ORIGINALLY THEY TOLD ME THE PRICE WOULD UNDER 3000.00 USD AND THAT MADE ME TAKE ALL THE TIME TO MAKE THE VIDEO, BUT UPON SEEING THEIR FINAL COST ITS ACTUALLY EXACTLY THE SAME AS BUSH COMPANY'S ALPHA AND SLIGHTLY LESS THAN THE MUCH BETTER BUILT ALU CAB.

I would love to try one. I have a Santa Fe. Really great running and first I’ve owned. Usually drove Chevrolet Tahoe or suburban. Last I had was a trailblazer. But I got a great deal a couple years ago and just an oil change and now tires are all I’ve needed to do. I’ve truly been blessed with it.
I’m wondering if the tents are universal. I would love to check one out! Beautiful video. It seems almost effortless in ease of operation. I have neck, back and knee issues, so it’s important for me. I love that you’re posting on All Three channels today. Take care Richie. I’m glad RFB IS BACK!!!

I Know all about tents since I use to live in one lol but nothing about tents on top of a truck ! I bet that hard top is nice ! The fabric looks nice & thick too , I bet the condensation ain't that bad inside .
Nice tent, but for the difference, think I'd rather have yours. Ditto on the collapsing ladder! What a conveinience. Screw the usb ports. Can always run a usb extention from cab.

As you have experience with all, why do you prefer a tent like this or the alucab over the maggiolina? My concern is the weight. I see that the maggiolina offers pretty much the same but being much lighter. Obviously this type offer options for mounting stuff that maggiolina doesn’t. But again, put a lot of weight on the roof concerns me

I believe that your awning can be attached to the tent so no extra fittings to the roof rack.

Great videos, super helpful. I think it’s super interesting that you can use without a roof rack. To me that could be a big upside. I’m not at the roof top tent level yet, but will see next year.

Wish I had a Jeep to go with a collapsible tent I can’t afford.
I do like camping but my better half can’t be convinced to try anything other then an rv. This could do it though.
BTW, I never realIzed how ‘military’ you are. I guess you can take the person out of the army but can’t take the army out of the person. Maybe just me but you appear like a drill sergeant going over a battle plan.
I’m not American. Maybe that’s why. We don’t have much military here and don’t see to much military activity either.
Update: husband thought the tent and having an off road Jeep is cool! Wish it was that easy to convince him to buy more emergency food stuff

Good review Richie. Wow, $3500-4000 for one of those tents? That's a lot of loot but if you use it a lot, it might be worth it. When you're way out in the middle of nowhere, can't you put up like a regular tent? I got a nice dome tent that sleeps like four people for under a hundred bucks. I would want to make a fire and cook food and relax. I know when you go camping and get away from the city and you look up in the sky at night, you see millions of stars.

Not bad, like you l thought the welds looked a bit rough, also memory foam is toxic, so it would be better to have a latex mattress, you can get organic natural latex...
Do you recommend Alu Cab or Bush Co RTT and do you think 🤔 awning is a must for overlanding. My load capacity with Rhino Rack Backbone is 264LBS
id go bush company super well made and they have an awning to go with it perfectly under your weight limit.

The only thing i dont like is the welds on the corners of the cover... i am a welder and those welds are garbage. But over all looks nice and simple.
I agree couldnt miss them, plus its not filling a void alu cab and bush company already did it better
@@jailbreakoverlander Coming from the country of manufacture, those welds are normal, anywhere else they would be seen as substandard or a quality fail. Thats why I will buy IKamper!!!

What are the dimensions?
These tents keep getting heavier and heavier. Same with the awnings. Before you know it, between the tent, the rack, the awning and the solar panel, you have 250 pounds or more of weight 6-8 ft high which can't be great for on or off road handling and safety. And it just adds another layer of safety and hardship when it comes to taking it off and putting back on . Someone has to come up with a more weight optimized hard-shell tent that still allows one to mount stuff on it instead of just copying designs.
its called a go fast camper tent 100lbs and Ive never had a single issue with mine and I actually use mine for real.
JailBreak Overlander I’ve seen it. Very good obsession with keeping that weight down..just hoped they could do better than a 2” mattress :). I currently use a ground tent with an EXPED duo 4” mattress so not going to be easy to transition..
