These Mihari breaking down moments are all the more bittersweet when you find out that she used to be close with Mahiro and always tried to get his praise and attention. That desire for praise resulted in her becoming a literal genius and causing Mahiro to develop a sort of inferiority complex where he felt like a burden then became a shut-in for the past 2 years. Mihari is finally spending time with her brother (for now sister) and you can tell they're both loving every moment

tbh it's one of the things that got to me in the show since personally I'm always pretty harsh on myself and I can't recognize when I make little steps towards improvement and progress until others point it out to me so it was really nice to see his sister support him all the way.

For ones the brocon isn't like "i want my brother to become my boyfriend or that" but she cares and like her brother in a sort of normal way and just want him to stop be a shut in
It's not _quite_ a normal sort of way. She's still attracted to him and wishes he was attracted to her, but it's true she never tries to romance him or anything. Her feelings as a sister vastly outweigh her feelings as a brocon.
She is atrracted to him in a healthy way not that way and plus along with the whole series the show make a strong point of how close they are back then but suddenly he is a neet he shut down all activities with her this forward make her want revive their relationship again @@BloodrealmX

Why were people outraged over this show. I read the manga outa curiosity and it's really just a wholesome comedy about a former piece of crap bettering himself. There was some mild fanservice but nothing that was gross. No full nudity or even very sexual situations. The worst was the his younger sister getting drunk and kissing her friend. Twitter is freaking weird

I loved it since learning it was going to be an anime and proceeded to read a few chapters
The only part I dislike is how they did Mihari's friend. The boobs are way too exaggerated when compared to the manga. But I just ignore those parts and enjoy the rest of the anime.
It was the face value aspect of it. Much of the anime and manga seems to be more akin to “Healing” slice of life animes or standard comedies however the premise (that being a male Hiki-NEET is forcibly transformed into a female middle schooler) gave off some uhhhh… not so safe for work vibes. People just assumed that it’s one of those lolicon ecchi-fests you’d find on a hentai site.
