Documentary film “Masakage Style” conveys the style and experience of Masaki Masakage to the next generation of anglers, a legend in the wild trout fishing world who was known as the "demon of plugging."
Masakage has completed the hybrid lure "Onimasu Masakage 110F Kiryu" and is starting to make his next lure. He went after trophy-class Brown Trout in the freezing cold of Lake Shikotsu, where everything is frozen.

昨年からヒラメ釣を始めビーチウォーカーで大変お世話になっております。
私は20代の頃、何年も支笏湖に通いつめました。が、本当にビッグトラウトとに出会うことはありませんでした。
しばらく釣をしない時期が数年あり、過去に使ったサケ竿とサケ用スプーン45ｇを持って支笏湖にドライブに行きました。当時はデタラメな釣をしていました。
あれは確か5月だったと思います。母の墓参りをすませたあとのドライブだと記憶しています。
場所はオコタンペのキャンプ場。今はそこまでの道が封鎖されていると思います。タコベを着けた45ｇのスプーンを大遠投し、糸ふけがでるまで沈めました。何度も。
そのとき初めて70オーバーのブラウンを釣りました。支笏湖は平野部より気温が低いこともあり、その時期は虫がいないためか、
大型魚は小魚だけを捕食していたのだと思います。あんなに通った支笏湖なのに、気まぐれで行ったときに釣れるなんて分からないものですね。
私は支笏湖ならオコタンペだと決めています。トンネル下でもなく、美笛でもないです。小さな川の流れ込みが魚のエサを常に流し込んでくれるので
魚も濃く、そして水深が程よく深いです。フナやトゲウオなどバリエーションに富んだ魚が集まる場所です。
