Really a useful way to get some fast ideas to go on, thank you!
That LFO trick is super handy. Love your videos, and excited to hear the new pack!
Brilliant, again. Great video to start the new year and go back to work tomorrow. Keep the tutorials coming this year!
Wow! Really useful to get some ideas flying ✌ Is there a hack to make the bassline change/follow a chord progression, than just set the root note? Thanks for this channel - I just found yoou!
Brilliant. Very helpful. and a new pack on the way.? that`s great news. Thank you
Cheers Denis! Yes. I've taken some days off to focus on creating one :)
amazing news @@lotustunesacademy

Quality videos man!
Sick. I love it. Thanx!
Glad you like it!
Thats cool, I like your channel. THX you
You're welcome! :)
Hi Kevin. Thanks for the new interesting technique. 🤗
You're welcome :)
Do you have a video that follows this into creating a chord progression?
This is why I don't use arpeggiators or sequencers. Everything ends up chromatic unless i tune to a specific scale, and at that point I might as well just come up with the sequence in midi.
As a hungarian, thanks for the shoutout. Lol :)
Haha cheers mate :D
Love your videos and packs!
Amazing work
please consider some progressive house too :)
lol now you spread the word... been using sting for years. first version came out with time & timber in the pack store years ago
Yeah that time & timbre one looks great. It's the paid version of Skinnerbox's Sting.
is there a sting version for ableton 12?
havent been able to find one yet
👍
nice tool and very efficient tuto in less than 10min, thanks. What are the main differences between STING Iftah and STING Skinnerbox ?
its an updated version with more options and clip export
The 2022 version has a few more functions like the Clip function as mentioned in the video. Both work absolutely fine though and are made by the same group / creators as far as I know ;)
Great video once again! I'm struggling to figure out how to correctly instal the Sting plugin. Can you please share info on how to do that? Thank you! :)
For Mac*
Simply drag and drop the .amxd file into Ableton Live ;)
I had to upgrade to Ableton Live Suite... 🤣@@lotustunesacademy
Hi Kevin - love the track at the end of the video (so do I the tut itself, for sure ^^)... ist that yooooou?
Cheers, Basti
Cheers Basti! :) Yes, that's my voice.
Thumbs up, @@lotustunesacademy. Is there a full version? And where can i get it from? Would be a pleasure playing it on several occasions...
@@du_und_musik Not yet ;), but it's part of the demos of an upcoming organic house pack: lotustunes.com/organic-house-essentials-starter-pack/
If you hit clip before the midi devices - will it then save the original pattern, or the pattern effected by your midi devices? :)
It'll save only the pattern that Sting has generated. This does not take all other MIDI devices into account ;)
Hello mate, how did you swap between the octaves so quickly on the pitch device?
Shift & Arrow Up :)
@lotustunesacademy great! Cheers for the reply !
love this channel! how do i get inside of discord community? the link doesnt take me inside.
discord.gg/rYyf63tD try this?
easy
Moves Like Stimming
I have been vibing to Stimming so much recently!
ifta is 1/2 of skinnerbox
know of a mx4live device that simply creates a midi clip, based on the effects chain? ... after the sting, pitch, and scale? when you hit clip in scale, it doesnt include the midi information afterward. so when you muted out the pitch and scale, it unapplied it. for me, rather have my pitch and scale information included into the midi clip itself.
Yes you record the midi output with a separate midi channel. So create a new midi track then set the midi from in the channel strip to the track with sting and scale etc on it, then hit the record enable button at bottom of the new midi channel. Hit record in one of the track lanes on the new midi track and see it record all the data from the channel with sting on it
Oh but if you want a separate m4l device that does all this for you to save time then I too would like to know 😅
Good question. I don't know of any particular M4L device that does that. Most of that is done by resampling the MIDI, honestly.
Another really fast easy cool way to write basslines: write a bassline. 😂
😂
Pick up a bass guitar, it's just easier!
