hi mate .... how are you ... very nice video .... Iam from Iraq and we used toyota its our main brand in Iraq.. your video in english most of Iraqi cannot understand so you think can i transalete your video and use it again in my channel with ref. to your channel as the onwer
I have a 2020 Prius Prime Limited just like the limited in this video. I absolutely love it. The electric range doesn’t sound like a lot but the real world results are that I have gone over 2000 miles and have only used almost 1/8th of a tank of gas. That is less then 1.48 gallons of gas. It’s not the fastest to charge and because of the small battery it’s constantly charging but it works.
At normal gasoline prices and average residential electrical cost there is a significant savings on fuel…. However the increased cost of a prime vs a standard Prius greatly reduces that advantage. The resale value is a good thing to look at in my opinion to see if you maintain a higher resale in say 3 to 5 years. Now that gasoline is approaching $4.00 a gallon it makes even more economical sense however the cost of used Prime’s are being advertised more than a new one and new ones are virtually impossible to find. Keep in mind that when you buy a new one you do qualify for a federal income tax credit and possibly state income tax advantages in some states. For me, I believe buying a new Prime and financing at 1.9 to 4.0 interest rate makes sense. The fuel economy saves more money than the interest if you drive 15,000 plus miles per year and the tax credit is a great bonus. I have not owed a Prime but I have owned two 2009 and one 2021 Prius limited. Absolutely wonderful automobiles. We also have in our household have Lexus NX 350H, Ford F-250 & F150 trucks a Toyota Tacoma and a Porsche 911. The Lexus NX is probably the best vehicle I have ever owned. That being said the Prius is the best car for the money we have.
We’ve had Prius’ since 2013 and just purchased a 2022 Prius Prime XLE which we have wanted for for almost a year. (In May we traded in our 2016 for a 2022 Prius XLE when we got tired of waiting for the Prime and loved everything about it but the color.) THEN 2 months later the Prime finally came in! So we traded again!! We love it of course, but I was a bit, ok…a LOT disappointed that we lost all the camera safety detections especially the Cross Rear Blind spot detection!😩. But I guess what we gained will make up for that! Thanks for the reviews!!
Thanks for putting this together. When you're comparing models it would be helpful to always display a label onscreen indicating which vehicle you're viewing. Thanks again!
I have a very similar XLE - Titanium Glow. Mostly around town driving, but between fill-up (only had 3 in 13 months - my gas mileage is around 164 MPG. During my 40 Mile (1-way) trips for appointments and shopping. Drive between 25 adn 30 on EV and rest of the trip in Hybrid Mode. My only complaint is not being able to shut off the verbal driving directions - very annoying on my familure routes, but somewhat helpful getting to a new destination. My Garmin allows me to do that. I added Toyota Crss Bars, door guards and after market paint protection to my XLE. Took 13 months to get to 4000 miles because of COVID-19 limitations on going to work and travel.
I would like to see a “2020 Prius at night video.” I’ve been thinking a lot lately of trading in my 17 Corolla SE to a 2020 Prius. It just makes me wonder what the 2020 Prius looks like at night with how the headlights, DRLs, high beam lights, fog lights, back up lights, tail lights look. I don’t know anybody that owns a Prius but I’m sure my local Toyota Dealership wouldn’t even lend me one.. due to Covid, even tho there’s no active cases in my town. Plus no one has made a video about “2020 Prius at night” yet on UA-cam.
I just bought a blue LE. LOVE the car, I did not like the big screen in the other trims. Its slower to turn on, navigation is pointless since its on my phone mounted on a vent and adjusting the fan speed is much simpler on the LE with cool switches. Only thing I would add to mine are fog lights. I also likes the higher trims for more driver seat adjustments but its no big deal. My cloth seats are very comfortable and they are better in Canada when you first enter the car and its not as cold as leathers would be.
I bought the XLe last December. I used to commit before COVID 640 miles 5 days a week. I would charge it twice and I would generally fill the tank Sunday or Monday. I imagine it could have done better but I live in the northeast and in the winter I would usually get an average of 19-22 miles of charge. I also had significant hills to drive on the highway. I grew frustrated at first because on long up hills it would scale back on power. Overall, I’m pleased. I bought the car for its efficiency and it delivered. Everything else is secondary. Oh, and the tax credit, if you qualify makes this car a no brainer. Your walking away with the price of a Corolla after the tax credit.
HI Thank you fore your help with prius prime it is real helpful, I have prius prime 2021 LE, seats not comfortable, my question can I install leather seats from prius XLE, is it going to fit all connection ? thank you so match.
I'm torn between the xle and limited.. I wonder how much different the jbl sound is.. I 🤔 think the xle has the same number of speakers 🔊... We'll see I'm also torn between this and the nissan leaf 🍃
thank you very much for the video the Toyota Prius prime is one of my favorite Toyotas but unfortunately where I live which is 95% wineries they require you to come in and sample their wines and the wineries have charging stations but unfortunately there are only two regular charging stations here in my hometown and I am an apartment dweller tough decision if you have to charge your car thanks for the video
Just got a 2021 XLE in 2024’ pretty cool vehicle! I like this dood!! Haha Does anyone know how to find the Battery Charge though? 1. Is there a percentage option? 2. Can the battery be displayed front and center?
I have a 2013 Prius with solar panel and I honestly can’t see going to a plug in any time soon. Average 50MPGs plus and with the cost of kWh in NC I don’t think you will save any money. And the loss of the trunk space is very bad. Toyota needs to figure out how to make the hatch flat like the regular Prius. It’s a non starter for me for the loss of trunk space.
Thanks Jeff, does the Prime have the Remote Connect? My 2020 Prius Limited didn't come with it, wish I had it. Was wondering if the remote connect can be an added on feature purchase.
Then it would run like a regular Toyota hybrid. That is battery will self charge through engine and regenerative braking. And your drive will be powered by the mixture of both depending on need.
I think you got the efficiency numbers wrong , it gets 133 MPGe in all electric mode, so for 25 miles . And 55/53 MPG once the battery is depleted beyond some arbitrary low level, in which case it operates like a standard Prius in hybrid mode.
The battery cooling vent could be placed somewhere better imo. If I am carrying 4 other people, that is something I would not want to worry about for long trips.
@@rx3la How do you get the rebate? The dealer never mentioned it to me. Do you just buy the car and a check comes in the mail? Or do you have to apply to get it?
I love the Rav4 Prime, but the Prius Prime is a fail in my opinion. They should have made at least the top trim more performance oriented like the Rav4. Many buyers like me want a sporty fun to drive vehicle that is also very efficient. I would rather see the lower trims focus on max efficiency and the Limited be more of a balance between efficiency and performance, maybe only delivering 45 mpg combined, but being a lot quicker and more fun than lower trims.
lol heavy filming and lifting and heavy commenting. i like them. would like to see more colors out in the daylight. issue for me is twice the systems twice the failure possibility and repairs down the road. i doubt the battery and generator can last 400 000 miles or more like toyota's gasoline engines can so it will lead to expensive repair relatively early. the generators dont tend to last and neither do the batteries. several thousand dollars for each totaling about half the price of the car to repair so kind of negating fuel savings?

Limited PRime or XLE PRime better? Tough choice
You’re still paying for the kWh. I don’t think it saves you any money. It’s either pay at pump or at charger.
@@ejc1214 that why it’s has both gas and electricity
How much is charged and do you have to keep charging or...im so confused between prius prime or prius hybrid

I own a 2017 Prius with 150,000 miles and first owner! No issues at all! She just keeps going. Toyota baby!
At that price point rear cross traffic safety alert should be standard on all trim levels.
You're the first one I've seen hang up the electric cover cap. Everyone else just lets it hang off the side possibly scratching the paint. 👍👍👍

Your videos always give me a lot of information, specially when you compare the cars like this. Great vide, awesome job Jeff. Thanks.
Your hip thrust earned you a thumbs up!
Excellent thanks haha!!
you are so entertaining to watch!!! thanks for being amazing
Small correction. The 133 MPGe rating refers to EV use only, not gas usage.

I have the 2020 limited and love my car, although I have yet to try the self park option. I had that option on my 2010 as well and never used it
Best review by a one man team.
I don’t even need a car and I’m here... 😂
Jeff I really like your style and very easy to understand.

That black one looks slick. Good info on the three trims.
Beautiful videos, I have a 2009, Prius and looking towards betting it when older :)
Awesome info and love the humor 👍🏼
Great review !
Thanks Rob
The Limited’s color on the XLE.Why would anyone buy the LE, when the XLE is the same price.
Great videos.
Hi Jeff. Thanks for this video. Have you done one like this with the regular Prius line?

Prius vs leaf you cant compare. The leaf doesnt have a long range at all. The prius is the beast between the 2.

I LOVE PRIUS THANK YOU
Great comparison!! Can you compare all the trim levels for the 2020 Prius? Thank you!
They need to make an AWD option for the Prime, that's the grandaddy for me throw in Sunroof with leather seats and I'm ready to rock
Great job at making the video. Thank you
You're awesome thank you for the great demo
On the Limited edition, you get a CD player along with Android car play.
I have to say this is an informative video
So for 5000 extra, all you get is wireless charging and an option for white seats? That's pretty awful.
JBL speaker kit and Fog lights as well
hey sir would you do a trim levels comparison between the sienna l le se xle and limited please thx 🙏
Are there any major differences between the previous years 17-19 from the 2020 model other than the extra 5th seat in the middle?
Lol you’re so funny. Thank you for the video!

Sup Jeff, love the limited color and the plane
Does the LE have navigation? I saw a button says MAP. And I was wondering if the LE has Navi?
If I was to choose between limited and XLE, what’s the better choice?
Can you keep it plugged in while it's raining?

Hi Jeff, thanks for this video. The solar roof .....
what do you think of this optional ?
I’m not really a fan of it. Glad they don’t offer it anymore lol
I had the solar on my 2010 and actually loved the feature. It kept my car cooler on hot days
Does the solar roof produce enough power for air conditioning? Fantastic
Thanks Jeff.
What about the Prius prime premium?
Thanks Jef,
Next time please explain gearshaft
Very easy & intuitive to drive. I was afraid it would be hard to learn, but super easy. Not much different than a regular car
why cant i get prime with big screen in norway?
Just curious if you sell many of these?
Do any of the models come with a sunroof?
No. Hopefully Toyota will update that in the coming few years.
which one has a moonroof, 17 inch wheels, and ambient lighting? hehe damnnn
Can you place regular prius spare tire in prius prime spare tire area?
where can I get some of those "let's go places" license plate frames? I cannot find them anywhere online.
Does Toyota offer a sunroof on a Prius Prime?
Thank you! :)
Cheapest is best.
you know if toyota sell spare tires for these prius??
If you couldn't charge it, would that mean it would only run on the gas motor?

Correct pronunciation on the "Qi" wireless charging.

30k for a Prius? What the hell aren’t baby Benz like 30k
U get like 5-6k in rebates making it 25k or else AND THEN u get 4k tax credit , and THEN depending on ur state u get 1-2k rebate in a check
@@rx3la How do you get the rebate? The dealer never mentioned it to me. Do you just buy the car and a check comes in the mail? Or do you have to apply to get it?
Good luck getting a baby benz getting the miles per gallon like the prius. Also the space. And that benz is going to depreciate waaaaay more.
The American version of the Prius looks much better than the European counterpart.
