This is one of the great old Calvary movies. I love the lighthearted scenarios that are so different from the usual Cavalry/Western movies.

I first saw this movie as a kid under the title 'The Last Outpost' in the 1960s. I owned it later on, first on VHS, now on DVD. This is one of my, and my sons favorite Cavalry movies. In fact, this movie, and Major Dundee inspired a play pattern for my son. When he was growing up I got him Civil War Soldiers as well as Alamo, and Cowboys and Indians. His favorite scenario was having Union and Confederate Soldiers, and Cowboys, forced to set aside their differences as the Mexican Army had joined the Indians! Both sides had Cannons, but the Union also had 5 Gatling Guns! So while the numbers were fairly even, the Mexicans and Indians all died like 12 times.

They say Ronnie wanted to propose till he knocked up Nancy, if true I liked his first choice, though his second more than survived the test.

Rob, I bet it took you more time stopping and starting as you looked for either emojis or ways to cutely shorten your words……than it would have if you’d just written it out. How old are you, son ?

I think if we see if we have Ronald Reagan now we're we wouldn't have any problem in the world most honest man and he's words better than any weapons in the world we miss them already

Reagan was a gutless wimp. We knew about what became known as AIDS in 1981', but because he was afraid of offending his right-wing Christian friends, he ignored the disease until at least 1987. And even then, his first AIDS Commission didn't have a single doctor or scientist on it. It was only when Rock Hudson, a friend, died that he even put together that commission. It was only at the end of the first Bush administration that we looked as if a drug would be available. Thousands of people who died could have been alive, but they died because Reagan didn't have any courage.

The charge was one of the best I have seen by Hollywood. Then they spoiled it by not driving through, regrouping and charging again.
