I think this is the nicest design externally of all the Land Rover, Range Rover vehicles the rear is not too pinched nor to square.

It's a sad shame that this doesn't get the V8. That engine would make the Velar, pound for pound, the most awesome vehicle, and it would crush my RR Sport.
ARGH, that roll has reminded me of travelling in my mates dads van when I was a child, really hated going round corners in that thing, always felt like it was close to rolling.

Personally when I think Land Rover I think relaxed, quiet comfort internally, not loud. To me loud suggests cheap, lack of sound deadening. I prefer relaxed quiet driving unless I choose to have the windows open.

I am surprised they don't give reviewers the model with the bland and ivory/white interior which personally I think shows off the quality the best though im not sure how easy it would be to keep it looking pristine especially if you love to take your dog with you as I do...perhaps I would stick the dog in the boot in that case.

This is the future of what crossovers will look like in the next few years. SUV body plus very low to the ground. The Velar looks like it could be an electric car.

Oh! Only 8 out of 10. I thought the way you were oozing over every bit of the Velar it was going to be a comfortable, easy 9 out of 10. I thought you were so in love you might go as far as 9.5.
I don't think I've ever given anything a 9.5 out of 10. The Velar scored well in each of the eight categories (here's my full review: www.carsguide.com.au/car-reviews/range-rover-velar-se-r-dynamic-d300-60071) but lost marks for Ownership. RB

First time I heard someone praise a numb steering feel and calling it luxurious. Totally an unbiased and fair review. Keep it up.
@CarsGuide: Why in some sequences (for example at 08:00 or 08:25), the reviewer is sitting and driving on the left side of the cabin? Isn’t this a right-sided steering wheel type?
the camera just has a mirror effect (go pro most likely) so it looks like the opposite

CPSLondon:- True they are not the most reliable brand, but they are more reliable than BMW and Audi and who would make a comment about those two being in the garage after a review.
I can 100% vouch for what you have said. I own one and its been back to the service center 4 times in 2 months. Had issues the week after it was brought home.

Hmmm... F-Pace is pretty pretty, but I love the Velar's swoopiness RB
The Velar does look more "Elegant and Sophisticated", but the F-Pace has that mean aggressive look. So I suppose it will come down to personal taste - as all beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
