I use one of these on a clearstream 2 antenna. My antenna is outside on side of house, the coax is running through the attic to basement, probably about 35 ft. I mounted this splitter in the basement then split the two tvs from there. i must say it works great. Didnt need to mount the splitter in attic. Im getting strong signals on all channels.
Excellent camera work showing what the Channel Master 3412 amp looks like and what it can do. I also receive the pittsburgh stations like you.I have a UHF/VHF antenna of my roof and receive all the Pittsburgh stations even WQED since the repack.I also receive WJAC from Johnstown and WTOV from Stubenville Ohio.Use to receive WFMJ from Youngstown, but since repack cant receive.Thinking I will now try this CM-3412 amp!
This amp did help some, especially with running a 2nd TV off of the same antenna but the best results I've gotten were from upgrading my antenna to a Clearstream Max-V. It does have a VHF element but it's too small to pick up much. I rarely can get the CW and PBS never even shows up in a channel scan but I think most if not all of the PBS content can be found on their website. I also added a SiliconDust LTE filter before the amp which I think helped with occasional picture breakup I'd get from multipath interference.
I thought of getting a CM-3412 but it needs to be as close to the antenna as possible so it can amplify the signals down to the TV. (thinking of replacing a 5 year old RCA preamp) That would require me putting another coax cable up to the attic for the power inserter. If you place the amplifier near the TV you are trying to amplify signals that have loses all the way down the coax.
Truth and Quality. Practical and Useful Information. Thanks for saying , amplified splitter , Many any Humans say , powered splitter , powered splitter is not correct. A amplified splitter is also known as a , distribution amplifier. In a world where every little bit of misinformation gets built up on , the truth is important.
Hola la diferencia d este splitter amplificador del otro normal divisor es que no tiene pérdidas al dividir las señales mientras que el no amplificador si se pierde señal entre 3 y 7 decibelios.
The unboxing and overview was okay but never saw the actual set up. Nothing said to identify what each of the connected cables went to or came from. Which was the power, the antenna or which to went to the televisions.
NOT ONCE did you explain where the DC power goes in, where the antenna connects to and where the output is! Do a tutorial, do a tutorial that is useful and this wasn't useful, at all ! Waste of time.

Ordered the exact same powered splitter for my outdoor antenna! Hoping it helps, thanks for making this video!
How did it work out for you? I'm assuming this is a powered splitter.
@@michaelslabolepszy4736 Unfortunately it didn't help, I sent it back.

Thanks for the video! I bought this one new from channel master but no power coax 😞
You should be able to use any regular coaxial cable but ideally a 6ft or less would probably be the best.
Need to rescan your tvs.

All of the inputs and outputs are clearly defined on the splitter and should be self explanatory.
