You mixed the Explicit Versions of the Lyrics and the Censored versions. It's either "Fuck the pain away my bed is in ruins" or "Fight the pain away my head is in ruins"
Ok, so, here me out... Sonic actualy dies in Forces and Eggman took over the world and killed all of his enemies. However, Eggman hated Sonic and his friends so much that he revived them, then gave them a tiny sliver of hope that they could live on simply so that he could still enact his revenge. However, they still had all of their memories, so they tried to fight against Eggman, then Sonic Forces happened as it did. This is where Sonic Frontiers comes in, right in that moment after Eggman kills them but before Eggman revives them, when everyone is dead. Sonic Frontiers gives Sonic an open world of limitless freedom to run around, fight in combat, and do parkour, which sound like heaven for Sonic. However, since he wants to come back to real life with his friends, he's traversing his memories to find a way to escape, similar to people seeing their life flash before their eyes. Because he has already died, his memories are partly intact, but not fully. This explains why the level design was copied from past games and the level aesthetics were similar but with a new twist. Sage is Kronos, he wants Sonic off of his island, and to do so he trapped his friends and scattered the keys across the islands, along with placing enemies/bosses to get in his way.
I think this too. Mind you, with Sonic Team saying that if this game doesn't do well, then they give up, makes you wonder if this actually is the last game.
This being the end of Sonic will actually be a great ending point. That is... Unless they do something with the other characters or they introduce Sonic's son and everyone else is aged up like 15 years or so.
Even if sonic died in frontiers SEGA would probably immediately go to twitter and say that frontiers story is non-canon so that they can keep milking the franchise.
I wonder... If he did die could he still be resurrected?I mean Elise brought him back but wasn't it because she was special? Don't know who else could do it, other than maybe Blaze Edit: by special I meant using the Emeralds to ressurect him, if felt like only she could do it
Ok, even though it's pretty obvious that Sonic isn't going to die or leave the series in any substantial way, but it could be possible for something to happen to Tails instead. If vandalize is written from Sonic's perspective then it could mean that one of Sonic's friends might leave him for some reason, whether it be death, betrayal, or something else, and who would be better to sell that emotion than the one who has been with Sonic from the start? Another thing is that Tails isn't the first OR second person you save, which seems odd, because Tails and Amy are the ones who came with Sonic to the Starfall Islands, Amy is the first you save, Knuckles is the second, which means that Tails will most likely be the last, and isn't that prime time to throw in a plot twist? The last piece of evidence I wanna present is that Frontiers seems to be the most tech heavy Sonic game which would link to Tails well even if is just symbolic rather than him being behind the whole thing.
Pretty sure the reason for the order in which you save them is because it's in descending order of character importance in the series. Amy on Kronos Island is first because she's usually the fourth character in the main four man band of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. Then Knuckles on Ares Island, because he was Sonic's first rival turned best friend, and was the last member of the golden trio of Sonic, Tails, & Knuckles. Then Tails on Chaos Island because he's Sonic's best/closest friend, debuting in the second ever game, and was here the longest besides the next character. Then, I theorize that the next island afterwards, (I think it's called Ouranos Island) you save Eggman, as from what we've seen in leaked cutscene footage from Gamescon, Eggman is also trapped in a Cyberspace level. As to why Eggman is last, he's technically the second character in the series we're introduced back in Sonic 1 (after Sonic himself obviously) and technically the first that Sonic meets, as well as the most important, as Eggman being the villain is what kicks off the Sonic series as we know it.
1:51 scroll to second paragraph, if you find it unnecesary, since the uncensored version is not related to frontiers its either "f**k the pain away my bed is in ruins" for the uncensored version, since its a version which isnt related to sonic, its talking about a love and heartbreak, and possibly some deeds that are definitely not family friendly, but since its not related to sonic frontiers, it has to be the censored version, which actually says "fight the pain away my head is in ruins". So it is a glimpse to the surprise that it is a parody
Even though this is a joke video Those lyrics in the songs & Sonic’s arm are making me think a hard “what if” Here’s what I think would go down if sonic “dying” happens in the game: Let’s start with the ending of frontiers. By the time you get to the final boss, which might be the Ai voice that has been guiding sonic the whole game. Sonic’s arm corruption gets really bad. Transforming him into “cyber-sonic”. You team up with Sage & defeat the Ai, but the cyber form corrupts sonic & takes away his consciousness. With the help Of Sage. Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big, and even Eggman are sent off the island back home with no sonic with them. Sonic now permanently in the cyber form Stays on the island with Sage to guard Starfall from any future threats. Where the Sonic franchise goes from here. Obviously it would be a big change to the franchise & wouldn’t be a good look to permanently kill off your mascot character just as the IP has been gaining popularity. So I believe a few things could happen if sonic is gone. 1- they bring him back immediately next game. Would make sense business wise. But from a story standpoint, it brings down the scale frontiers set out. Personally wouldn’t like this option 2-an Alternate Sonic takes his place going forward. Possibly a sonic that had a reverse situation on starfall where he listened to sage & left the islands, leaving his friends trapped there. Next game, this Sonic finds himself in the “Modern” dimension & stays there permanently. I think it would be interesting if the series went down this road, especially if the games will have an interconnected storyline and sonic having a character arc. 3- Classic sonic comes back. NOW HEAR ME OUT!! It’s not classic sonic as we’ve seen him. It’s a matured version that loosely resembles modern sonic (new design) who came back to the “modern” dimension after his own latest adventure (That rumored 2D sonic game coming next year?). This is mostly similar to option 2 but “New-Classic” would be a dimension hopper. Mainly residing in the 2D dimension but coming to the modern dimension when needed. this is an alternate sonic that can be freely used unlike movie, prime or IDW which sega already established that they’re their own things + possible rights issues. I think if said situation of sonic dying happened, Sega would probably do this.
TBH Sonic Frontiers is going to be a soft reboot, last year We got Sonic Colors Ultimate and when Sonic Colors first came out Sonic Generations followed up on Sonic Colors and Dr. Eggman discovers the Time Eater, teams up with Dr. Robotnik to undo their setbacks from Sonic 1 though Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations plays off of Sonic's memories (hell Jazwares leaked what levels are going to be in Sonic Generations with their 3.75 inch figures.) Sonic Frontiers' cyberspace stages have the same layouts as Sonic Generations and the lyrics "Leave the life You know before, see other world worth fighting for" and "I'm here reaching far across these new Frontiers" could indicate that Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone and Sky Sanctuary Zone could be in the past forever and this will be the last time We see these zones. For Me Sonic Frontiers is saying farewell to the past and Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Dr. Eggman will fight this endless fight with Sonic, His Friends and Enemies having memories of Sonic 1 though Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Sonic Lost World, Sonic Mania/Sonic Mania Plus and Sonic Forces will get retcon and will never happen.
When you said "Let's analyze some of the lyrics" i tought you were gonna show us the line "Fuck the pain away, My bed is in ruin" from the uncensored version
Not a stupid theory, but you have to reach. I happen to think the lyrics are synonymous with super speed. SONIC FRONTIERS DEFINITELY HAS A DIFFERENT TONE, but the death theory contradicts SEGA’s revitalization of the franchise. I see a new direction, whilst upholding that sense of familiarity
Imagine sonic turning into a corrupted form (like his corrupted arm but his entire body). And while he's in this form he's being controlled by the obviously very evil A.I but slowly he regains control. And eventually has too sacrifice himself too save the island and his friends.
I agree with this theory! To add onto it Frontiers means a border between two countries. Perhaps this could be a reference to Sonic being on the border of life and death.
Yeah I don't think sonic will straight up die, maybe as someone else pointed out SEGA might just pull a KH on us and lock him away within his mind or smth or MAYBE... Maybe the death is like a fakeout ending, and he's trapped in limbo or smth for a final story type deal for one last ride before the true and grandiose conclusion
Idea: Sonic canonically died in 06, but that timeline was erased in the end. However, it was revitalized in Generations, so it is now semi-in-the-timeline. Sega is gonna pulla Legend of Zelda style dead-Sonic timeline.
Ian Flynn’s obsession with loss and death in the comics is 110% making its way into the writing of Frontiers. Even if they wimp out for the sake of preserving the franchise, Sonic Team will no doubt address some sort of loss process. This video (and its evidences) have undone my previous bias that Sonic is in a simulation, racing through memories that are being manipulated by some new puppeteer as Sage attempts to free him from the simulation. Now it’s death, ultimately.
This theory was pretty realistic and believable until I realised sonic died in 06 so they probably didn’t want to associate with it Nothing else wrong with it Nothing at all
I think that the reason for cyberspace having new sections is a reference to what happens when you replay a video tape over and over again. Just something I thought about
Though... Wasn't Shadow supposed to die in SA2, odds are you may be right. But then he'll be back for unexplainable reason that Sega quickly fumbles together a story to explain why their very mascot has made a return... Or they're just gonna end with a The world entered a state of seemingly eternal peace despite Sonic's departure as Eggman retired and now were going to start over from the classic era games because we have classic Sonic that the fans seem to prefer over Modern Sonic according to monetary trend statistics.
The frontiers thing will just be either another sonic and chip or sonic and yacker or sonic and emerl, or sonic does die but he is brought back, the sadge ending theme, sonic unleashed “My dear friend” or “Dear my friend”
Its funny how we try making theories that sonic would die when we clearly forgotten that part where he DID die in 06 - to then be revived I know its a reboot therefore non canon, but the point stands that Sonic wont ever properly die whether we want it to happen or not, they'll always find a way to bring him back
To be honest, even with all this evidence. I really… REALLY hope this isn’t the outcome/ending for the game. Sure, the game is going to be a more mature story, but Sonic dying seems a little bit much. Plus, that’ll be really depressing for a Sonic game, at least Adventure 2’s story ended on a good note knowing that the heroes got back to Earth after stopping the Finalhazard Sonic doesn’t need depressing endings like these at times. That’s just me tho, feel free to disagree.

Maybe he doesn’t die, but just goes missing due to a Multiversal Anomaly caused by the events in Sonic Prime, like how Mania Sonic went to Forces, but with actual purpose.
This actually makes sense! But there is a chance of Sonic Frontiers being after Sonic Prime, because of his attitude in both the game and the series. In Sonic Prime he looks more Sonic like, in Frontiers he looks more serious but still a little bit Sonic. So maybe Sonic will pass to a change of personality in Sonic Prime. I'm not trying to change your point, I'm just saying what I believe.
7:07 As sonic frontiers is going to have a customisable sonic, A corrupt sonic cosmetic where random body parts glitch out like the timestamp would be a very nice and fitting cosmetic for the game. Please add it Sega.
Vandalize could be a bad ending credits song where sonic dies
The song is actually about a crazy toxic relationship....lol
meaning vandalize
Ngl, this video was so deadass serious and identical to those incredibly out there dark theories that the ending where you said "jk it's just a parody" actually surprised me, kinda thought sonic had burned through the rest of your remaining sanity lol.
This is such a great idea for the future of the series. The amount of possibilities is wild.
Some would say there are... "Endless Possibilities"...
@@speranzagaming1572 just about to say that lol
@@speranzagaming1572 🎶 This is my escape I'm running through this world and I'm not looking back
Cause I know I can go when no one's ever gone and I'm not looking back
But how will I know when I get there? And how will I know when to leave? We've all gotta start from somewhere it's right there for me! The possibilities are never ending 🎶
This wouldn't be the first time sonic has died.
I think it's less that Sonic is gonna die but more that Sage is a ghost who Sonic has to help pass on to the afterlife.
I think this too. Mind you, with Sonic Team saying that if this game doesn't do well, then they give up, makes you wonder if this actually is the last game.
@@AwesomeHyperSonic547 Where did they say that?
@@herrice3227 It was in a The Sonic Show video a while ago now. Originally I think it was on a online forum, can't remember which one exactly.
@@AwesomeHyperSonic547 I wouldn't pay any mind to it. Unless there's word from an official source or someone close to SEGA, just treat it as a rumour.
@@herrice3227 Agreed, so hopefully that stays a rumor, as Sonic dying permanently is really dark for a (mostly) family friendly franchise.
Tragic events in history. Sonic’s Death, he jumped out of a plane and forgot his parachute, he fucking died-
If he does, he'll come back.
This being the end of Sonic will actually be a great ending point. That is... Unless they do something with the other characters or they introduce Sonic's son and everyone else is aged up like 15 years or so.
...or Shadow/Amy/Tails could take Sonic's role.
1:59 This sounds like something Eggman would say, the kind of didn't know how much you enjoyed someone's company till they're gone kind of wording.
sonic is dead, can confirm, I killed him in a bar fight
Sonic:nothing can kill me
*insert garrulous64*
Garrulous64:are you sure about that
Even if sonic died in frontiers SEGA would probably immediately go to twitter and say that frontiers story is non-canon so that they can keep milking the franchise.
Oh wow that's really interesting!
Starfall islands. Star... Fall. The star of the franchise, falls
I don't think this will happen, at least not a permanent one.
I wonder... If he did die could he still be resurrected?I mean Elise brought him back but wasn't it because she was special?
Don't know who else could do it, other than maybe Blaze
Edit: by special I meant using the Emeralds to ressurect him, if felt like only she could do it
...Don't you dare bring Elise back....😠😠😠😠😠😠😠
@@ZayTheCrystalBoi I didn't meant that, was just wondering, she won't be in the game anyway. 06 never happened
1:51 scroll to second paragraph, if you find it unnecesary, since the uncensored version is not related to frontiers
its either "f**k the pain away
my bed is in ruins" for the uncensored version, since its a version which isnt related to sonic, its talking about a love and heartbreak, and possibly some deeds that are definitely not family friendly,
but since its not related to sonic frontiers, it has to be the censored version, which actually says "fight the pain away
my head is in ruins".
So it is a glimpse to the surprise that it is a parody
I can’t believe that you could make such convincing points! I sure was fooled!
if sonic died, he would die cause of seeing himself kissing elise in sonic 06.
Great video
Still waiting for the Sonic advance 3 review
Yeah because killing your main character in a game that's supposed to revive the franchise is such a great idea
and song lyrics are probably about this weird anime chibi girl that follows you. She also seems to be some kind of spirit so that fits
Ok, i dont think Sonic himself is dying, but i do believe SOMEONE will die!
Could it be one of Sonic's friends? Sage?
Even though this is a joke video
Those lyrics in the songs & Sonic’s arm are making me think a hard “what if”
Here’s what I think would go down if sonic “dying” happens in the game:
Let’s start with the ending of frontiers.
With the help
Of Sage. Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Big, and even Eggman are sent off the island back home with no sonic with them.
Sonic now permanently in the cyber form
Stays on the island with Sage to guard Starfall from any future threats.
Personally wouldn’t like this option
2-an Alternate Sonic takes his place going forward.
It’s a matured version that loosely resembles modern sonic (new design) who came back to the “modern” dimension after his own latest adventure
(That rumored 2D sonic game coming next year?).
Robotnik to undo their setbacks from Sonic 1 though Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations plays off of Sonic's memories (hell Jazwares leaked what levels are going to be in Sonic Generations with their 3.75 inch figures.)
Sonic Frontiers' cyberspace stages have the same layouts as Sonic Generations and the lyrics "Leave the life You know before, see other world worth fighting for" and "I'm here reaching far across these new Frontiers" could indicate that Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone and Sky Sanctuary Zone could be in the past forever and this will be the last time We see these zones.
Or perhaps I might come back and may say, “Bang goes that theory, you are wrong.”
But we simply have to wait and see.
So they are going to sonic '06 this again? I mean the killing part not the bad part. I wish I don't jinx it.
Oh wow that's actually interesting!
Exactly this is a huge reach
Honestly, I think this could realistically happen, great theory :)
I have my doubts cause there is still a whole lot we still don't know yet so it's still open for interpretation
Even if this isn't what happened, I think this is a really interesting take on the Sonic Frontiers concept.
Loved it when Sonic keeps on telling me to keep expectations low
why was he kinda right
i can't believe they killed off multi-media franchise mascot sonic the hedgehog
The censored one is fight the pain away my head is in ruins while the uncensored one is fuck the pain away my bed is is ruins.
"oh yeah, it's all coming together"
Really well written theory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sonic 06 traumatic nightmares *intensifies*
Well, it wouldn't be the first time he's died lol
Imagine sonic turning into a corrupted form (like his corrupted arm but his entire body). And while he's in this form he's being controlled by the obviously very evil A.I but slowly he regains control. And eventually has too sacrifice himself too save the island and his friends.
I agree with this theory!
To add onto it Frontiers means a border between two countries. Perhaps this could be a reference to Sonic being on the border of life and death.
That's the spirit!
I'm still gonna say it's amy who dies
I think tails knuckles and amy well die
When he started saying the lyrics i just broke our singing
God i have an issue
This all makes so much sense i believe you just solved all of the lore in the sonic series
Hey! While This can’t be close to what actually happens. This is a Fun Theory! I enjoyed this! Good Job on the Video! ✨
Vandalize is in the perspective of Sonic’s friends but I’m here is in the perspective of Sonic himself.
Idea: Sonic canonically died in 06, but that timeline was erased in the end. However, it was revitalized in Generations, so it is now semi-in-the-timeline.
Sega is gonna pulla Legend of Zelda style dead-Sonic timeline.
hey hey no no no no nO NO NO NO
lol this wasn’t true in the end
Would be interesting tho
Wow... I never thought of this like that Sonic will die. (R.I.P Sonic 1991-2022)
Now it’s death, ultimately.
someone explain this to me because wouldnt this just kill the series
This theory was pretty realistic and believable until I realised sonic died in 06 so they probably didn’t want to associate with it
Nothing else wrong with it
Nothing at all
"THIS IS STUPID or HE'S NOT GOING TO DIE"
This honestly sounds true. (Also i dont look at the leaks so yeah)
I think that the reason for cyberspace having new sections is a reference to what happens when you replay a video tape over and over again. Just something I thought about
soooo truueeeee garrulous!!!! i’ve been saying this the entire time and nobody has believed me!!!!
You need more attention, this was such a good theory!
This would be amazing
Btw I play this game and sonic dies because he is corrupted but then his friends bring him back and go back into cyberspace and Sage turns good
But hey it’s just a theory a GAME THEORY
Technicaly he is in a coma, trapped in his memories nothing is real so far.
Its funny how we try making theories that sonic would die when we clearly forgotten that part where he DID die in 06 - to then be revived
I know its a reboot therefore non canon, but the point stands that Sonic wont ever properly die whether we want it to happen or not, they'll always find a way to bring him back
dude i came into the video thinking i was gonna hate it but u present some like, real good points bro
The Sonic version says "my head is in ruins."
I cant see sonic remaining alive after the events of this game.
This theory makes a lot of sense.
I don't think Sega's mandates on the series would allow their main character to die though.
So you think sonic dies after he obtained final super form
To be honest, even with all this evidence. I really… REALLY hope this isn’t the outcome/ending for the game. Sure, the game is going to be a more mature story, but Sonic dying seems a little bit much. Plus, that’ll be really depressing for a Sonic game, at least Adventure 2’s story ended on a good note knowing that the heroes got back to Earth after stopping the Finalhazard
Sonic doesn’t need depressing endings like these at times. That’s just me tho, feel free to disagree.
I completely agree. Seems a bit dramatic for SEGA and Sonic Team to do considering that the movies are doing well.
