I'm glad to see your long troubleshooting videos, please keep uploading this kind of content!! I moved recently with my family to the USA from Spain and this is being very useful for my new job here!! thanks a lot!!
Thanks :) Its hard to decide like how much should I keep in the videos, and should I make it “seamless”, I personally think it gives more value if there are some issues, as the propose of the videos is to learn something. If everything goes to plan seamless then just read the book instead :) But I don’t want to make to complicated things as it may discourage people from trying themself in a lab or in a real prod environment.
Hi @Magnus , great job that you shared this content, when I was going through your video, some questions camed to my mind. 25:33 mentioned that, if you press clean install button acctintially, we need to use back up after upgrade. my question would be, if we use backup on R81.10 but we have done backup on R81 39:56 mentioned that, dedicated log server must be also at the same version as the SMS. But if we just have done jumbo hotfix upgrade, not major upgrade, in that case, must we upgrade the logserver to same jumbo hotfix?
More or less you will need to revert snapshot (this should be done automatically if you accidentally click clean install) I don’t believe it’s enforced to have the same jumbo accross the servers, however it’s recommended. When it comes to major versions, this is enforced so all the mgmt servers need to be the same (there are some exceptions when it comes to smart event)

Nice! Honestly the r81.10 has been working great for us, upgraded 5-6 MDS now and all has been seamless.
great vid, just upgraded my mds to latest version and went smoother that expected..
Yes it’s getting easier :)
Been running one of my MDS on r81.10 now for a month so time to upgrade the rest of them
Any video regarding the ccms (multi domain etc) ??? Are you preparing anything about it? Thank you for your videos overall !!!

With "watch api status" you can check the main processes starting ...
Yes, good command and tip to check if the boxes are up correct. :)
Is it not easier to do central deployment now to keep Gateways (excluding management servers) up to date?
Yes it’s easier, now some upgrades can be done via smartconsole
