Ok, as much as I hate to say it; Andy C without 1210’s just isn’t the same. It’s too easy, just pressing buttons. I haven’t listened to an actual set, but have seen plenty of video of evidence now and the mystique has now been removed. ‘HOW THE FUCK DID HE DO THAT?!!’ Has turned into ‘He just pressed a button’ 😒 the artistic / creative element has gone, he’s just another robot. I feel it’s somewhat of a metaphor of Western society…..
Andy has earned his stripes for a long time already; what else is their to prove on vinyl? he already has established himself as the don of DNB..time to move on and stop being bitter..besides that CDJ's are less likely to skip ( vinyl has the tendency to have the needles jump )
Dont be that guy. He is proving himself to be goat for 35 years. And maybe its because he started to lose his ability to hear perfectly dude. Imagine being in your 50 and being in this enviroment for this many years. It gotta happen someday or another
Djing was always about pressing buttons, no need for romanticism there. He stopped pitching 'real' records at least 14 years ago, but just used traktor. Playing with Pioneers is simply the most convenient (no skipping vinyl, no need for turntables etc). You have any idea how much trouble it is to travel with vinyl records around the world? And how long it takes to actually be able to mix another record if you first need to grab a record, put it on a platter, put the needle on and adjust for tempo? Technology serves djs and enables Andy to do triple drops etc. That simply is impossible with vinyl. As someone else already said: the guy can beatmatch and has nothing to prove. It's simply about playing loops easily and being very quick with loading tracks etc. Playing vinyl has nothing to offer from a technical perspective: it doesn't show the 'true ability' of a dj.
len v tomto prosím pokračuj ;)

Nice one for filming that. First time I've seen Andy not using turntables.
yet to be impressed by him on cdjs yet. too much arm waving and faffing about :/
His track selection and mixes would be the same regardless@@weez81

His sets are much worse in quality too (saw him live late last year).
