As a Floridian thank you for doing this. Most people only see our beaches and high rises. The springs around Orlando like Wekiwa are so beautiful as well! Have fun!
My pleasure Eddie is definitely a lot more to Florida than just beaches in high-rises. I'm happy to showcase it here along my trip. Although I do love the beaches here in Florida so naturally I gravitate towards filming at the beaches a lot of times
I loved driving A1A back in the 60s when I lived in Pompano Beach. It was just a narrow black-top road right along the beach. It was just tropical lushness with lovely homes nestled among the sea grapes. No hotels! It would end at certain points due to inlets and beach outcroppings, and we would have to detour to US1 and get back on A1A at another point. It was a beautiful drive.
Thank you so much Michael for making this videos! am from NYC and planning on moving to FL, friend of mine recommended me this place!!! Good to see realities! Congrats on 20 K subscribers. I remember tough times when you had only 7K subscribers! Nice to see you growing subscribers community!!!
Thanks for posting this. I used to live in Juno Beach right on the ocean and this was my drive to work in Jupiter every morning. I miss going to sleep at night hearing the waves crash on evenings when it was cool enough to leave the sliding door open. Everyone should live at the ocean at some point in their lives even if it's for a short period of time. It's a different lifestyle. What I don't miss is the extreme heat in the summer. I lived at a street to the right behind Juno Town Center at 0:16 and worked to the right at 11:53. Had lots of good times there.
Such a nice video Michael. It's saturday evening, time is a little over 23:00 here in Sweden. I love Florida for special reasons, and listening to you talking, reminds me so much of myself how I think and what I find pleasant in life. So not only do I enjoy the scenery, I also enjoy listen to the things you say, thanks.
Thank you very much Leonard! That is pretty cool that you can relate to me on that level and enjoy the video and my commentary. I was worried people wouldn't like this format.
Like the voice over. Yep, at the 1:55 mark if you looked out to right there is a nice pier there. At 3:50 is Marcinski park. Volley ball courts to your left and a dog beach to your right. If you ever come back here at night, those parking spaces you see at 4:25 are great places to park and go sit on the beach with the wife. At 12:15 it looks like you're on Beach Rd entering Jupiter Island. It's probably one of the most wealthiest places in the country. Tiger Woods has a home over there. You can type in Jupiter Island into Google and click on maps to see how small it is. I grew up just outside of Jupiter and you're right, it's terribly expensive. We're looking to move, just cant afford it here anymore. It's a great area, lots to do, just too expensive if you're looking to purchasea house. The taxes, especially in Jupiter, are a killer. Loving the videos, keep up the great work 👍

@@MichaelBordenaro It is getting to be that way with the developments they are starting to put up. Oh well, there are PLENTY of other cool places in FL and I am enjoying the new content your putting out showcasing some of these areas. Looking forward to the next one.
At exactly 15:15 there’s a sign in the lower left corner of the screen, Blowing Rocks Preserve. The beach has these huge coral formations you can climb all over and during high tide the water rushing in blows out the top through all the holes in the coral, making a whirling sound and putting on a great show. Unfortunately, right there is where you also advanced the video forward to another spot so we didn’t see the parking area, but there’s one there that holds about 20-30 cars.
Yes I saw that! I decided to cut that part though, just because from the road, there isn't much too see from that stretch until the estates. But it sounds like an awesome place to visit and make a whole video on👍
Thanks a lot Ralphie! I prefer doing them "live" like I normally do, but for the trip it really wasn't possible so some of the future ones will be like this👍
Your videos are good but seeing it in- person can't be beat. I went through Ocala once while on vacation and I saw about 30 deer spread out on highway 40. There were only two other cars on the road and it was nighttime. It was scary and amazing at the same time. They just looked up from eating then went back to eating. There were bears signs too; I wanted to see a bear but I would've put my foot down if I did, a 20 second look would be enough. LOL They had horse riding signs too but I've seen that in the state where I live.
I should have recommended Guanbanas and The Square Grouper, both very famous restaurants on the water right near the bridge over to Jupiter island. The Square Grouper is where the video for Allan Jackson’s It’s Five O’clock Somewhere was made. And both he and Jimmy Buffett have been known to drop in and play a set.
I like the long drive through Florida, as I’ve mentioned before I’m from Florida and working hard to to get back home. just looking at these videos, showing classic Florida lifestyle, plants and trees really does reduce stress, when I’m working out at home I really enjoy watching them. I do like the long duration as well regarding video length.
Thanks for the feedback Lisa! Most people don't like the long videos, so its nice to know that you do. I'm happy the videos are a nice stress releiver for you😀
I've been looking at expensive houses in that area you passed through. It has the most expensive house in Florida on that road. It's for sale and I can't imagine why but it is for sale; where do you go from there, oh man.
Hello Michael thanks for the that review, your presentation just gets better. I really enjoyed that what a peaceful area to live. Best Regards to both of you.
Loved the pretty part, so gorgeous. At the tail end of the pretty part it seemed to change to Southern topography with all those oak trees...I'm guessing they were oak. Thanks!!
Yes I loved driving it too Laura, such a beautiful road. There is another road I have coming later on from the trip that was arguably even more beautiful!
The residential part you loved is the town of Jupiter Island. Some of the homeowners whose residences you passed include Tiger Woods, Venus and Serena Williams, the Bush family, and Greg Norman. The town is so wealthy that they take photos of every vehicle that enters at either of the access points.
Naming houses is very coming on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island up in Massachusetts. It’s very charming, and impossible to find a specific address without asking the locals.
I figured thats why they do it here too. You can't even see the house from the road most of the time, and the tiny address numbers are probably pretty tough to see at night so a name is more suitable 😄
Thank you for the "ride-along", really nice video. It's always pleasant to drive through wealthy areas..... Well, Michael, you're 67% above 10K, ......100K is just around the corner !.....

Thanks for the suggestion, I actually never checked out Jupiter farms. I was mainly looking at areas near the coast since I love the beach, but I'll have to see it sometime!

I live in and love Jupiter. If you ride the coast again check out Sewell’s Point east of Hutchinson Island. My favorite drive up to the Ft Pierce Inlet on the Treasure Coast inland west side of the intracoastal. Absolutely scenic and worth your time. And also riding through Merritt Island is another breath taking drive.

I have a question for you Michael... with you living in Miami and being in real estate. 😀 My husband, family and I have lived in Florida (Sarasota) for almost 4 years now and traveling around the state, my husband and I are always wondering, “How can there be this many people, who can afford this many million dollar homes?” And I’m sure some of those houses are the owners, 2nd homes or winter homes. Are many of the owners in extreme debt?
I often wonder the same as you! That's right, these are most likely just "one" of their many properties they own. Maybe some of them take debt on the properties but I am sure others just pay cash because they can. Also, another thing to keep in mind is a lot of these properties were purchased when things were WAY less expensive than they are now, so I suppose it was a little more attainable back then. There was this house I really loved in longboat key, today worth about 4 million. But the owners bought it 30 years ago for like 200k!
From what I’ve read much of the coast from Vero beach down to Miami is the most expensive on the Atlantic side and St Augustine is more expensive than Jacksonville beach area except Ponte Vedra so I think the only dirt cheap coast is like Titusville to Port Orange minus Daytona
@@MichaelBordenaro I’ve given up looking for jobs paying the same wage I got in California so it looks like $16-18 is the best hourly wage rate until I get a post graduate degree which won’t be for awhile so my idea of dirt cheap is like for anyone earning less than 40K a year buying a house on the coast. There’s a lot of 100K jobs on the Space Coast a retired Air Force loadmaster qualifies for at NASA but I was Army infantry so my 10 years in the military didn’t help with employment. I should have just stuck it out for a 20 year retirement
Hi Michael, love 💕 the scenic route. I’m enjoying the ride I feel as if I’m in the vehicle 🚗 with you guys. I love the area, it looks beautiful 🤩. Thank you for inviting us along I know I, enjoyed it very much. Stay safe 😊
I also noticed a lot of stores, hotels and residences use Hawaiin names or motifs and logos in Florida which is kinda weird as Florida doesn’t remind me of anywhere I lived in Hawaii including the beaches
no not really, I used to lived in hawaii besides the palm trees nothing is like hawaii .....maybe waikiki blvd. looks a little in some part of miami, but that's all
@@magic4026 to be fair 90% of the Hawaiin named stores or hotels I’ve seen in Florida are located in the tourist destinations. I don’t see it other than maybe the name of a pizza Parler or something once I’m out of tourist zones
Michael do you think youll ever visit any historical sites in FL, I love their spanish architecture? prob because my great grandmother was from Spain and I never got to meet her. Thats why I love St. Augustine so much!! Any property on A1A is outrageous, and if condos the condo fees get you, unless your rich.
I definitely enjoyed highway 1 more so in California that A1A, the views and scenery are superior especially since you are higher up most of the time. The only part I remember being not so interesting is once you leave pismo beach and have to go all the way around san luis obispo and finally connect back over in Morro Bay
@@MichaelBordenaro yep and worst of all is further north there’s a section that travels by Bradley California and King City California is 100 degrees every day in the summer because the mountain in the coast blocks the ocean air from reaching 42 miles inland to that highway 1 area. I absolutely hate that part. The California army national guard training base is located there. It’s awful in the summer
@@MichaelBordenaro The famous tycoon newspaper owner William Randall Hearst back in the 30s was caught owing taxes so he got a deal with the government to give the worst part of his private property that took up like 1/2 of all of central California to pay off his tax debt. His luxurious home at San Simeon along the coast north of Moro bay holds daily tours. You should watch a UA-cam tour of the castle. I used to drive my ex wife there for weekend getaway dates or there’s pictures online of the pool where movie stars went and visited him. The other awful Army base is Death Valley on the Arizona border for tank and armor training which George Payton arranged for the government to buy for the Army
@@MichaelBordenaro I should have joined the Navy not the Army but even the Air Force has some nice bases on the water. Only Army bases right by the ocean are Hawaii and Savanah Georgia although up by Seattle part of Fort Lewis has views of the cold Pacific Ocean in Washington state and I guess anchorage Alaska base isn’t too far from the water
I think Vero beach is where it slightly begins to change a little bit but obviously it’s not until getting near St Augustine that it’s more noticeable but like you said there’s still unavoidable heat / humidity even up here at Saint Augustine beach some days with July / August looking like the worst time of the year but like you mentioned there’s relief at night time compared to Miami and you still have some nightlife unlike at Palm Coadt and Flagler beach
Made me laugh when you said "this road is like any other road youd go on". Me thinking: whats hes talking about its so beautiful. You should try driving on uk motorways. Thats dull!!🤣
Haha well when you have driven around the whole state of FL and a lot of the country like I have, you would probably agree. Its all relative😊Plus it was only at the end near the railway
I want to drive on all the UK motorways!!! I'm a Florida native (still here, too btw) who has ***always*** dreamt of living in the beautiful United Kingdom...sigh...xoxoxo
@@mimi31268 hey honestly there is such small parts of the uk that is actually beautiful..mainly all the oldey worldey parts and they are lovely. But over population in such a tiny island and the utterly miserable weather here ruin it. If youre goung to enjoy it here you can but in my humble opinion, its better to come for a holiday rather than to live!
@@larissamezo6921 we should do a "country swap" for a couple of months lol🌄...although i must admit, it would be doubtful that I would want to swap back to Florida 🏖
@@mimi31268 thats so crazy haha i cant wait to leave!. Im hoping to be able to get a visa there by the end of the year....and with all the restrictions in travel thats not easy! but im determind! Maybe you just need a holiday here- is there any chance you could? I could recomend some worthy places. X
Highway 1 takes twice as long as highway 5 traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Parts of it have magnificent views like Malibu, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo or the Monterey area but much of it is the same as A1A like you’re describing for Florida
Space Coast has NASA and Space X for economy but I have no idea how people from Palm Beach to Vero beach make their money on the treasure coast. Jacksonville to Daytona have pretty obvious economies but that section between Daytona and Space Coast I also don’t know how they make money. There’s no major colleges or industries so I’m guessing they commute to Orlando to work?
My guess is that most of them are retired / wealthy, and the ones who work own the local businesses and employ anyone people who need jobs. But that is about it
@@MichaelBordenaro makes sense I did notice a few managers for companies I applied to lived in Ponte Vedra the wealthy part of Jacksonville beach and all the employees live inland 25 miles west of the beach in the less nice part of Jacksonville

just drive on the right hand side, that the fast lane around here florida why idk !
I visited a historical site in New Smyrna, that video will be coming out this week👍
Highway 1 in California hugs most of the coast but parts of it aren’t enjoyable traveling from Los Angeles area up to Oregon
@@jonahhex9620 Oh man! Its like they put the base there on purpose to make it tough on the army guys!
Yeah I still like St Augustine better than most of these areas for all those reasons 👌
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
