    We also grow and use loofah sponge here in Brazil. However, we let them dry, cut them in half and hit them against a hard surface to remove the seeds. It's the best sponge ever.

    It's a loofa People grow them and sell them .The seeds can be replanted each year some places it's big business. We usually wait until it's very dry when the seeds are loose and you can rehydrate in water so it can expand..

    Usually buy these in the market but had no clue this is the way they are made. They are very rough and does a good job scrubbing the heels of foot 🦶.

      Hi lady why are subjecting to all these hectic , why don’t you wait until it dry for easy pilling and removing seeds. For us in Africa we are not eating loofahs Asians are eating .

      yes I remember that but I just don't remember what it's called in TRINIDAD, we waited until it was dry and the seeds came out easier, when you soak it in a little bit of bleach in water it comes out white, that is how they sell them commercially.

    Loofah 😊 wat a natural way of making it...I had seen making such scrub out of coconut coirs but never seen this making out of gourd 🤔 very nice content pleasure watching it 👍

    Interesting. Is there a difference when you peel and let it dry without cutting and removing the seeds. I remember growing up my granny would have them dried whole (not sure how the seeds then got out) but maybe that is an alternative you can try. My gran is no more so i can't ask how they did it

    We call the vegetable jhinga. And when it grows old and fibrous we dry it and use it as a bathing sponge and call it chobra.
