story building when the clients have an extension which you cannot walk on the roof of? Would love to see a video on this in the near future 😊
Yeah its not easy. I've got a few jobs with this issue. Takes a bit of patience and precision. Or you can cheat and use the wfp for that job, entirely your call 😉
I use the xero carbon fiber pole. Love it for traditional. Taking a break my dude. Finishing up a $1200+ house with pella take aparts. It's 90 degrees Fahrenheit with 90+ percent humidity. Stay hydrated and keep the squeegee clean!
Hello mate, sorry for the question that’s not really related to your video (which was really helpful, thank you!)… Do you have a tool or method you use for cleaning out the crap that gathers in the gap under a window frame / above the sill? Been using a bottle and squirting it out… just wondering if there’s anything better… You’re always where I come for advice, appreciate it!
@@TradMan I just got done cleaning a dealership with an Unger 18in. Squeegee from Home Depot using the default black rubber 🤦🏻♂️💀.. I spent all day having to detail those windows 🙅🏻♂️🙅🏻♂️
What poles do you think are good for starters? and how long do you think is a good length? I am looking for one that doesn't have so much wiggle. I am from Denmark and LOVE your content!
Hi buddy I started with an Unger optiloc aluminium, it's cheaper but it has quite a lot of wiggle! The more expensive the pole generally is better carbon. Which in turn is more rigid. It depends on your budget really but the cheaper it is the more bendy it'll be. A good middle of the road choice is the gardiner slx. It's not as expensive as an Unger nlite and is more rigid than an aluminium pole which is also heavy whereas the slx is lighter. But if funds allow I would buy the unger nlite poles. The carbon is top of the range Around 20 - 25ft is a good size for a longer trad pole
The SLX pole is available directly from Gardiner poles online (UK company) I have ladders and poles so anything I can't get to with ladders I can get with the pole. I'd suggest the same setup for you if you can.
6M Aluminium is cheaper but heavy. Fibreglass is a bit more expensive than aluminium and is lighter but bendy. Carbon is light, strong but more expensive So depends on your budget
If you've bought a 14 inch fliq it should be the same length as the 14 inch channel. If it's quite a bit shorter then you've probably been sent the 10 inch version.
How would you deal with cleaning window so high when it’s really hot (around 110f in Phoenix)? The solution dries so quickly that I don’t know what to do…
You have to work a bit quicker and use a little less soap on the washer than you may normally use in more moderate temps. In this video I was working slowly for demo purposes but when not on camera I work much quicker. If its a larger pane you can break it down into sections, ie clean the top half first then the lower half. Make sure the washer is as wet as possible in high heat.
Thanks for teaching an old dog new tricks feller!
Happy to assist 😊
Thanks. Your filming and commentary are, as usual, spot on. Appreciated!
Thanks buddy!! Happy to help ☺️
Well done Pete you’re content helps a lot of people m8
Happy to help folks improve 😊

I’ve always found it more like a Hobbie rather than a job it never feels like I’m going to work, that’s what makes it easy.
Absolutely! Keep up the great work 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Great instruction. I have a pole but I am 65 and just don't have the strength anymore. My windows are even higher than this so they come out streaked.
Have you got a good quality light pole? I use unger nlites, not the lightest but great rigidity and quality
Thank you so much for preaching about Moerman squeegee handle and channel. I don't think I'm going back to normal squeegee any time soon. 😄
Once you master precision tools, any other tool is going backwards 👍🏻

Thanks for your reply 👍 will take that on board
Nice pole,👍
I’m using the phantom trad pole for trad, now with Excelerator
& the Gardener X35 for WFP
Nice!
Master class. Good work

Cheers buddy! Funny thing is I'm actually chilling out watching your vids 🤣
Very well-made video, I just had someone steal my WFP bought a cheaper pole, and didn't work too well.
Fine skills mate 👌 ☘️

You could use a moerman excelerator squeegee on a pole, takes some practice though.
Easier option for most folks is use the wfp system.

I have done that. Or can still trad it from the ground if your pole is long enough. Alternatively use the wfp for the high windows 😊👍🏻

I use a car detailing brush for that and keep it in my pouch. Quick brush and wipe, done 😊👍🏻
Does the moreman excellerator squeegee have the Unger power rubber or is it using whatever rubber it came with?
I prefer unger green rubber.
Moerman rubber is terrible

Tradman can you clean domestic house's in the rain, or do people complain?
I work all year in any weather unless dangerous like high winds or storms. Start as you mean to go on. They get use to it.
Can you attach the moerman angle adapter to a watered pole? Need to get a new extension pole and not sure what to go for yet, thanks
I would not recommend that angle adaptor, it's poorly constructed

Hey mate, thinking of getting the moerman excelerator, what size squeegee do you use? is it 14" or smaller?
If its pole work I use a 14 and 10 inch. (35cm and 25cm)
how do I remove screens from second story windows to clean with extension pole ?
Hello, what ladder do you recommend for a newbie to use for 2 storey window house cleaning ?
I use a 27 rung ramsey A frame ladder from ramsey ladders in Scotland. It's brilliant

I got the unger squeegee I love it less Detailing for my job
Super 👌🏻
What size is that pole? Also aluminum vs fibre glass vs carbon plz

Aluminium is cheaper but heavy. Fibreglass is a bit more expensive than aluminium and is lighter but bendy. Carbon is light, strong but more expensive
So depends on your budget

The moerman excelerator squeegee has a swivel feature or can be locked in fixed mode

You must whoop every video from this day forward 👍🏻
