- I show the secrets to the world's largest pinball manufacturer, Stern. We see how it's made - Pinball Machines, from start to finish. We show what makes Stern pinball the best in the business as well as give a little history on the man that saved pinball. At the time of production the John Wick pinball was Stern's latest pin on assembly.

Please share this around to anyone that likes pinball! My editor and I put a ton of work into it! :D
Did you editor get the raise?
This is really good 🎉 OMG ❤ you and your crew made it a long way 💯 Thanks yo
I got you bro.
I'd say the simpsons one I actually owned a pinball machine as a kid i don't remember the theme of it but I still have it was definitely a loose.definition of one it didn't have a lot of blinking lights.
Great video matt it looks very stressful just making a pinball machine.
The Man Who Saved Pinball is a great piece of film. It's certainly worth a watch.
Glad to see pinball getting some love on this channel!
This was a great video! Pinball is one of my favorite games. I would play Space Pinball on the Desktop Computer after school! Thanks for sharing this insight into Pinball machines.
I don't play pinball, but this was neat. I love how the company encourages the workers to play pinball on their break. Sounds like that would be fun. 😊
Finally more pinball content! Please add more pinball content
Nice Video Arcade Matt!!!!
6:24 Nostalgia hit me at that moment
This is probably one of your coolest documentary video ever. Hope your channel gets more subscribers for the most consistent UA-camr for at least 15 years.
This was a great video! Thanks for sharing
Another great video that shows us the “guts” of the machine. I love watching these multiple times.
My favorite pinball machine has always been and will always be World Cup 94’.
I love the older pinball machines. But this is awesome to see how they are made. Thanks for sharing
Super happy video Arcade Matt!
My favorite pinball machine is Bally's Twilight Zone. In my country in a local arcade (I'm not from the USA, I'm from Gibraltar), they have it but it's never been turned on for years. I really want to play that pinball machine so badly because it's a classic!
I just love pinball! Thanks for giving us a tour on how pinball machines are made Matt!
This is so cool! I like this “how it’s made” style video. Would be cool to see other videos for arcade games too if that isn’t already planned
He made a video of how bay tech makes arcade games
@@thomaswhitten468 oh I’ll go check it out. Thank you for the heads-up!
@@maidoutfit no problem
I feel like Matt had more fun filming this video than he did publishing it. He had to have been amazed by what he learned behind the scenes.
Nice Job And Nice Work Arcade Matt!!!!
Love this style of video Matt!
I'm a bit of a pinball nerd so this makes me giddy. Fond memories going to an old restaurant as a kid that had a Terminator 2 pinball machine and I would play it nonstop
Nice to see a pinball video from you.
Funhouse & Bride of Pinbot are my two favorite pinballs of all time.
Super cool video, I really like this style of video. It must've been awesome to actually see these in person.
This was great content. Very cool stuff.
Happy Sunday, Matt 🎉
Thank you for this very interesting video. I've always wondered how they build pinball machines. Great content keep up the awesome work!!
I love when arcade Matt posts a video
Well done Matt! Keep spreading the pinball word 👏👏👏
Awesome Matt
I visit with Stern Pinball every year when I go to San Diego Comic Con. They are always so nice, and they show me all the new things with their machines. If I ever get a place where I have enough space for a pinball machine I am absolutely getting a Stern.
Yea they're great! My Deadpool pin is still going strong 5+ years later!
There was a local old school arcade in the town next to mine when I was a kid in the early-mid 1990s, and they had a pinball machine that I fell in love with👍 That pinball machine was "Twilight Zone" (Bally, 1993)🙏 Unfortunately in 1999 that arcade permanently closed😞 As a young kid my parents exposed me to the original Twilight Zone tv show, and to this days The Twilight Zone is one of my all-time favorite tv shows. Every year, I love watching the New Year's Eve Twilight Zone marathon on the Sci-Fi network👍 In 2019, a small retro themed arcade opened in the town next to me, and in 2021 they got an original mint condition Twilight Zone pinball machine😁 I go there at least twice a month to play me beloved Twilight Zone pinball🙏
Favorite game of mine is the pinball machine! Talk about adrenaline rush, especially when you get those moves dialed in…awesome Matt!
I know its so satisfying!!
As someone who enjoys playing pinball machines (hence my arcade channel Pinball Predator) this is absolutely amazing footage Matt! It’s really cool to see the tons of time and effort Stern goes through in the factory to assemble these amazing machines. Thank you for putting together this video to show the rest of us at home!
That was a really great video. I was really surprised that the decals are attached so early in the process and how casually the workers do it. It was also great seeing a replay fx clip 👍🏻
Yea same I was shocked that was one of the first things!
This is cool, just spent yesterday at a pinball show playing the new john wick and i wish they would have used a gun grip launcher.
Very cool! One of my favorite pinball cabinets was a Simpsons one - I've never even watched the Simpsons, but the skatepark I would often go to as a kid had the cabinet in the lobby that I'd play ever now and then. MEMORIES.
very well done! great meeting you and hope your viewers enjoy this excellent pinball content
These pinball machines are totally cool, because since in the 1970's, the judge has been overruled with different production companies as named is Robert Shark that who showed up in court to helping bringing a pinball machine.
Huh?
Sharpe not Shark and it wasn't that dramatic. Some cities such as NYC, LA and Chicago banned pinball in the 40s due to the Pinball Parlors being tied to the Mafia and illegal gambling scene. Keep in mind that the rest of the state, where those cities are located in didn't have such bans. All Roger Sharpe did was prove to those cities that pinball was no longer a game of chance and is 100% skill. In other words, it's for amusement now and not under the table gambling.
Great video, Thank you, Matt!
This is a super cool video Matt! I would love more of these mini behind these scene videos! I will share the video with as many people as I can!
Thanks glad you enjoyed!
I love these videos. I still remember the one when you went to Baytek back in 2016-2017!
I’m not a pinball fan. However, in the UK I went to this gaming warehouse place. Had lots of classic video games and lots of pinball too. I fell in love with the Addams Family machine. Played it for quite a while. Really enjoyed it. :)
Really interesting video Matt. 😊
Cool seeing this content from you Matt!
I love history. Thank you for posting this. And if I must say. I was a pretty good pinball player back In The day. Placing the balls I loved doing as a baseball pitcher
We need more "Arcade Matt's Arcade Matters." series.
My how times have changed. In 2008 (ish), the Discovery Channel covered pinball (at Stern's old factory) in their "How It's Made" series and it was over 1/2 a mile worth of wiring in the machine back then. It's impressive that they were able to reduce it to 1/4 mile now. It's thanks to the node network system (aka the SPIKE hardware) that they were able to achieve this. Think of it as having multiple minicomputers in the machine and all of them are networked together via Ethernet cable.
Yup exactly, they said older machines are half a mile but now 1/4. Still alot of wires tho!
@@arcade_matt
You should see some of the fully loaded machines from the 90s. I just got a Data East Jurassic Park last month and the sheer amount of wiring in it is well over a half a mile.
Hook was always my favorite pinball machine growing up. I would love to find it again
Woaahhh thats awesome Matt. Always like your videos and yes pinball brings alot of memories back.
Super interesting video, Matt!
Fascinating!! Cool vid! I'm about 45 minutes outside of Chicago in Northwest Indiana...gotta get up there to see the place!
I highly recommend going to pinball expo in Chicago in October. It’s tons of fun and you can play as much as you want.
Matt I’ve been waiting for you to dive further into pinball. So heck yes you did an amazing job on this video. There are many over the yrs with stern tours but yours was far better than a lot out there. I had the chance a year past to play a tournament game of turtles with Tim sexton and he is an amazing dude among many at stern. Fun fact I just got a new in box rush premium this year I had waiting for me since it’s released. What a fun game dedicated to a band I love. Also Deadpool is awesome!!!
Oh and retro Ralph shouted you out on the triple drain podcast some days back as he talked about meeting you and how awesome that was . They shared your page so others in pinball could find you
Love the behind the scenes look Matt. ❤
Shame I don't have a pinball machine - after watching this, I'd certainly like to one day! Great behind the scenes video :)
That was interesting Matt :) Thanks
Wasn't sure I'd like this video , but you know what I loved it, love this style video like seeing how stuffs made its really interesting, great video matt ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
Godzilla is honestly still p solid for me. Iron Maiden and Dr No also for modern Stern. Glad you are making pinball content. You are actually in the position to hit the new niche as one of the biggest pinball channels if you wanted. With Jack Danger retired you could definitely take his spot for content.
Super cool video!!!! Favorite machine is Swords of Fury.
Amazing video!
Awesome pinball vid Matt, keep covering it
Awesome video brother
This is beautifully done. Excellent thumbnail and great content.
Anyone remember the movie tilt. With Brooke Shields. Every time I see or play a Pinball machine, I think of that movie..
Cool video Matt! It’d be fun to see you play and give pro tips some time!
I love pinball.
One of my favorite pinball machines has always been PinBot.
Bro!!! Soooo jealous!! I love pinball machines, my favorite one is Aerosmith or the walking dead!! That’s crazy how much work goes into making one machine. Thanks for sharing this video!!
Glad you enjoyed! Both great pins too!
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing. Greetings from Nova Scotia Canada
Cool video!
Medieval Madness is my all time favorite pinball game. Would love to own one sometime.
I'm friends with guys that supply pinballs to Australia and they own a place called beercade. Nearly all of the newer pinballs are the limited edition versions. They're getting John wick next month and I really can't wait to try it.
I don't play pinball much but this was fascinating!
How it’s made: Matt edition
One of my all time favorites has to be the F14 tomcat
cool look behind the scenes
I would love to be the guy at the end of the assembly line playtesting everything lol
Hey man, i saw your machine at haven lakeland uk, its kinda hard because theres that arrow thing in the middle where you put the tokens in
Pinball is an all skill game? Tell that to my three house balls! In all seriousness, great video!!
IKR!! LOL - Some days it seems sooo rigged haha
its so good the way they are made the people are so clever
Medieval Madness was my top favorite for so long.... till Godzilla arrived! Love that table 🤩
ARCADE MATT IM THE GUY YOU MET AT CEDAR POINT AT STEEL VENGEANCE TODAY!

Eeeeek! Welcome to Chicago Matt!
Freaking awesome
Do you have any pinball machines?
I know Matt has a Stern Deadpool. He has a second one, but he keeps on changing it apparently.
At least a 50% raise!!!
Stern is really the king of pinball
truth!
I do like spin balls but I don’t know which one is my favorite.I play the spider man one,Scooby-Doo one and I also play the simp one. I live in suburbs of Chicago,Illinois.
Are you still in Chicago??? I think it would be so cool to see you!!!
No sorry this was almost a month ago.
very interesting video.
I never knew about the banning of pinball back in the day until the court case overruled it! Looks like you iwe your editor a raise lol but seriously though This was Awesome! Excellent Work Mr. Matt 😃
I recently played the Godzilla one, I think it was made by stern. It was the same model.
You should follow up with the Pinball Museum in Vegas that has some of those 30's Pinball games.
thank you for the UA-cam video Matt
Just curious, do they repair older pinball machines from different companies (like Ballys, Williams, Gottlieb, etc.) too?
Stern Pinball? No, they just manufacture them.
Wow never thought Matt would visit China.
Amazing
Good video
Pirates of the Caribbean
I won a bowl roller game got the 500 point on the first try thanks to watching your videos
Awesome
You should check out Technology Connections, he's been doing videos lately on an old Aztec pinball machine from the 70's, before there were computers in them at all.
I saw those! The old electromechanical machines. They are a pain to go through, but once everything is dialed in they remain running rock solid for years.
