??? Was just watching again, trying to figure out what batt's to order. Was wondering about the Deadbolt and the 800mAh, but if you haven't got one to test, maybe one of your viewers could chime in if they've tried it, or have the dimensions of the DB tray. Though seems like the body closing is the issue, not necessarily tray size.
I do have a couple of deadbolts but was not able to test it as all my rigs and shop is packed up of a move. I am happy with the 450mah good run time dependent on course and lights you have on , once i get set back up i will test it and post a follow-up video on it.
@@radioactivescalerc Thank you good Sir. I guess weight of the 800 vs the 450 is a consideration too if one is going for crawling capability as a primary goal. Look forward to more 1/24th vids from you. Going through your vid's again to make a list of upgrade stuff and will hit up Hobby Wholesale for what I can't get local. Appreciate the help and your work with folks with PTSD. Best wishes with the move. Hope all goes well and your stuff arrives safe and sound.
The 450 is a good fit forsure just a little longer then stock but shouldn't effect anything, I tried the 850 in the jeep and it is good, same as the 450 just a little longer. Thanks for watching and commenting Kurt.
It will only work with the original ESC, not with the new on tagged with the blue horizon hobbies one as there is no channel 2 on it. So you need to sure the axial black ESC or use a different radio and receiver
New guy questions: For the stock battery, how long a run time do you get? (realizing it'll vary greatly, so just a ballpark on an average crawl session) How long does it take to charge a depleted battery? Would you suggest getting a better charger right off the bat when buying a SCX24? Are the batt's ok to leave on the charger if it has an auto float mode? Can I run a Deadbolt through 2 or 3 batt's in a session or would that much use in one go damage the motor, ESC, etc.? Thanks so much for helping us new guys with your videos and advice!!! Hope you're having a good weekend in your neck of the woods.
Dependent on you drive style the included battery is a 2s lipo at 350mah will give you a good 30 min plus again dependent on driving style. Ic you use the included USB charger I have no idea how long it takes I have never used one. I have a Spektrum S150 charger to charge my scx24 batteries.
@@wingnutbert9685 Not a good idea to leave them plugged in once you charge it it should be disconnected and stored in a lipo bag or fire safe contaniner.
depends on what you are powering with it, Stock set-up i get well over 30min on lite crawling, on my Furitek set-up 20-30 min. i have gone with the 3s 300mah on my furitek set-up
We're Canadian, so it's pronounced mAh, not ma', Eh! ...... But it also depends on if you're a Blue Nose'r or Wet Coaster or one of those unfortunate souls from some wheres in between LOL!
Just what i been looking for man thanks for the video and links
No problem 👍
I like the extension cord idea just to take some wear n tear off the esc👍🇨🇦
Ya and lot more battery options with the JST plug

I like the 450 it looks like it would fit good and not change much

@@radioactivescalerc How long did the 800mAh allow you to run for?
Cool batteries and great review
Thanks for watching and commenting, I think I will get a few more

I use the tattu version of the 450. Love em. only difference is they have an xt30 instead. 👍✌
edit: they are actually 650mah
Thanks for watching and commenting, i have not tried the tattu's yet.

@@radioactivescalerc Thanks very much! So I guess one charger per batt.
Is the one you use OK to leave the batt's plugged into for storage?

How do you charge the 2s? I recently bought a gens ace imars 3 pro but none of the adapters go with the scx24 battery
I charge them with a JST charger adapter and on the balance board of course, I made the adapter my self for my charger. SKY RC T200 Charger.
@@radioactivescalerc i see i suppose i could try splice some wires ty
