Please don't forget to like the video I REALLY helps thanks!
I know it's an older video, but thank you so much for making this information so available.
I don't know why people get on you for using markers. So what its easier. The difficulty of the work doesn't change the fact that it looks nice. As well, sense when does difficulty mean better? Its not cheating its efficient.
Glad to hear it! Yeah faces are pretty much the most commonly requested thing in the past few months so I will be doing a video on them soon!
as someone looking to put together a portfolio for an apprenticeship i want to thank you. I've watched almost all your videos and they are some of the best on UA-cam, keep doing what your doing
Thanks dude I will!
You should do a traditional Cat flash. Panther, lion tiger, and kitten!
They are the best I have used for line quality and they don't pop and crack (leaving tiny spatters of ink) when you're pressing hard on them like some others do. I haven't used every type of pen so I can't compare them to everything they are just the best I have found so far
"Right little water colour fan boys" Oh that tickled me!
Not at the moment but it won't beat me and one day i will be a tattooist!!! ;)
Hi! Love your videos. Do you mind updating the link to the color set in the description? Seems to be broken. Thanks!
Just bought the pens , fingers crossed 🤞
really cool mate- cheers from Australia
Cheers dudeee
Hey Gram! Just came across your tube channel. Your a huge inspiration my man. I have started sketching and using your videos as reference. I would like to see some sailor style stuff like anchors and ships and in that relm. I started a few months ago tracing art from old record albums and pics from google, but now i am just looking at pictures and making them my own freehand style. just purchased some copic pens and a zig Millenium I will show you some pics when they are done.
Thanks bud! keep 'em coming.
make an old school ship with the Kraken at it but not the traditional one, more mean looking one :D
Yeah for sure I will be doing a sheet of that kinda stuff soon, thanks for the request :)
Might have missed the bus for requests, but a cupie drawing tutorial would be cool.
Nice! I love seeing people design similar to the way I do. It is about having fun more than anything. From one artist to another just letting you know this very inspirational. Christ Love to all.
Thanks mate! :)
you could paint with ink too! that is how a lot of people do it haha
Thanks a lot for the help!
Ah good stuff...well any advice you need just let me know! Also another thing you might not know is power supplies like eikons have a setting where you don't need to use the footswitch so that wouldn't be a problem for you if you got one of them
Water colors do not become diluted after they dry, once dry they are permanent. Watercolors are harder to use, but generally cheaper in the long run and you can achieve a bit more.
What makes Zig Millenniums so great? Would you say they're the same as any other fine line pen? Like for example Microns? If you could answer this, that would be top!
Yeah just let it dry for about a minute first and I use a artgum eraser. They are really soft and less abrasive to the paper and ink so work really well
"Right little watercolour fanboys" killed me
fairplay dude, i always pick something up from your vids, good work man ;)
Can you make a video (or do you have a video) where you explain the dimensions of the drawings that are acceptable for a tattoo design? I mean like how smal can a tattoo be w/out becoming just a stain in a few years? Thank you so much for sharing so much!!! Very helpful! :)
Modern methods are not cheating, even digital art still takes serious skill.
Yeah all the supplies used are in the description mate if you want to know what ones
Yeah I do in the traditional flash playlist
ok!!i asked you because in the description you wrote lime and in the video the green doesn't look like lime colour,or the brown doesn't look like chamois!
nice work
im sooo in love with your videos
Really good, thanks for that. Appreciate it
The lightboxes? I got mine from argos but you can get them from any good art store or just search online
Could do you a video on coloring roses with copic markers?!
I get even more than that out of them!
Thanks! All the colour codes are in the video description :)
I have recently subscribed to you channel and I LOVE IT! haha I'm in the Navy and traditional style tattoos are kinda of history with sailors. We have a lot of free time sometimes so I have been trying to teach myself how to draw traditional art, mainly because I haven been wanting to be a tattoo artist for awhile now and you're helping me out so much! although I do not have the proper paper and copic markers to work with! but thanks!
Dj Quinn Thanks man glad you like the channel! If you're going to get into tattooing I have a book out that might help, if you're interested there is a link in the video description!
Is it possible to draw/paint on normal paper, like a sketchbook, with the copic markers?
Very helpful mate, thank you
Ah I'm glad to hear it! Cheers
I tried ordering the markers off the links but I guess since I'm in the States it won't let me order off of amazon.uk.
This was super helpful! Thank you so much for making these videos :)
can you use an eraser over the zig millennium to rub out the pencil underneath or will it smudge?
What is the name of this desk lamp so I can purchase one on amazon?
I'm not a tattoo artist, I'm just a tattooee? Tattoo subject? Tattooed person?
However, I love watching your videos, you're so funny :) Dunno if that's the intention but carry on :)
Haha funny?! Thanks but yeah that's not the intention I have a comedy channel but this ain't it haha
How did you do the brown kinda old effect on the paper to make it look like that?
Amazing videos by the way !
I can't really recommend anything as I only ever use copics but I don't think there's anything really cheap that would be any good realistically. If you want to make good quality flash you gotta spend the money on the right supplies really
which one is the first marker you are using for the outline?
How did you transfer them over to the paper?
Thank youuuu!
Copic Markers. Man, them pens are great! Only downside is they don't last very long.. Obviously depends how much you use them :') Great work as always dude! I gotta upload some of my flash stuff soon!
How did you stain it without the ink bleeding? What did you stain it with? =) It looks great!
excellent job!!!all of your videos are perfect!!!can you tell me the markers codes that you used in this video?thanks and keep going for more vids!
How do u gt different tones in w on pen?
Thanks!
Yeah that's what I'm saying gotta use a permanent ink for this style of painting
So, to get this gradient effect, you use the copic blender right ?
Love this style !
You blend the 4 pens into eachother
Links to all the supplies are listed in the description mate
Watercolours aren't hard (for this) at all IMO
Learning curve i would say is from 1 day to 1 week for this type of work, simple shading and colours. Plus having good brushwork and being comfortable with different mediums i think is a huge plus for your overall artistry
just use some spit shading, it's pretty foolproof i think
nice work!!!
Dope
Thanks dude!
how do you stain your sheets
Whats the color set, link doesn't work
Where did you get your set of brush markers in this video?
Haha yeah sounds like a good plan to me! Thanks :)
Oh right hope you're ok!
Hi GrahameGDG!
I saw almost all your videos and I love it!
I'm trying to start practicing my drawing, but don't know where to start. Should I start reproducing simple and old school designs or tracing tattoos that I love and color it or should I go right to tracing photos and making my own compositons and practicing everyting at the same time?
Whats your advice?
Thanks ;)
Very cool!!!
what kind of back light can you recommend?
It's hard to see in the video - are you blending the colours together or just kind of stacking the colours on top of each other? great videos by the way!
He explains what he's doing, he is essentially stacking colours, however with fresh ink they will naturally bleed together to an extent so the blending will come natural.
Are the greys you use copic ciao as well?
I'm from Australia and they're super hard to find. Even the blender, I can only get the (slightly fatter) copic sketch, unless it's in the colours.
Your chanel is super helpful. It's not often I get to pick an artists brain on the best designing tools (whenever a friend's getting a tatt done and I go as "support" :P)
and then I stumbled across your channel.
Artists would tell me "if your art is shit hot you'll get in"
but I couldn't find what style portfolio you would need to be considered "shit hot" :P
and the process of line work. Massive help. Legend.
nice well done
Awesome skulls.
I did a lot of painting with watercolor but your way oft doing it really atracts me.... Can you tell me Plesse what pencils / colours these are ? I wanna try it out.thnx
Cheers
ill phil All the info about everything I use is in the description :)
Where you get one of those tables?
How do you post the flash sheet online?
very helpful vids. subbed
The Copic Ciao Markers don't ship to the US... any other brands that do the same thing?
Yes they do, his Amazon link just takes you to the UK's Amazon. If you search for them on our Amazon they pop right up.
Ah thanks I really appreciate that :)
How do you stain the piece when you are done? Is there a tutorial on this?
Yeah I have a video about that just take a look in my videos and you will find it easy enough
Thank you.
Cheers!
Thanks man :)
good job
What’s the point of staining it
You lying about the watercolor being solvable after drying. Just admit you don't like taking time and getting messy. And prefer the ease of markers
what happen to your website i would really like to buy some of your flash
awesome such a big help u on fb look me up man just started so basic stuff is good and what are the pens again n where get them from
I could swear that was fire, not grass hahaha
Hey gdgtv is there away u can do a tattoo for me I'm 18 if so that would be awesome
Can I get a tattoo done by you
What kind of paper do you use for watercolour paintings? I have been using arches rough which is great for the paint but the lines get messed up because of the texture :/ any advice ?
Try cold press instead of hot press!
Hey as a young student in art class I want to improve an "old school" style but i don't really know how.. :/ Where do you find your flashs?
David C. *Because your website doesn't work :/
Well SOOOORRRRYYYYY! Haha nah I know you love it really
What is this lightening table thing he’s using? I’ve seen multiple tattoo artists use this and I really want one!
Jinny CanFly Light box. You could find one on amazon for like $30
@@deadlyisgod Thank you so much!
O never mind your using more than one
So those pens are sold out everywhere so does anyone know any other brands that have similar pens?
+stacen d I use promarkers, but they don't have a brush tip... I'm pretty sure Letraset do some with brush tips. Try searching for Graphic Markers, it's all about personal preference in my opinion.
what a paper you used ?
Gilang Putra Everything I use in the videos is linked in the video description mate
Sorry Dude.i overlooked that while checkin' YT on the Smartphone. Cheers
your videos are so helpful! thanks a lot! LIKE AN SUBSCRIBE!
Make ship !!! :)
