    The clear lens takes a orange bulb and the orange lens takes a clear or white bulb. They make 2 different lenses and they take 2 different color bulbs.

    I got a free light bar from the fire department the other day but the problem is it's red. I'm going to try this with green over the red to hopefully end up with yellow. Glad I found this video.

    Maybe you should spray the left lens to make it look a little more opaque to match the right lens.

    They use and still do use amber colored bulbs so it could come clear from factory like the lower park\signals on the front valence of 3rd gen Chargers...some states only allow a colored signal and a few let the clear go... But it's better for visability to be Amber or red for signals in my book!!! They also have candy red and orange sprays too....you know from the model car kit world!! And you did a great job man.

    • @mexicanspec
      @mexicanspec 3 роки тому +2

      I don't know about the visibility thing. On my 1963 Savoy, at night the clear bulb and lens is really bright. The amber bulb would dull down the brightness.

      @@moparnut6286 Even in the sun you can see the turn signal flashing. I have seen the turn signal lenses in amber for the '63 Savoy and they don't look right. They never came on the car from the factory that way so I don't want them on my car.

    Good effect, it looks so close to the original. Just wondering. What color are the bulbs? Sometimes you can find amber colored bulbs. That might help. The only other thing that I could think of is Photographic Gels. They are plastic sheets that are heat resistant and are put over Photographic lights, both continuous hot lights and strobes, to throw color. They come in just about every color of the rainbow. They could be cut to size and placed inside the light lens. But I think you have this challenge beat.
