Great video, my internet playing up so annoying to have to restart 😂! I held a standard room, which does look nice but I believe you’re correct regarding the price. What you pay reflects for one person, not really two. The Premium rooms are 42sqm, whereas standard are just 33. Not a huge margin. But for what you are getting it makes sense.👍🏾
Back in 2002, stayed here for 5 days in the older main building with my wife and 6 year old son in a kid pirate ship themed room. The breakfast buffet was WAY better than ANY IN Las Vegas or Lake Tahoe. The outdoor restaurants by the pool and gate access to the beach for an evening grilled Australian Steak was amazing. The pool and location ar incredible. The next year in 2003 was when the Tsunami hit, and closed the hotel gor over a year... So sad that so many people died and lost everything. I am retiring to Thailand in 2026 with my Thai wife of 28 years. Planned this for a LONG time and finally beginning to get everything in order now.
American motel feel to it for me. Shame the views out of rooms were obstructed by concrete pillars or concrete walls. The holiday Inn Surin was shocking last year. Very basic. Good review, I think i would be more harsh myself 😂

Which holiday inn is this in Phuket. If I Google up, there is one Holiday inn and another one Holiday Express. Both are both are not beach front
