Thornhill - Coven Gear: ESP Eii Tb7 D'Addario 11-74 Strings Neural DSP - Fortin Nameless Suite Focusrite Scarlett IPhone 12 Pro Max Drop F# Tuning on a 7 String Guitar F# C# F# B E G# C#
This and Reptile were the songs that actually got me into Thornhill! Sick cover, man! Honestly, this one looks fairly difficult to play so props for that 🤘
i have the white one and the black one, dont regret either purchase at all. amazing instruments. your tone is perfect for thornhill and northlane. love to see it
Do you give yourself any slack on the 74 when you lock it? I see you have it cranked about a quarter way around and you sound well intonated. I'm thinking I don't give myself enough because when I try to intonate, I am tuning down to compensate for the bridge and I end up with the peg barely turned. Your tone is sick and the playing is clean af, btw.
Thanks for the compliments dude really appreciate it! A lot of my tone is though hitting the strings harder and softer to get certain notes to bite. Pretty much the only reason I have the string wrapped is because I didn't get the tuner drilled out like my other guitars when I got it so I pull the string through till it hits the taper then I clamp it and wrap it slightly to make it work, I'll sort it out properly one day! Having slightly more string wrapped on locking tuners helps when fine tuning I find
Awesome cover man, that guitar is dope. I have a question I want to become more advanced in playing, do you have an idea of topics I could learn and how to go about it?
I got taught guitar when i was younger and was told to learn pentatonic scales and all the chords (open chords, power chords, bar chords etc), its very helpfully as all these shapes are used in different ways the more complicated the songs you want to learn are. I started learning basic rock and blues songs and worked my way up to more techy heavy stuff, takes a long time but worth learning everything in between as you will learn all the needed techniques to play the more complicated stuff. Hope that helps
Its killer, thank you! Yeah I filed the nut, im using a d addario NYXL 74 so it tapers before the tuner, however i've just gone up to a 75/76 now so i do need to get the tuner drilled out like my other guitars!
Didn't work out the box, comes with something light like a 60g, took it straight to a tech who did the tuner and nut for me. None of my extended range guitars come with tuners ready for heavy gauges, always surprises me
I need this guitar! Im about to start learning how to play guitar and most of the songs and music styles I want to learn is on a 7 string baritone.. should I start with a 6 string first or should I go straight to 7 string? I’d like your opinion
Defo start with 6 in standard tuning! Really important to learn all your open chords and basic theory before diving into the heavy stuff, it helps in the long run!
I bought the guitar with intention of swapping for bare knuckles or lundgrens, however i was blown away with how good they sound in this guitar. Changed my perspective of EMG’s, the guitar is very heavy so im wondering if that in combination with the pickups is making the tone sound killer. Going to keep them as is👌🏻
@@666nevermore I have an ESP AW7B which is 26.5 scale length and I use a 72 for drop G, I think if you go for 74,75,76 for drop F# with the 26.5 scale that will work great but might have to experiment. Start with the 74 and see how you go
You single handedly made me want to buy this guitar. It sounds and looks so good
Same lol
@@ColbyKiser my only suggestion would be to get it with an evertune bride. they're a must have.
Thanks so much Joe! Its my fav guitar, plays so well!
@@frankjager1647 I've tried evertune bridges and they're not for me unfortunately! I'm sure you could get one fitted into this guitar though
Nailed! The tone is sick!

This sounds so fat mate such a banging cover keep smashing it🤜🏼
Your tone is literally perfect. What kind of eq pass did you put through it?
Thanks a lot! I literally have no clue about eq or anything, I just run the Nameless plug in into Logic haha

Fuck yes... I watch this video every day man. Masterpiece cover. I like your guitar and your tattoo:D What about Reptile cover? :()
Thank you so much dude really means a lot! Guitars and tats are everything to me haha, yes reptiles a banger I'll do that one soon
I have the same guitar, did you have to file the nut or change anything to fit the 0.74 gauge? Also sick cover mate!
Its killer, thank you! Yeah I filed the nut, im using a d addario NYXL 74 so it tapers before the tuner, however i've just gone up to a 75/76 now so i do need to get the tuner drilled out like my other guitars!
I’m all bent up
I love 7 string tele. Is that baritone?? What string gauge did you use ?
Did You need to mod Your guitar to accommodate 11-74 strings gauge (ex. filing the nut or tinkering with the pegs) or does it fit out of the box?
Didn't work out the box, comes with something light like a 60g, took it straight to a tech who did the tuner and nut for me. None of my extended range guitars come with tuners ready for heavy gauges, always surprises me
Sick cover man!
What size KRK's are those?
Thanks dude! Rokit 5’s, do the job and sounds great for home playing/recording 🤘🏻

Well done dude! What string gauges are you rocking?
Thanks dude! I was using a pack of d’addario 11-56 with an added 74, but now i’ve moved to a 76 for a little more tension 🤘🏻
Which plugin or amp do you using? Amazing playing man love it
Thanks a lot dude! Im using the Neural Dsp Nameless suite 👌🏻⚡️
@@matthrsy I'm using that too may I ask you if you can send your preset on my email if you have time😁: mazurtomas7@gmail.com
Sick cover! What strong gauges do you use?
Thanks man! I use d addario 11-56 with a 75 gauge for the 7
How u like EMG there? Are U thinking about replacing them?

So sick! What tabs did you use?
Thanks! Mostly by ear and some parts watching other people play the song
hi bro, amazing cover!!!! could you send me the tone preset please?
hello tu accorder comment merci c est cool se que tu fait
Corto de viola el pana
Dude, is it glossy or matte? Does it get dirty a lot?
I have one too. Satin and smooth AF. no gloss
How do I learn this? I can’t find any tabs and I suck at learning by watching lmao
gj man, can u send the backing track link?
Thanks dude! I just searched Thornhill Coven Instrumental and used a converter website 🤫😂
How do you get that tone please :o
Fortin Nameless Suite by Neural DSP!
I find no D’addario 11-74 (?)
I used the 6 string 11-56 pack, then add a single 74g on top. Its expensive but worth it for me!
@@matthrsy love it ty. U feel like 74 is the ideal tension on that low tune? I struggle staying in tune but my guitar is 26.5”
