Guitar neck contour shaping

In this video I show how I map out the shape for a guitar neck contour. I shape the neck contour with rasps, files, sanding sticks and sandpaper to create a smooth straight C shaped contour with flawless transitions at the heel and valute. I've been using this technique for a long time because I've never had a deadhead sander ( looking into making my own ) or any type of machinery that could make this task easier. Use a gunstock copy carver then file and sand it to perfection! The way you do it here is not business efficient, its for someone who builds a few guitars and that's it!

I have contemplated using my copy carver in the past. I've seen it done without a gunstock holding fixture. It is a good idea. Thanks!
