Monique's fans and Candiace's haters would feel Candiace deserved the encounters. 3. The fans made a big deal about Monique dragging Candiace. 4. I believe Monique's job was on the line because she is BORING. 5. Gizelle, Monique and Ashley planned to make Candiace a target because of how Candiace exposed Michael and Ashley. 6. Monique thought she was in the "in crowd" so she fought Candiace to win the ladies favor. All of that backfired. Monique is backpedalling because the main group didn't accept the her BS. She expected them to hear her and high five her. Now she is running in circles trying to convince people. They came for Monique's neck.
Monique started the argument and the fight. Press replay. Candiace said I love everyone. Monique agreed with Karen that Candiace said that statement because she was drinking. Then Monique went after Candiace with words. Candiace replied with smiling, twirling, making the snoring sound and gave rebuttals. However, Monique and all the people think Candiace ran her mouth. Monique mom/kid shamed Candiace, said she was a bad friend, and some more stuff. Candiace had the theatrics and the facts that made Monique look stupid. Candiace was like girl I am over you.
People are only seeing one event (winery) and saying Candiace was provoking but if you look at the progression of things, neither Monique's approach nor her intentions were pure. She tried to ridicule Candiace repeatedly (1st at the initial dinner by being antagonizing, 2nd at the Sip & See by yelling out 'she's a child and that's why she's leaving' only to have to get up and leave herself, 3rd. at the fire pit where the other women saw she was wrong and wouldn't side with her, 4th at the lake house when Candiace's husband asked where's Candiace and had egg on her face when Candiace came downstairs in good spirits) but none of those attempts worked. Essentially Monique kept digging holes but SHE kept falling in and the frustration got to her when once again, she was trying to ridicule Candiace with that comment about her only loving everyone because she had a drink of wine. THAT'S the comment that started it off; not the twirling. WHEN EVERY ATTEMPT FAILED, MONIQUE LOST HER COOL. Now she's letting Bravo shame her by showing clip after clip of her lying at every turn.

I saw an interview that Monique did maybe a month or so ago. She talked about about how every other time she tried to approach Candice that Candice wouldn’t engage but this day at the barn, she could tell Candice’s energy was different. So basically what I heard was she had been wanting to start some 💩 with Candice n that night Candice finally gave her what she wanted.

I'm going through the same thing at work minus the friend. I noticed people don't want nothing to do with me. I only speak and do my work. If I absolutely need them, I will say something. Or if they need to know something, I inform them. Right now, alot of people are in fear because we might not get the contract back. I don't come into the office daily but I have notice the shift. There have been a FEW UA-cam reviews I've been able to stomach in entirety this week and I was waiting patiently for your take. You have told not one single lie. If Monique is mad at Candiace for inviting Cherisse to her party, then she needed to apply that same energy to Ashley and everyone who remained friends with Cherisse. If - as she claimed in her countless Lives and interviews - she knew about the plot, then why go to such lengths to befriend Gizelle. Why gang up with Gizelle (hi 5s and "oh it's you this year!") to ridicule Candiace at Ashley's sip n see. Every scene with Candiace she has been nasty towards her and Candiace has walked away every time. At the barn Candiace was loud and getting laughs and THAT triggered Monique because she realized the other ladies were laughing WITH Candiace. Now the Fifty Shades of Monique's Explanation Tour has me confused and fedup of hearing her voice because she is all over the place - she blacked, out, she came to, she remembers part, it comes in and out (did she get hit in the head?), she's embarrassed but not remorseful, she tweeted about it but didn't leak it. When this story came out, like you I was SURE it was Candiace's fault because I really liked Monique. But watching the season play out I am really disappointed in her and the Explanation Tour. And YES Gizelle never forgot her for filming and facilitating Kendall and bringing up Sherman's arrest on the show. My issue with the whole rumor thing is Monique should have confronted everybody involved as opposed to picking on Candace. Monique spent the majority of the season mad at Candace about inviting Charisse but Ashley recently came out and said that Charisse was not spreading the rumor and that Charisse never talks bad about Monique. From my understanding the reason why Candace did not quickly go and tell Monique about the rumor was because her and Candace were not talking at that time.I agree with Gisele getting back at Monique and this is the reason why Monique had no business spreading Shermans indiscretions in the park on nationwide television. Because honestly Gisele has not done anything to Monique except not like her .

Monique said that Candace helped write a cease and desist to place on her former friend Gigi that does not sound like Candiace was out to get Monique. Monique said she knew what Gisele was plotting against her but on the second episode of season five Monique said she wanted to be friends with Gisele make it make sense.

*Long post alert* Someone once told me to stop looking at the bigger picture and pay close attention to the details, because the hidden messages are in them. The message is in the details. After sitting back and watch almost everyone’s review about Sunday’s night episode of Potomac. Some that were team Monique, some that were team Candiace, and some that were very neutral. I’ve come to a full conclusion about why this season doesn’t sit right in my spirit. It wasn’t the fight that doesn’t sit well with me, because people do fight all the time, and I’ve watched a lot of shows where things can possibly get physical. It wasn’t the justification that has me side-eyeing either. It is the lies, colorism, and “Set-up” that had me feeling that way. I know someone is going to say that I’m “reaching” for bringing up the colorist issues that I’m clearly seeing but are some. The thing that both Candiace and Monique have in common, they live a lifestyle that the others excluding both Karen and Wendy don’t have. Yes, Ashley is married to a rich old white man, but let’s be honest. She only married him because of his pockets (hence why he can have the best of both worlds). If you compared the lifestyle and finances of both Monique and Candiace’s to Gizelle, Robyn, and Ashley, you can see why they are very green with envy. The two Brown girls are winning and the light brights don’t like it. Monique has a wealthy Husband who can provide her with a lifestyle that she really doesn’t need Potomac, and both Candiace’s parents and stepfather have bank to help her with her lifestyle. Gizelle is broke, Robyn is Broke, and Ashley has to sleep with a man that she probably isn’t physically attracted to, to maintain her “lifestyle”. Now to the setup; if you pay very close attention to flashback clips that Bravo put on Sunday’s episode, it helps you see that this entire beef between Monique and Candiace was a setup. Many think the master plan was only set up by Gizelle, and yes she was the leader of the pack. However, she did have some bits of help from her green eye bandit click; which consist of both Robyn and Ashley (mostly Ashley). Let’s take a trip back to Candiace’s debut on Potomac, Candiace was introduced to the girls as a friend of Ashley, and during that season Ashley, Robyn and Monique were all beefing over the “Drinking” issue that Monique allegedly had. Well if you remember the scene when Monique and Candiace first met and they found out they had a lot in common. Well if you looked at Ashley’s face, she was annoyed with Candiace at that very moment. Here is why, they plotted to ruined Monique then, by using her excess drinking. When Monique crashed her car, the was what they thought at the time would have been the “icing” on the cake to get her off the show. That is why they were quick to point out that she has a drinking problem. They were in hopes that if they pointed it out on national television, that they could get Mo axed from the show; being that they wanted to portray a certain image from the rest of the franchise, and also they thought by bringing it up that Bravo would look at Monique as a liability and would probably either let her go or demoted her to a “friend of the show”. When the three green-eyed bandits were all against Monique, Candiace more than Charrise was defending Monique, it was bothersome to Ashley, Gizelle, and Robyn. So when the first “plot” didn’t work, they moved over to Candiace because she defended Monique and she is very mouthy. So when season 4 began, they made a “plot” to go against Candiace and still going against Monique, but Candiace was the main target. So to distract Monique, Ashley apologizes to Monique, which changes the dynamics between Candiace and Monique. Then the infamous “Rumor” about Monique and her trainer comes along. The infamous plot “to take Monique out” came into play. At this time; while still filming season 4, the friendship dynamics between Candiace and Monique has been tainted. So the attendance at Andy’s baby shower was all the girls excluding one, which was Monique. They all had the conversation about Gizelle wanting to “expose” Monique at season 4’s reunion. However, the plan didn’t work because Candiace debunked the rumors by saying that Chase looks exactly like his father Chris. Karen called Monique and told her what Gizelle wanted to do (remember Andy’s baby shower was in January 2019, Chase was born November 2018, Ashely’s baby shower was in June 2019, season 4’s reunion was filmed August/September of 2019). Now to season 5 and the fight, so remember when I’ve said that the reunion for season 4 was filmed in Sept of 2019, and Andy’s baby shower was January of 2019? Yeah?, okay so the beginning of season five, Monique walked into her first day filming season 5 knowing the “plot” that Gizelle had against her. When they showed the scene of those two having lunch and planning “Ashley’s Post Baby” dinner and when she allowed her into her home to ride with her to the lake house; remember when Karen was being shady in the confessionals? Well, that is because Karen informed Monique about the plot and was gagging just like the rest of the viewing audience after learning about the “plot” that Monique was trying to make amends with Gizelle. Remember when Gizelle made it her business to reported information about how Candiace and Charisse became “friends” that she had got from Ashley (who at the time was still beefing with Candiace)? Well, when their little plot against Monique didn’t work as planned. They started to strategize a new one. Now, I’ve mention Ashely’s baby shower, which was on June 10, 2019. The attendance consists of all the ladies excluding Candiace. Well, Monique at the time knew about the plot against her then and didn’t act upon it, and also it wasn’t filmed for the show. But, a new plot was formed by the green-eyed bandits. Their plot was to turned Monique and Candiace against each other again, to get one of them axed from the show. However, they didn’t know it was going to turn physical. Now, yes I still stand with my opinion about the “surface friendship” between Charisse and Candiace. But, something new came into my head on why Charisse befriends Candiace so fast. So we all knew about the “rumors” being started from Gigi with the help of Charisse and Gizelle. Well, because the pregnancy rumor was debunked by Candiace, they had to figure out another way to get them beefing again (remember Candiace and Monique made up at the reunion for season 4, and both of their husbands are friends). So I believe that Gizelle, Ashley, Charisse, and some of Robyn. Decided for Charisse to befriend with Candiace, tell all the dirty Monique has probably said about Candiace behind her back, Candiace being pissed invite Charisse despite Mo being upset with Charisse. When Monique sees this, Gizelle would then pulled the knife a little deeper in Mo’s back by revealing what Ashley knows about Charisse and Candiace’s “friend”, Gizelle tells Monique, Monique would be passive-aggressive and not flat out ask Candiace, and let her anger linger. So when they were at the barn, when Gizelle ask the question, if you listen closely, Monique said: “her issue is when she found out the info about Charisse and Candiace’s friendship” that is when Ashley went to the “bathroom” because their plan was coming to life.

People are only seeing one event (winery) and saying Candiace was provoking but if you look at the progression of things, neither Monique's approach nor her intentions were pure. She tried to ridicule Candiace repeatedly (1st at the initial dinner by being antagonizing, 2nd at the Sip & See by yelling out 'she's a child and that's why she's leaving' only to have to get up and leave herself, 3rd. at the fire pit where the other women saw she was wrong and wouldn't side with her, 4th at the lake house when Candiace's husband asked where's Candiace and had egg on her face when Candiace came downstairs in good spirits) but none of those attempts worked.

My issue with the whole rumor thing is Monique should have confronted everybody involved as opposed to picking on Candace. Someone once told me to stop looking at the bigger picture and pay close attention to the details, because the hidden messages are in them. The message is in the details. After sitting back and watch almost everyone’s review about Sunday’s night episode of Potomac. Some that were team Monique, some that were team Candiace, and some that were very neutral. I’ve come to a full conclusion about why this season doesn’t sit right in my spirit.
It wasn’t the fight that doesn’t sit well with me, because people do fight all the time, and I’ve watched a lot of shows where things can possibly get physical. It wasn’t the justification that has me side-eyeing either. It is the lies, colorism, and “Set-up” that had me feeling that way. I know someone is going to say that I’m “reaching” for bringing up the colorist issues that I’m clearly seeing but are some.
The thing that both Candiace and Monique have in common, they live a lifestyle that the others excluding both Karen and Wendy don’t have. Yes, Ashley is married to a rich old white man, but let’s be honest. She only married him because of his pockets (hence why he can have the best of both worlds). If you compared the lifestyle and finances of both Monique and Candiace’s to Gizelle, Robyn, and Ashley, you can see why they are very green with envy.
The two Brown girls are winning and the light brights don’t like it. Monique has a wealthy Husband who can provide her with a lifestyle that she really doesn’t need Potomac, and both Candiace’s parents and stepfather have bank to help her with her lifestyle. Gizelle is broke, Robyn is Broke, and Ashley has to sleep with a man that she probably isn’t physically attracted to, to maintain her “lifestyle”.
Now to the setup; if you pay very close attention to flashback clips that Bravo put on Sunday’s episode, it helps you see that this entire beef between Monique and Candiace was a setup. Many think the master plan was only set up by Gizelle, and yes she was the leader of the pack. However, she did have some bits of help from her green eye bandit click; which consist of both Robyn and Ashley (mostly Ashley). Let’s take a trip back to Candiace’s debut on Potomac, Candiace was introduced to the girls as a friend of Ashley, and during that season Ashley, Robyn and Monique were all beefing over the “Drinking” issue that Monique allegedly had. Well if you remember the scene when Monique and Candiace first met and they found out they had a lot in common.
Well if you looked at Ashley’s face, she was annoyed with Candiace at that very moment. Here is why, they plotted to ruined Monique then, by using her excess drinking. When Monique crashed her car, the was what they thought at the time would have been the “icing” on the cake to get her off the show. That is why they were quick to point out that she has a drinking problem. They were in hopes that if they pointed it out on national television, that they could get Mo axed from the show; being that they wanted to portray a certain image from the rest of the franchise, and also they thought by bringing it up that Bravo would look at Monique as a liability and would probably either let her go or demoted her to a “friend of the show”.
When the three green-eyed bandits were all against Monique, Candiace more than Charrise was defending Monique, it was bothersome to Ashley, Gizelle, and Robyn. So when the first “plot” didn’t work, they moved over to Candiace because she defended Monique and she is very mouthy. So when season 4 began, they made a “plot” to go against Candiace and still going against Monique, but Candiace was the main target. So to distract Monique, Ashley apologizes to Monique, which changes the dynamics between Candiace and Monique. Then the infamous “Rumor” about Monique and her trainer comes along.
The infamous plot “to take Monique out” came into play. At this time; while still filming season 4, the friendship dynamics between Candiace and Monique has been tainted. So the attendance at Andy’s baby shower was all the girls excluding one, which was Monique. They all had the conversation about Gizelle wanting to “expose” Monique at season 4’s reunion. However, the plan didn’t work because Candiace debunked the rumors by saying that Chase looks exactly like his father Chris. Karen called Monique and told her what Gizelle wanted to do (remember Andy’s baby shower was in January 2019, Chase was born November 2018, Ashely’s baby shower was in June 2019, season 4’s reunion was filmed August/September of 2019).
Now to season 5 and the fight, so remember when I’ve said that the reunion for season 4 was filmed in Sept of 2019, and Andy’s baby shower was January of 2019? Yeah?, okay so the beginning of season five, Monique walked into her first day filming season 5 knowing the “plot” that Gizelle had against her. When they showed the scene of those two having lunch and planning “Ashley’s Post Baby” dinner and when she allowed her into her home to ride with her to the lake house; remember when Karen was being shady in the confessionals?
Well, that is because Karen informed Monique about the plot and was gagging just like the rest of the viewing audience after learning about the “plot” that Monique was trying to make amends with Gizelle. Remember when Gizelle made it her business to reported information about how Candiace and Charisse became “friends” that she had got from Ashley (who at the time was still beefing with Candiace)? Well, when their little plot against Monique didn’t work as planned. They started to strategize a new one. Now, I’ve mention Ashely’s baby shower, which was on June 10, 2019. The attendance consists of all the ladies excluding Candiace.
Well, Monique at the time knew about the plot against her then and didn’t act upon it, and also it wasn’t filmed for the show. But, a new plot was formed by the green-eyed bandits. Their plot was to turned Monique and Candiace against each other again, to get one of them axed from the show. However, they didn’t know it was going to turn physical. Now, yes I still stand with my opinion about the “surface friendship” between Charisse and Candiace. But, something new came into my head on why Charisse befriends Candiace so fast. So we all knew about the “rumors” being started from Gigi with the help of Charisse and Gizelle. Well, because the pregnancy rumor was debunked by Candiace, they had to figure out another way to get them beefing again (remember Candiace and Monique made up at the reunion for season 4, and both of their husbands are friends).
So I believe that Gizelle, Ashley, Charisse, and some of Robyn. Decided for Charisse to befriend with Candiace, tell all the dirty Monique has probably said about Candiace behind her back, Candiace being pissed invite Charisse despite Mo being upset with Charisse. When Monique sees this, Gizelle would then pulled the knife a little deeper in Mo’s back by revealing what Ashley knows about Charisse and Candiace’s “friend”, Gizelle tells Monique, Monique would be passive-aggressive and not flat out ask Candiace, and let her anger linger. So when they were at the barn, when Gizelle ask the question, if you listen closely, Monique said: “her issue is when she found out the info about Charisse and Candiace’s friendship” that is when Ashley went to the “bathroom” because their plan was coming to life.
