Maxing Out Weapon Upgrades So Bosses Are Painfully Easy in Atomicrops

- By investing in the future I manage to make so much money that by the time I fight the bosses I can buy all the weapon upgrades. This gives me so much damage that I don't even have to try. Normally these would be very difficult encounters. I definitely got lucky with powerups, as I was able to harvest weeds quickly and for profit which meant I could just use those for lots of money. When I did venture out beyond my farm I would have upgraded weapons so I could explore much faster and take all the loot. Too bad I ran out of upgrades.. Atomicrops gameplay with my commentary as always!

The final boss is damaged by harvested crops. Big and fertilized do more damage. Good luck in year 2.
Now that I know the mechanic that's actually a pretty interesting idea.
@@Kio_Kurashi yeah, all of his adds pop out seeds and such. So its farm and survive really.
So how does that work with the harvest weeds item? Stock up weeds for stupid damage?
@@chaosstripe9446 potentially? I've honestly never had the item. But there is an item that makes it so walking over weeds cuts them down and another which makes cutting weeds make an explosion which is always fun.

What I take away from this video:
1) Shoot everything that moves and looks remotely like a plant/animal.
2) If it doesn't move and can be harvest, sell it for a profit.

Atomic gardening was actually already a thing. It was used back in the early 1900's to create new plant varieties. You basically bombard the plants with ionizing radiation, which mutates their DNA, and then see if any useful traits are randomly created in the next generation. That's how we created basically all modern cultivars of plants, including the ones used in organic farming like heirloom crops. All the result of forcefully mutating crops.

What i love about DF is that he actually puts the Steam links in the description. I find a lot of channels similar to him and they dont even have the courtesy to do that.
DF you should plant roses in groups of 4 at a time to get 5 roses for the price of 4 and if you plant 4 sunflowers in a group of 4 u get 1500 cashews vs 1200 individual planted sunflowers. Plus if you use more bridges to go further out you will face stronger enemies but the rewards are worthwhile (side note North And West path are bullet hell. East and South are large quanities of monster spawn)

The sunflowers do nothing unless you fertilise them (more fertliser on them more instant money)

The final boss can only be killed by harvesting crops. You can't deal damage to him by shooting him or his minions. Be careful though, he'll light your own field on fire if he gets the chance.
Also the currency is called Cashews.

Hey df press tab when you want to know what is happening it shows your items their descriptions the map and your stats
Also the minigun shreds bosses 2 clips usually takes out the boss
Another tip is to get farming stat to kill corpse-a-copia easier

Hey DF from your video it looked like you weren't taking advantage of sunflowers. No worries there is a lot going on and its easy to miss stuff. Sunflowers are different because you only get money if you feed them fertilizer. You can feed them up to 50. However to make the big money off of sunflowers you want to plant four together (like you did for the potatoes) and fertilize with all 50.

Seems like an extreme waste of cash if you buy a gun, upgrade it, swap it out, upgrade the new gun, swap it out again to the other gun you already had but now doesn't have the upgrade... Y'know?

There are seeds for sale to the left of the gun salesman. They cost like 80-100 moneys for an assortment of seeds from a biome. With the money you had, you should have bought them every time you were in town.

Alrighty, first off:
The final boss is only hurt by CROPS. So plant and harvest.
Sunflowers give you a lot of money, if you feed the fertiliser.
Always go for the Golden Pupas. They give exclusive items.
Try your best to full clear each zone. Gives you a lot if you can manage it in one day.
All crops are worth much more if you can get four then merge them. INCLUDING TREES.
Otherwise, you did pretty good for Year 1.
