Great games... I also loved the HHM 58 but it truly has it's dowsides. Played it again lately and I think the turn radius and slow turret rotation is even worse in the current meta ;)
Yeh it's fairly poor overall
Tigers etc, autoaim will usually lock onto the ammo rack location, which is handy for lights. You can also rack the entire series from the front by shooting at their upper left hull. Tricky with an E100 but I've done it with Tigers and Tiger IIs. Same is true of the Panther series.
They are very ammorackable!

I have this tank and really want to like it. it needs some major love in one of two areas. either the gun needs love just like you said or it needs a buff in power to weight, chassis rotation and turret Rotation as it just feels sluggish as hell.

Have to calculate that hidden stat that a killing shot has 80% chance to bounce, not pin or extreme low roll.
Even extreme low rolls I'm surprised sometimes at the bounces this gets

It need a big buff, how you want to pen any one with only 165 pen, you just cant fight, its only a bad scout without gun

i love the HMH58 but a bounced shot on a type 5 that should’ve penned cost me a win with 4k direct and 1k assisted🥲
