Happy early Thursday morning 4:50am😊🤗🤭 to be exact. I just love the colors they are soooooooo beautiful. You do such beautiful sweaters. I have to try my hand at this. I will definitely watch the other video for instructions and take notes. I'm happy to see another video from you. Thank you for sharing. Have a peaceful and blessed day 🕊️🙏🏾 HUUUUUGGGGGGGGGSSSSSSSS 🥰👑🌹
I just came upon your video. I want to thank you for making it. This will be a great help for me to construct a sweater of my own. I appreciate it very much. Yours is amazing sis! Keep on creating!!!
thanks again for a great tutorial - I'm just in the process of making the squares for this great sweater - can't wait to see how the finished product looks. love your videos
Definitely thanking you early for the tutorial. These are becoming super popular here in Texas! Will be making a few for myself to be a walking billboard (I love creating conversations with people who may become my customers).
Aja Jo Watson hi do you not have any full tutorials of your granny square cardigans or jackets all the ones I've found so far are showing how to sew it all together not a start to finish but I love the colours you've used extra I'm trying to find one to make for my sister but I need the whole tutorial
Yes I do you can find some at my esty store I have more coming there or you can go there to place a personal order. Links in my UA-cam bio 🧶❤️ Thank you for your support 💕
I’m going to put mine together but I’m little plus size I’m worried about the arms? And I’m not adding a hood so I will have to put the border of the granny square around it! N the pockets too!! I hope mine comes out as good as yours 😔it’s 4:04 am in Texas .. go Astros 🧡🧡
@@ajajoiwatson8561 I took the sleeves apart because they going to be too long. So I took out one roll n I think it will be better.. is the one your working on a adult or child size?
Good morning ☀️ sorry I’m being a thorn in your butt!! If I’m plus size how many panels should I do for the front? And I didn’t crochet black around tbe square either 😔
You are the best 🥰🥰🥰💞💞💞💞ok sooooooo.🙈when I don’t want the holes big don’t chain1 right??lol I heard you but I’m just making sure..btw I love all your videos I want mine to look just like this 😢
Hey Que if you mean on the granny squares yes don't chain one only at the corners of your squares I have a tutorial showing how I made mean. ♥ I'm sure you can make yours this 👍
Aja joi please could you tell me the size of your squares for this particular project and also could you check your calculations too please as I get the total to 53 not 49. 37, 12 and 4 ?
My calculations are as stated in my video 49 squares 10 front 15 back 8 sides 12 hood 4 pockets 10+15+8+12+4=49 The large squares for the arm are not like the other squares and are separate. I go over size of squares in other granny squares tutorials you can view them on my channel.
@@ajajoiwatson8561 Hi I was wondering could I connect the squares together with a different joining method to the one you use. Also could I make this jacket without the hood and with a collar instead ? My squares came out smaller they were supposed to be 5 inches with a 5mm hook I'd already done all my squares and didn't want to undo them all and start again with a bigger hook I just added more rounds to them to get the 5 inch squares they've turned out the size I need for this jacket.
I'm so frustrated I've yet to find a step by step clear instructional tutorial on how to make a granny square cardigan . I have not found one video that really shows what to do . I can find tons of crochet cardigan patterns free on Pinterest , so they are not hard to find but finding a good tutorial that actually shows hands on haven't found one yet . You tell us what we need to do but no instructions and your video that shows how to join granny squares is not the answer for this as it just shows how to join grannies .. very frustrating
Try constructing a simple “T” shape. Measure from wrist to shoulder, shoulder down to whatever length you desire , and around the widest part of torso. Measure your granny and determine the quantity needed. If your squares aren’t quite the right size remove or add rounds. For neck shaping you can use half squares on the diagonal for a more rounded neckline…it’s not a tutorial but hopefully this helps.
Hi Aja could you just verify something for me please as I'm a little confused at the being of your tutorial it says 37 granny squares for body 12 granny squares for the hood and 4 granny squares for pockets 49 squares in total is the 49 just the total for the body and hood because if its pockets aswell I think there is a slight mistake in your calculations ?
If you decide to make this sweater keep in mind that: 1) the size will be MUCH smaller than you expect, particularly in the shoulder area; and 2) when she asks you make 3 fifteen-round squares (1 for each are and one for the back), you may want to omit making the one for the back... as in the video itself she never uses it.... which really sucks and leads me to- 3) this ends up as a SHORT SWEATER, not a long one... because that third square is never used. Just a heads up!
Hi vee g God bless your efforts in achieving this sweater but I must point out a few things 1. You must make sure you are using the right hook size to achieve the right size sweater. 2. There is no large square for the back. There are 2 larges for the arms Which is why you never see me use one for the back. 3. If you used that square for the back yes it will be shorter because that's not where it goes.I used the same squares for the back as the rest of the sweater. I hope you watch and try again I've made and sold so many of these that I can tell from reading this message i cleary see where you may have made your mistakes. Again God bless and happy crocheting❤️🥰🧶

Good day Aja, I'm a plus size 2x-3x. You have any tips for how to increase to fix my size. Beautiful Jacket, love your Channel!
You want to make your squares larger. Measure your back and make squares that when you put together 3 they will make that Width
With your arms your just going to make a granny large enough to go around your arm, close it, and add more to it as needed for length.
🧡🧡🧡🧡
@@ajajoiwatson8561 okay thanks I’m working on it now.
The only thing I don’t like about mine is the sleeves !! I’m going to take them apart n put it to small granny square pattern
Hi Aja I’m 3x and 6ft will that be enough for my size?
Let me do some calculations and I will do my very best to get back to you with that! Thank you for taking the time to watch!
Thank you
Are you using size 4 or 5 yarn for this sweater ?
4 yarn 🧶💕
Let me ask you my arms towards the shoulder is a little bigger than my arms do I do clusters of 3 until the sleeve connects
Are you saying where you sleeve goes is bigger then your sleeve? Then I would adjust (decrease) until they are both same size.
@@ajajoiwatson8561 I took the sleeves apart because they going to be too long. So I took out one roll n I think it will be better.. is the one your working on a adult or child size?
What size are you making and what kind of yarn are you using?
This is a large and because of all the different colors a variety of med 4 yarns. But main color is Bernat.
Where can i see completed sweater?
How are you joining your squares?

10+15+8+12+4=49
