There's something at play with my McLaren 675LT Spider's battery, so we're joined by Steve from V Engineering to get to the bottom of it. Not only that, but there's a car you won't be expecting to visit today.
The office build is making amazing progress, the lighting is now in and functional with plenty more to follow. While the team from Novus are cracking on with that, we've also got some cars to take for service; both the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and GTC4Lusso before returning to check out a luxury limo that's with us temporarily.
The Audi S8 offers an amazing mix of performance, comfort and tech, so let's explore it in detail while @Shmee150 is off running another errand, something we'll need to come back to soon as it hasn't entirely gone to plan.

The Shmuseum Great Video I'm glad Tim's 675LT Spiders Battery was fixed thanks to Steve from V engineering and I'm also glad Tim's Absolutely Gorgeous Zenvo TSR-S was cleaned up
I bet its rare that you have to use CarVertical though, as most the cars were bought new or you already knew the history of them 👍
I genuinely love seeing more of Tim. Shmee is great but i prefer the more calm, relaxed environment to Shmuseum
Totally agree - I don’t know how he makes so much content on main channel but I find it hard to keep up with, but love the calmness on here!

My favourite car in the shmeseum… 675
Hey Tim, I had the same issue with my 675LT. The car was not driven for a few weeks and the battery level dropped low even though it was on the charger. My issue was that the C-tek charger needed to be reset. Once I hit the reset button it started charging the car without issue. I also had a charging issue when the car IRIS display did not turn off after turning off the car, this then ran the battery dangerously low after a few days on the charger. After hard resetting the IRIS system things were back to normal. Cheers!

I had this exact same problem with the battery on my 570Gt. And Steve helped me fix mine too!

Regarding the SF90 and the PPF on the roof...(you may have already tried this, and I missed it...) have you tried applying heat to the PPF roof area? I thought that PPF would reshape/heal itself when heat is applied to the area. Just a thought. And thanks for the great content on the Shmuseum channel!

You guys definitely need a trailer for moving large objects, then a closed trailer for transporting cars that might not be able to be driven on the road/other large objects adding.
I really like the behind the scenes aspect of this channel. The 675LT issues are standard fare for older performance or super cars that don’t move much.
You should consider investing in a diagnostic tool for the garage, it will help give you an indication of an issue before you need to take it to someone. An iCarsoft or Autel unit can do multiple cars including Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. they are not crazy expensive in the grand scheme of things.
We already have a Thinkcar diagnostic tool! :)

The LT is a wonderfull machine but the zenvo is just an incredible piece of art and technologie.

Never seen so much dust on your cars before. Haven’t the guys doing the work heard of dustless sanding? It’s going to be like fog in there when they sand that filler on the walls if they don’t. I know they have no idea how to paint but surely they should be on top of the dust levels with that fleet of cars in there.

At my old job, we had some Lenovo laptops that needed a firmware upgrade for the battery as they were “failing” after 12 months. Only brand I have had to do that for.

The LT is my favourite mclaren in the collection sucha stunning car & colour if i where to ever be able to buy a car its be the LT Or Ferrari 458

Do you know which type of lithium ion battery it is? Is it LiFePo4? At least BMW LiFePo4 (used in F80 and F82) batteries require special program from CTEK. Maybe it is the case with McLaren as well to keep them check. If I recall right the battery internal overvoltage protection kicks in with LiFePo4 when you charge it with the traditional Lead Acid / AGM battery charging mode.

Surprised Tim, because of your OCD you haven't put any hooks up on the wall behind the cars to hang the charger plugs and cords, lol. The space is coming along great bud.
OCD? The garage is usually a mess and the cars are more often than not, not that clean.
@@docpj9665 Tim definitely has OCD for sure not that that's not a bad thing at all, I understand the mess, but there are all types of OCD focused personalities. He is very detailed orientated and that is how he can produce so many different videos in so many places. He calculates everything, oh and checked the roof rack suction a lot, lol.
@@IDv8I I have it, as a diagnose. I don't see it at all. I'm not manic or excessively compulsive. Being busy and detail oriented is not OCD, not even close.
@@docpj9665 My doctor said there are different levels of OCD, mine is more ADD than OCD lol, and I didn't mean to belittle anyone else's diagnosis. I think if you ask Tim he will say he is on the spectrum....again it is not always a bad thing for some peoples lives. I feel bad for the people who are literally crippled by it.

I'd always thought you'd switch to 765lt spider in the same spec as the 675lt when they launched
I believe Tim once said something like he already has a senna so there isn't much of a need for a 765, and the 675 just sounds better as well
I think he's done with McLaren. I don't think either part has very much of an interest in one another. I think he's also done stomaching the McLaren depreciation game.

i really like watching this since Years but one thing i don’t like is , the Cars they are not Tim bought the Guest Cars , yea the Cars are cool and special etc. but i thing they need to have an other parking space ,maybe on the other side from the Museum, behind the Wall were are the TVR is parking

The start up sound of the Zenvo just doesn’t match the other exotic or hyper cars.
Not sure I'd agree. Have you ever heard a Chiron start? Sounds like a diesel truck, and not very loud. Zenvo offers a few variants on the exhaust, and all of them are in fact pretty loud all things considered. That said, if one want to drive their Zenvo, it needs to be one of the more subdued versions. If not, the cabin noise will be insane.

Valid question. Although they do have a system where the cars won‘t sit for any longer than the Zenvo did, so I don‘t know if it‘s actually a potential issue.
@@ArKritz84 It is not. Not only do they try to rotate the cars, they also shuffle them about quite a bit. I have cars sitting for 4-6 months sometimes, and zero issues with flatspotting. It was a bigger deal on the older Pirelli PZero, but not on the PZ4. If the car is on MPS4S or MPSC2, it's even less of an issue.
Rain not snow, may be coming down looking white but if it melts as soon as it hits the ground I wouldn’t even call it snow.

I can only imagine the problems that the McLaren is going to have with it not being driven regularly. I’m guessing it’s going to be a nightmare in the future because McLaren definitely cannot build a car that doesn’t need ridiculous maintenance costs and issues 😢😢😢😢
