Super useful video, I have to change the inner battery of my 7 years old LEGRIA GX10, is the internal battery the disk with the violet border I see at 15:50? Is it possible to replace?
Surprisingly I have had no issues with overheating. I do a lot of filming of marching band and even in the summer heat it's been a champ. And yes, even when new, when powered off there is a slight lens rattle that is normal 🤷♂️ - not to be confused with the rattle that is the subject of this video 🤣
@@DavidWaltermyer It's so good to hear. I had one GX10 and fall in love with it (it cost me $1000 USD :D). Great image quality at 1080 and 4k, 60fps at 4k, ND filters
Great Video! Very helpful. I have three of these cameras with the exact issue. Would you mind sharing the brand of your tool set? Especially the flat tweezers you used to pull on the ribbon cables? Thanks in advance.

@@Trout90 yes that is the internal battery. It's soldered to that small board, so you either need soldering skills or to replace that board
Thank you. I love this model GX10/XF400 but they have a lot of issues like overheating AND the rattle sounds
