  • The Subbuteo Training Kits are classic. Well, after lots of small independents have 3D printed there own, Subbuteo has finally released there own. Is it any good tho?

It isn't too bad, although to me they're putting the cart before the horse. Focus on getting the basics right, I think a training set is advanced when they could be doing better with goals, balls and teams. But, hats off to them for producing a new product.

It’s nice to see any new subbuteo products but, like you, I’d rather see teams, goals, etc.

      Teams should be the focus

Omg: I had that in 1969 - not the goalkeeper trainer - but we had similar irregular shaped boats and bouncy nets for real cricket slip catching practice (I was very good). BUT... 1960s figures were heavier and you really could do all the spins in the instruction set so the dribbling was a thing to do. Sold my set age 16. Bought in 1990s for my son - figures lighter, don't spin, boring

Have you thought about buying the sold stuff back and playing again?

Looks like someone’s been sitting on the ball :) great set. I had the old set, remember the wall well

Yes! That’s, the fat kid at school would always ruin a ball sitting on it

They sell a half size training pitch at Subbuteoworld. Table Football Monthly (TFM) helped arrange that, along with Subbuteoworld. Identical to the old one, but made with better material, Pegasus Astroturf. Currently sells for 30 pounds. TFM has a couple of videos on UA-cam with instructions on various drills to use with the training pitch...good fun. Cheers, Malcolm

But then TFM ran off to hide behind Patereon wall and charge people to view it

@@SubbuteoCollector I agree! Ever since TFM moved to Patreon and we have to pay to watch their content, I stopped watching TFM, shame on you TFM !!!

The TFM training pitch edition is available for free on UA-cam and is not behind a paywall. A great show and pitch. Keith Littler is a top man.
