  • Hello friends
Today, let me show you how to make these very cute and versatile components for your jewelry making. Using 11/0 seed beads, we will look at how to weave a simple tube, how to close it and zip it together, and I will show you various ways of using them.
They are so useful in lots of jewellery designs, including earrings, and necklaces, glasses chains, etc. so I hope you love making them.
    Materials you will need:
    11/0 seed beads
A good firm beading thread such as Nanofil or Wildfire fishing line etc.
    Size 10 beading needle
    Scissors
For the jewellery making you will need:
0.8mm (20g) wire of your choice
    Flush cutters
    Chain nose pliers
Round nose or 6 step pliers
I would love you to check out the channels of these wonderful artists:
    / @jillwisemandesigns
    / @bronzeponybeadedjewelry
Both incredibly talented artists and superb for beginners.
Have a wonderful week and I will see you soon x

Hi, I started to watch this the other day but had to leave it. Next day I got an email from a site I shop that they were having a $1 sale on seed beads (full size containers). I did the sale and will have lots of colors to make these. So I want to thank you for helping me spend my money, lol! I will have fun doing these. Thanks for sharing.

You are absolutely magical Samantha!!, there’s nothing you won’t try and are very good at everything you do. That’s me, know a little about many things, etc. I love this tutorial Sam, I have been wanting to get into beading and you just gave me a perfect intro to start. Thank you so much. What am I doing?!?!. I saved a small birdie’s life. He flew hard into a large glass door, I brought him in from 90* weather, calmed him down, gave him a little water. When he settled in my hand I sent him on his way home.

First day of Spring here in Australia, my favourite time of year. I live in the New England region, highish altitude, so it's carnival of flowers time. Deciduous trees springing to life and the days getting warmer. Nights still chilly.

I've never tried bead weaving. I've never seen it being done before. I'd like to give it a try, but will have to wait until I can go to Hot Springs next month. We don't have any type of craft store in this little rural town. Thank you for such a interesting tutorial. I really like the components. They are so cute. Oh, and I love spring and fall seasons. I don't much care for summer or winter. Have a wonderful day.....

I like Spring into the early Summer and Fall best. Each season has a virture of it's own and something redeeming about it. Your hands make BEAUTIFUL things, therefore, your hands ARE beautiful. Also, while I do like to see beautifully manicured hands, sometimes the fancy fingernail are a distraction to the project being done. I don't know what I am looking at. But then, that's just me. It may not bother anyone else. I just lov what you do. You are a sweetheart.

Can you take a few moments some time to show what the copper jewellery looks like after it tarnishes and how customers respond when it does?

    • @samanthalatimer1
      @samanthalatimer1  4 місяці тому +1

I’ve never had this issue so I’m not sure what to tell you. Maybe try and leave the copper to tarnish for yourself and experiment with sealants and such 🥰 When I used to sell at markets, most of my pieces were in sterling or coated metals, so it was never an issue. Whenever I’ve sold a piece latterly, I’ve asked the customer what their preference is. A lot of people who buy copper want it raw, as they believe in the healing properties of copper, but some have asked for it to be sealed. I always left it to them to decide after giving them advice on what happens. Some people don’t get reactions, some do. Others prefer the raw, whilst some like the patina look. I’d say it’s for you to experiment and see what you think for yourself ☺️ I don’t sell much these days as my personal circumstances don’t allow me to.

I see too many videos where the presenter is incessantly clicking those ugly things on the work surface, the supplies, etc. It's very distracting (to me) and I constantly find myself wondering how in the heck they manage to make anything when the nails are in the way.
