Thankk You for sharing. I have been waiting for that one to come on-line. I spent the 1st 20 years of my life about 150' from their line running into Chicago( actually the C&WI) which they co-owned.
Nice looking engine and good video. The neat part is the location is Boone's Dairy Road crossing. I live 7 miles west of Valdosta and this location is very familiar to this old railfan. I know every place on Savannah Ave to get a train shot and love to chase them heading north or south from Valdosta. Great looking unit and tell your connection I said thanks for giving you the info. Thanks for posting.
Caught it through Cairo about 330pm today. I tried to give chase, but something happened that interrupted my plan and I had to break of the chase. You got some good shots of it. If anyone's interested, I've already posted a UA-cam Short of it on my channel as it passed through Cairo. The full video should be up later.
I currently have yet to catch a heritage unit, but I did catch SD70MAC 4568 the 50th anniversary operation lifesaver unit in December of 2023, and I don’t know why CSX hasn’t uploaded 1877 to their channel.
It’ll probably be a couple of days. 650 will have to get to Montgomery and then if they decide to, it’ll come back leading M649 more than likely sometime this weekend
Love the different colored handrails.

Looks great. I grew up watching the c&ei in Danville Il.
The Chicago And Eastern Illinois mentioned 🗣️ it’ll be interesting to see this unit on home rails one day.

@@sowegarailproductions4089It’s out. Now. Also that unit is str8 fire
This might be the best heritage units that CSX has ever made. right?
No release video from csx? Huh...... They did videos with the other heritage units...... 😢 Well, at least it got into service EARLY! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 😊😊
