She asked about now being apart of capitalistic gains and wealth thanks to the series, however he was only paid standard rate in Korea for season one and didn't see the huge profit from that season. It is only now with it's immense popularity he was able to negotiate to get paid more.
Thinking about their comments on greed and selfishness and capitalism makes me think that we are about to enter into our own version of Squid Game here in the US.
and do yourself a favor; watch the subtitled versions, not dubbed. most of these films are drama and acting is everything; even animated films should be watched in its native language, as the original dubbers worked with the film makers and know what they wanted; you will forget you are reading the subtitles after few minutes into watching

The director/writer made peanuts compared what the show brought in revenue to Netflix. Obviously for 2nd season not only the show runner but the main actors also made much better deals. Hope the upcoming season is another success, so Netflix makes an additional season?
