    How can I turn the last geometry into a smooth continuous surface?

      You can make points from curves, then “Mesh from Points” in Rhino.

      Hi, do you mean the metaball shape as negative void? Yes it is possible too.

      @@martaorszt1923 you can place contour lines on outer box and get each level of trimmed surface.
      Another possibility is making volume mesh of metaball and get Boolean difference out of it.
      To create mesh volume this example might be helpful.
