Yep, looks like it. Mine does this as well, but usually to greet me when I walk in the door and when he wants to go outside bc he knows I'll follow him to the door and outside, to get whatever it is he has back. lol. This guy is too cute in that hat.

:D You know - *that* makes a lot of sense. I was trying to figure the percentage of socks and undies vs sweat shirts and jeans in his daily choices. lol.
nah he is just doing what he was bred to. Carry stuff. A lot of labs have comfort items they hold in their mouths.
Is that true? Because that makes so much sense! Or the clothes with the most ingrained scent put outside to mark territory?
I love this! ❤️ I had a senior dog that was very particular with her little routines and routes around the house. She loved going out on the porch through one door then standing at a door that’s kept closed and looking at me through the glass until I jumped up to open it for her. She’d stand there until it was opened never coming back through the door that was already opened lol. So no matter how tired I was I’d always get up to open it for her. All day long. I still have her little nose prints on that glass. Can’t bring myself to wash that one little pane. Dogs are such a gift ❤️
We finally put in a "dog door" to make ours happy
@@barbarabush252 Oh there was always an open door. It’s a glassed in porch so she wasn’t stuck lol. Just making me do something and making sure I was always paying attention made her happy. So it made me happy 😊 but I agree, doggie doors are SO useful.

Back in the late 1980's my parents had a Goldie female named Molly Bea. Miss Molly loved to gather up everyone's socks from our bedrooms and when we'd come home she'd grin from ear to ear for us with her mouth bulging of our socks ! Molly was absolutely the sweetest dog!! Even neighbor's in my parent's development would stop by our house if they hadn't seen her out and about to ask how she was! Goldie's are truly a loveable breed!!
They really are and so beautiful with their feathered hair !

Yeah that wouldn't be seen as cute to me at all, bedroom doors and drawers would stay closed and I would have tried to fix that behavior when they were a puppy. 😅 If she laughs about it more power to her I guess.

The English Springer Spaniel we had growing up, Ranger, would do something similar but with shoes and sandals. He'd grab them when we came home, after he ate and sometimes when he came from outside. He'd never chew them, but he wanted to make sure you saw. If you didn't acknowledge him he'd jump in your lap with the shoe to make sure! I love you and miss you Ranger. It's been almost 16 years since you had to leave us but I still have all your pictures hanging up and I think of you every day. I am so thankful you let us be your "hoomans". Where ever you are I hope there are plenty of squirrels to chase and I nice warm fireplace where you can lay down next to and have a nice nap. Love you buddy!

I had a dog (Ninó) that used to do the same, specially with our pijamas and slippers, every time she understood that one of us was preparing to leave the house..... The clothes had our smell, so they were like substitutes of us to make her feel more comfortable.... ❤️
If I was the one about to leave, she would grab my stuff, if it was my mother, she would grab my mother's stuff..... ❤️

This is soooo precious; It is almost like she/he wants to take items outside to give them an ‘airing out’, and that’s like a purification ceremony. Love the dog’s diligence to do his/her deed for each day.
A friend used to bring his dog to my house years and years ago. At night she would go in the bathrooms and steal whatever she could reach. I would find it all in a pile in one of the bedrooms. Her favorite was to take razors, shampoo, wash clothes. Anything in the bathtubs was her choice.
