A difficulty mode like Infernum that's not exclusively focused on bosses would be cool. Either that or just rework death mode cause the jump from revengeance to death is far too small.
No, calamity's death mode is not "very easy" objectively. Sure, after playing it two or three times you just learn how to fight every boss and then it becomes "easy". But to measure how hard is something you must first measure how much work did you put into overcoming the challenge and learn what you now know. To consistently beat bosses first try in death mode you need to play the entire mod first at bare minimum and twice if we're being realistic. And that's investing a bunch of hours into the mod, so I wouldn't call that easy at all. But this is the calamity community we're talking about, some random guy with and an edgy name will pop up flaming the devs because they removed malice and now the mod's just extremely easy for them (no shit Sherlock, I think my grandma can beat calamity with 1k hours). You have infernum, and if that becomes too easy for you as well then either use the HP buff calamity provides, nohit the game or move on and try something else.

I usually use auric to give myself at least a slight challenge with the endgame bosses.
