Borough Market always crowded with singles and doubles using a 4 seat table leaving no room for foursomes to sit. In cold climate thge doors always seem to be open with a gale blowing through everytimne someone leaves or enters. Coffee shop very small, once again two doors open allowing cold winds to blow through so not a pleasant experience. The staff are excellent as is the food served in the main dining room where we spent most of our mealtimes. Food was always hot and a 4 course meal at dinner was excellent.. In all the bars the drinks are served, we were on the full drinks package but didn’t drink as much in the second week. Drinks reasonable price ie, £6.60 for a gin and tonic, soft drinks £1.40. Cocktails £6.60 so decent prices. The one thing that did impress was the constant cleanliness of the ship with handrails, skirtings and carpets cleaned regularly. Tables in Borough market always clean, knives and forks etc on tables which is helpful.
Wow what a great comment......I totally agree with all of your points. We had a great cruise, but there were a few niggles. We are on P&Os Ventura soon....we've done Iona, so are very interested is seeing how she compares
@@TasteTrekkerTales We picked the Ambience 1) because it left from Tilbury and 2) because of the number of passengers (1200) and 3) it was an over 50,s cruise. Will try a P&O smaller ship next time.
I travel from Manchester...so Southampton and Tilbury are both a distance. We loved the smaller ships...and am really interested in checking out Ventura. I'll do a vlog so you can have a nosy. Make sure your subscribed. If you want me to film anything in particular, let me know
I couldn't agree more about them serving you food at the buffet... Much more hygienic. Also, feels a little bit more special than having to serve yourself...
Good morning, I'm 20 min drive from Liverpool so compared to 5 hour drive just come back from Southampton from queen victoria ❤ beautiful ship 🚢, ambition was really good 👍
Yes, that definitely makes Liverpool the better option. Shame we don't get more cruise lines sailing out from there. I'm currently looking at which cruises. I want to book next year. I've never sailed on Cunard....but it is on my list
we did the GH radio cruise and to be honest was not that impressed, this week looks a lot less manic.... had to laugh about the expulsion repulsion lot turning up...did the same too us too and the ship got diverted a 45 min bus ride away.
@@TasteTrekkerTales personally not really .. it became obvious to use the if the ship is at capacity it really cant cope... ww spent far too much time either hunting for space to sit and waiting on drinks, we like you brought the top drinks package and barely used it... I think next time it may be back to Marella
Oh no...that's not good. We are on P&Os Ventura for our next cruise. We have done some really big ships (Iona, Virtuosa, Regal and Sky Princess)....so Ventura is more mid size. We may try Marela next year too.....never sailed with them

Went on ambition from Liverpool I gave everything a 10 ,food, staff , ship ,entertainment fabulous 👌
Really, thats good....I'm thinking of booking Ambition next year. We live in Manchester, so Liverpool is really convenient for us

Absolutely...I'm not a lover of self-serve buffets. Especially when you see people just walking past the hand sanitizer dispensers!!
Really enjoyed it!! Will definitely cruise with them again!
Yeah...can't believe we are home ☹️
