I was fishing from shore for walleye, northern pike, panfish, and more at a spillway in New York during winter (mid January, 2013). I was jigging and fishing with nightcrawlers on 3-way slip sinker bait rigs each with a fluorocarbon leader going to an aberdeen hook and a breakaway mono leader going to a weight. I ended up snagging a gizzard shad and catching some fallfish and white suckers on bait rigs before leaving.
