하와이웨깅에 아름다운 드레스가 인상적인데 이 영화를 보고 하와이 첫 휴가와서 기념으로 알로하드레스를 여러벌 구입해 입고 다녔어요. 오래된 드레스를 지금도 갖직하고 있어요. 두 아들 졸업식에 입고 찍은 사진을 보다가 세월이 참 빠르게 지나감덧 같아 ...꼬맹이때 입은 드레스를 입고 두아들 하와이주립대학교 졸업식에 가면서 기념으로 오래된 드레스와 장신구를 했는데 기뻐요. 제게 의미있는 드레스라서...토미바하마 레스토랑에서 가족과 함께 저녘먹고 옷가게를 구경하다가 기념으로 사입은 꽃무늬드레스를 입고 둘째아들 하와이 고등학교 졸업식에 가서 찍은 사진을 보니 감회가 새로워요. 유럽여행하며 가지고 다녔는데 그 오래된 드레스에 얽힌 샤연이 많아요. 그래서 빈티지애호가가 되었는지도 몰라요. 하와이에 살면서 날씨가 무더워 사입은 하와잉풍 원피스와 드레스, 비치웨어, 장신구등을 입고 다니다보니 한국과 기후가 틀려 편하다는 생각이 들었어요. 그래서 즐겨입게 되었어요. 패션이란 기후와도 밀접한 관계가 있는것 같은 생각이 드네요. 햇살이 눈부셔 착용하기 시작한 선글라스와 양산같은것들도 한국에서는 여름한털인데 하와이는 사계절 기후가 비슷해 자주 사용하게 된것 같아요.

I saw this at the theater as a young girl. Double feature, Blue Hawaii and Pit and the Pendulum ( scared me half to death). I begged for the album and my mom bought it for me....I still have it. I do not care for Elvis's movies but this one I do like.

My favorite of all of Elvis' movies. I think because it seamed the most realistic of all his movies and not so lame. I heard somewhere that he hated his movies because he felt they had no substance. A personality types I guess. After almost 40 years RIP Elvis.

I stayed at the hotel where this was filmed. I even saw where they filmed the Blue Hawaii song. A friend of mine worked at this place and got to see Elvis when he stayed there. I just love this song.
