When we do bad things that hurts God's feelings, God wants us to tell him we're sorry, because the Bible tells us that when we tell God that we're sorry, he'll always forgive us. And because God always forgives us our sins, we need to forgive others when they really hurt our feelings too.

Romans 14 speaks on pointless arguments and not to see someone as less because of an unworthy disagreement. Yet… I oblige.

Ha ha, very droll - this is neither honest, humble obedient, or what God wants us to do.
I hope this man does NOT know the Scriptures, because if he does he's in willful rebellion against God's commands.
Either way, he's either knowingly or unwittingly dishonouring his 'Head' (Christ) and is obviously incapable of "rightly dividing" God's word - he should therefore not be listened to, so be careful.
Why are churches allowing this sort of thing on the platform these days, as they nearly all do?
We are living with an apostate church, where a spirit of liberalism, Humanism, moral relativism, and situational ethics is abroad, and those who advocate obedience as a requirement of final salvation are accused of legalism, and preaching salvation by works...welcome to the end times!

    • @SuperJ333

@@JoshuaFleetwood1988 Hi and thanks, but I'm not sure in what way you think this went "way over your head bro" - I didn't actually watch the video, so it didn't have a chance to do that!
However, even if I had watched it, I don't honestly think there's much he, or you, could tell me about Scripture, after 40 years of in-depth study (and the Lord has blessed me with a good IQ) so your remark was rather patronising.
No matter, the real problem here is that you have failed to grasp what I was referring to, and from your picture, I would guess it's because you may have the same problem he has.
However, I'm prepared to discuss it, as long as it's done properly, and because you raise the issue of an actual or real relationship with Christ, let's talk about that.
If you're saying that a real relationship is what matters, then I completely agree - in fact it's the only thing that matters, and it's a salvation issue.
However, I know this gentleman doesn't have that relationship, and that's why I rebuked him, even though I doubt he will change.
His conversion is not yet complete, and I suspect yours may not be either, but we'll see.
So, if you want to continue, would you please let me know what you think Jesus is saying in John chapter 14 (it's summed up nicely in 1 John 2: 3-4 as well) and especially how you see Jesus' remarks at Matthew 7: 21-23?
      Take care and God bless.

@@SuperJ333 might be the MOST self righteous Christian ever. This ain’t even defending doctrine, this is self righteousness

    • @SuperJ333
      @SuperJ333 2 роки тому

@@nathanbourjolly is definitely either one of the most ignorant, or one of the most foolish Christians ever - he either doesn't understand 1st Corinthians 11, which is ignorant, or or else he has decided to ignore it, which is dangerously foolish.
My guess is that he subscribes to the doctrine of demons, and has opted for liberation theology, moral relativism, and situational ethics, over the eternal word of God.
It is my further guess that he therefore not only doesn't realise that obedience is a requirement of final salvation, but regards that idea as legalism, and preaching salvation by works.
If he's got any qualms about doctrine he should try understanding 1st Corinthians 11 in the light of John chapter 14, 1 John 2: 3-4, and especially Matthew 7: 21-23!

@@SuperJ333 you are exactly the type of "religious person" that keep people like me far away from the church. How dare you launch an attack without even viewing the video. How dare you sit in judgement so high while you dwell in flesh that is subject to carnal living. 40 years of indoctrination and you managed to push someone further from the church in a few characters. Well done.

    • @SuperJ333

@@carlaleggett9176 Well I don't think I could push you much further from salvation than you already are, but if what I'm saying keeps you out of the church I'm glad.
If only it would keep him out - in fact, any church that knows and obeys the Scriptures would throw him out bodily!
Nor do we need to listen to anything he has to say - his appearance alone is in defiance of God's word, and clearly soulish, and if he's not able to humble himself in such a small, practical matter, there's no hope of God challenging him in weightier matters - if you knew the Bible and had any spiritual discernment you'd know that - and so would he.
As it is, we're living with an apostate so-called 'church' where liberation theology, situational ethics, and moral relativism have taken such a hold that saying obedience is a requirement of final salvation is now regarded as legalism, and preaching salvation by works, and it attracts these kind of ill-informed comments.
      But the Bible says:
"We know that we have come to know Him if we obey His commands.
The man who says 'I know him' but does not do what He says is a liar, and the truth is not in him."
"These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me - in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men."
"Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do my Father's will.
Many will say to me on that day 'Lord did we not prophecy in your name, and in your name cast out demons and do many mighty miracles.'
Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you - away from me you evildoers."
So be careful, and don't follow their example! God bless.
