Yeah when I was a kid this was the album of ever. The disappointment when Josh left hit us hard. This we heard the first Chariot EP and realized all is well.
@@AFLJohnCiTo66 check out "The Chariot" and their album "Long Live". The Chariot is the original singer of Norma Jean. And check out "Luti Kriss" too. It was norma jean before they changed their name to norma jean
@@JustTheTip556 yes...I know... I remember before 2001 luti kriss, and later on 2003 - 2004 the chariot.. very good... but since norma jean changed the vocalist nothing was the same.. JOSH SCOGIN was the essence of that band in a few words.. :) that's why I said they should change the name.. dont have any original members´.. since 2003 they suck :)
Great cover as a whole. That was epic as hell! I think the drums were missing something. Maybe it's emphasis. Either way, EVERY SINGLE one of you did amazing. Props guys and gal!
Your drummer didnt know that song well enough to do it justice. Bummer bc everything sounds so great but he really took out all the nuances of davids drumming on that song. Just one musicians opinion.
The original drum track is banging but this guy is also a great drummer. Kinda refreshing hearing a metal band not so dependant on the drummer bollocking out repetitive double bass beats. Great band, great cover.
Nice job! Although, IMO this is a great example of how downtuning DOESN'T equal heavier. This song was SOOOOO much heavier in C#, or maybe that's just high school telling me so. Either way, quite enjoyable, thanks!
Is it just me or did it seem on some parts they were too fast and other times....too slow? I literally just came from watching the original song and could definitely tell the difference.
It's cool. My only thought is the drummer looks and sounds like he's not hitting hard enough, he should be so tired after this that he cant play anymore
Ughhhh. Get a new drummer. That was an awful drum cover. If anyone dares to cover ANY song on this album, be absolutely sure that you have a great drummer.
Im glad after all of these years they are finally getting more recognition. I wish The Chariot had gotten more press too.
Norma jean? They were huge in 06-07.
vengefall and they're still recording and touring to this day.
Long live my friend
High school me is in heaven right now. Check out their Deftones Elite cover for another amazing throwback cover

Pretty damn good cover! Unfortunately, no one can cover old school Aaron Weiss.
Norma Jean's first album is sick. I still listen to it every week
Everyday I listen to that album, its a fucking masterpiece
is the best album... the others are shit.. they should change their name

@@AFLJohnCiTo66 I agree. His vocals fit better
even got the throat clear in.
A little early but glad it was noticed lol
It’s pretty crazy that in 4 days this album was released 20 years ago on August 13th 2002!!
Good to see kids keeping this stuff alive. I got a feeling they were all on the teet when this came out originally
Sick!!!
JOSH SCOGIN FOR EVER.
Great cover as a whole. That was epic as hell! I think the drums were missing something. Maybe it's emphasis. Either way, EVERY SINGLE one of you did amazing. Props guys and gal!
Completely underrated band! ❤️
enjoying a damn fine cup of coffee to this damn good cover!
Cup of John Coffey?
This is sick, as expected
damn Lady, you fucking slayed those guttural screams, love that you threw the 'Ahem...' in too
Simply amazing...what a nice single people...Congrats for you all
Decent cover. Just found their original music yesterday and their albums are sweet!
The cover is ten times better than the original
from the 4th minute the songs turn to an epic story. Very Very cool
OH my god, this is perfect! best metal!!!
Thank all of you and God Bless you.
Utterly brilliant. LOVE ETS xxx
Love it!!!
😳 wow... that was intense
Man, this is a really good cover! I did miss Aaron Weiss from mwY at the end though, no one like him. Good job y’all!
🤘👏🤘👏🤘👏 best of
Awesome cover!
This was a great find. Incredible!!
Utterly incredible.
Heavy, slow, full of breakdowns. Beautiful.
Monstrous!
Insane!
I dig it folks.
Could you guys put this album on Spotify? If you do could you let me know? :)
Norma Jean has always been my favorite band and let me tell u....HOLY SHIT
Great job!
Your drummer didnt know that song well enough to do it justice. Bummer bc everything sounds so great but he really took out all the nuances of davids drumming on that song. Just one musicians opinion.
Daniel*
Hard disagree, he knows the song he's just making it his own, it is a cover ya know.

@@stretchnuts1982 true that. anything over 200/210bpm on the feet is just wanky imo. single stomps for days!
Agreed!!! The drumming is the best part (besides Josh Scogin) of this entire album.
Solid cover, enjoyed it.
Yo, is this at Pendlewood in Ohio? Props if it is, good studio, nice people.
Thank you
Why would you scream Aaron's spoken word part? Killed the vibe.
I think this band is brilliant
U know i have always said that these guys remind me of Norma Jean. And here u go they r covering them! Shit is dope! 🏃🔫👻💀🎶🎵🎼🎸
wow
Underrated
amazing to have a woman singing this
Fuck that welcome to fucking real heart.. Nice job
i shoul listen to this band more often.
F awesome hell yeah
2:36 is the heaviest bit.
Holy frick that is good.
Double kicks?
non existent :/

This fuccin rocks and that chic is AWESOME!!!!!!
Bro. This album has been low key INFLUENTIAL AS FUCK.
Usually I'm not a fan of female vocals in the hardcore scene cuz they always lack something, this girl KILLS it though!
we walked on glass all night long
That's fuckin Brutal! Justine pwns hard!! :)
She is fucking dope as fuck
bad ass
Why am I just now seeing this?
Holy Fuck knuckles.
Is it just me or did it seem on some parts they were too fast and other times....too slow? I literally just came from watching the original song and could definitely tell the difference.
Agreed and the drums are a tad off in the "murder" part. Great cover, but the drums are what make the song IMO.
@@dgates6165 Agreed.
Seems like in the original they didn’t use a metronome to keep time
@@breadtilian You may be correct in that regard.
Haste Hellfest 2019!!!!
what's wrong with drum part? why you did it so wrong?
D A M N
\mm/
This was good. But tbh I can cover the whole song's vocals better, just by myself. Been doing it for almost 20 years now.
im from memphis. norma jean came here and DIDNT EVEN FUCKING PLAY IT
It's cool. My only thought is the drummer looks and sounds like he's not hitting hard enough, he should be so tired after this that he cant play anymore
Meh.. The timing never changes and is too slow anyway
I love Employed To Serve. but, that was pretty bad.
Meh
i saw this and wanted it to be SO awesome but.... its just not
This is weak at best
the only thing good is the female vocalist..
the truth sounds horrible this cover.. sorry.. don´t like.. but the original song i love it
Ughhhh. Get a new drummer. That was an awful drum cover.
