I made my own version of this once. It was rogue/warlock because the outsider is totally a patron imo and the invocations can get a good amount of the spicy corvo magic. The limited spell slots can also be flavoured as the mana being used too often in dishonored
I went back to this video for comparison after building my own Corvo. I remembered the Bard/Rogue Combo, but I went with College of Swords and the mew Phantom Rogue from Tashas. Just the second i saw the Trinkets feature of the Phantom, my immediate thought was "Bone Charms". Also, Wail of the Dead just sounds like Domino from Dishonored 2. I know I mixed up Corvo and Emily there, but I think flavor-wise, this works even better.
Hey, when Ghostbusters: Afterlife hits theaters, you should do a Ghostbuster build. Not any one in particular, just a generic Ghostbuster. I imagine some multiclassing of Artificer and Ranger for that one.

Hello, thank you for your videos they are incredibly entertaining. I've been thinking about playing a Tabaxi corvo for a while now and your guide works very well. I think I'm going to alter it slightly to follow the games more closely by replacing 10 bard with 9 levels of archfey warlock and 1 of rogue. The invocations give me access to slow, devils sight, and ghostly gaze and I can pick up sleep, dominate person, and dominate beast, as well as misty step, and dimension door. True, I Lose out on the summon beasts spell, but I'll gain reliable talent instead ,and I never really pick up the skill in game since everything else is just too good. Thanks alot for the great builds and keep doing what you're doing and have a fantastic day.
I like that you're providing more than one race in your builds you're providing these days. It's an extra option for those that want to power-build/optimize and addresses those that dislike "variant human" for some reason. Bard is indeed a creative solution. For all we know, Corvo really did play the ukulele before things went bad. The line about cheering on his protegee made me smile and laugh. Being a supreme sneak is good when you're Corvo.
Hey @tulok the barbarian, I'd love to see a talion from shadow of mordor build. It's a build I've considered on many occasions but never have managed to make it work appropriately to the game. Thanks I appreciate it. Keep up the amazing videos muh dude
Revisited this because I was looking to build Corvo, and boy did I go a different direction! Soulknife Rogue 9 gets us Psychic Whispers (telepathy) and Psychic Teleportation (bonus action teleport 1d8x10 feet). Raven Queen Warlock 7 gets us Ghostly Gaze and Gaze of Two Minds (see through another creature's senses), Haste ("Time Slow"), and Invisibility. Also, we can merge into our Tiny Raven (possess creature). Finally... Moon Druid 4. We can "possess" more beasts with Wild Shape, get some healing from spells & Combat Wild Shape. Plus, you can Wild Shape as a bonus action, so you can snipe someone with a crossbow before ducking away. With Pass Without Trace, Expertise and Psi-Bolstered Knack, the LOWEST you can get on a Stealth check at level 20 is 1 (die) + 5 (Dex) + 10 (PWT) + 12 (Expertise) + 1d8 (Psi Bolstered Knack) = 28+1d8 = 29-36
Im kinda surprises that you didnt take warlock for the multiclass seeing as Corvo gets all of his spells from the Outsider. But i enjoyed the build this week! Flexed them CREATIVE MUSCLES. Keep up the awesome work Tulok!
@@jwall1646 lore wise he would actually be a warlock and it's possible to build him that way with spells intact it just gives him less skills to play around with.
@@CCartman69 Either great old one or archfey. Both of them get you dominate person and dominate beast as a warlock. I've been wanting to do this myself: I decided to go multiclass: assassin rogue and warlock, the warlcock part having the crunch of the hexblade but the fluff of the great old one.
For a christmas-themed one-shot, I made Harry from Home Alone 1&2. I put my stats, from highest to lowest, as CON, he takes a BEATING through the movies and keeps going, CHA, he successfully impersonated a cop and can be pretty intimidating when he needs to be (and he's Joe Pesci), STR, he tends to brute-force through things rather than take it slow, DEX, he's a thief, WIS, he seems to know his way around, INT, "I never made it to the 6th grade, kid". I took variant human for the race, taking the Durable feat, buffing CON to a +3. This particular one-shot was LV 4, so I took 4 levels in Rogue with the Thief archetype and the Criminal background. For proficiencies I chose Athletics, Deception, Intimidation, Persuasion, Sleight of Hand, and Stealth, putting Expertise on Stealth and Deception. Finally, for starting equipment, I got a crowbar from my background ("Crowbars up!") and bought a Hand Crossbow for his gun from the 2nd movie, as well as leather armor and a Burglar's Pack (since he is one). Let me know what you think of this build!
I love this video, but i have a small nitpick. Emily is way more than just Corvo's former boss's daughter, Emily is also his daughter, with the empress being his lover/soulmate/forbidden love. I still love the vid, but i feel like this is an important thing to know
An alternative build could be replacing the Bard levels with Great Old One Warlock. It fits thematically as the Outsider is basically a patron to Corvo. Downside would be the lowered spell list compared to the Lore Bard.
I'd love to see you also try to make Emily or Billie. I think Whispers bard would be really good for Billie As for Emily, you'd need to put a lot into chronurgist wizard to get domino, but thankfully I think all the spells she needs are on the wizard list.
I do think that Warlock would have been a better multiclassing option. Works with the whole "Powers given to you by a powerful being that you wouldn't have otherwise, that you also don't pray towards". The Archfey would probably work the best. "A creature of legend who holds secrets that were forgotten before the mortal races were born. This being’s motivations are often inscrutable, and sometimes whimsical, and might involve a striving for greater magical power or the settling of age-old grudges." Sounds about right for the Outsider. It would also give you access to Sleep, Blink (Which is the name of the movement ability in game, even if it works differently in Dnd), Dominate Beast, and Dominate Person. Edit: You also get Misty Step, which would work even better as the Blink-like ability. All that being said, I absolutely loved the video and appreciate the work and thought that you put into these!
I understand why the majority of these builds use variant human as you're trying to stick as close as you can to the source material. I do appreciate you mentioning another optimal race. I would like to see you do that in future videos 😁. Keep up the great work 👍
I've seen people comment this already, so I won't say "he needs to be a warlock" but instead I'll say this- There really are no "great" warlock patrons for Corvo- Great Old One being the most thematically appropriate while Fiend & Hexblade would probably be more Mechanically appropriate. Great Video as always man! I just would've loved to see some Shadow Monk thrown in there for the at-will shadowy teleport.
I made my own build for this mixing the abilities from Corvo and Emily into one character. 3 fighter levels, choosing Echo Knight as my subclass for doppelgänger, 7 levels of shadow sorcerer, which gives me up to 4th level spells for Dominate Beast, and then 10 levels of assassin rogue.
Honestly, I built Corvo once the full 1-20 progression of Mystic came out. Rogue (Assassin) and Mystic (Nomad) were the way to go. Lots of teleportation, see in the dark and through walls, great with a rapier and a hand-crossbow, and all the lovely force pushes you could want. Only thing I couldn't finagle was possession and timestop.
when I saw this in my recommendations I literally gasped with excitement because Corvo Attano is my favorite stealth video game character and I love my stealth games. I was a little surprised you didn't add anything from the Warlock class into this build because Corvo gets his powers from The Outsider which would mean he's a Warlock and the Outsider is his patron. But you did say you were forced to be creative with the build and I myself am not to familiar with all the spells that a warlock can use so "conjure animal" probably didn't fall under the warlock spell list. So I could see why you would invest a great deal of energy into The Bard class not just for one or two spells but for all the other feats and abilities. now I've seen plenty of your videos already about character builds but never really felt the encouragement to subscribe but after this video you officially have me as a subscriber. And what's also really creepy about you uploading this build is a couple of weeks ago I ordered off of Amazon a brand new copy of Dishonored The Definitive Edition for the PS4. Because I played the regular one with no dlc's for the PS3 but I wanted it (dlc's and all) for the PS4. And What's creepy is I'm expecting the game to be delivered to my place sometime tomorrow (Friday 13). Literally the day after you uploaded this video. Maybe you are the Outsider after all and you know of the future events that are coming or something. Also I remember seeing a comment that you do take request. One of my favourite characters finally got a build all his own. Thank you for the hours of effort and creativity that go into creating this stellar D&D crossover content. I'm currently binging the whole playlist again as inspiration for a whole new campaign and set of characters. To that end, a question: Any update on the status of your Princess Mononoke video? I found it tremendously helpful for building rangers and druids, as well as any number of nature oriented hybrid characters, and I was hoping to continue using it as a reference going forward only to find Studio Ghibli getting litigious. Thanks again for your incredible work.
Ngl, now that Warforged exist I'm excited for some droids. I'd love to see some HK-47 build from yah. I know it sounds hard since you choose how he levels up, but I'd go off of what happens if you let him auto level. I always pictured manual level ups as your character affecting the others in some way, be it advice, inspiration, or just a subconscious effect. However HK-47 is always your droid, so you could make the build around how you like to build him because its revealed you literally built him.
Nice build as always. I would've looked more into Warlock, given his powers are granted to him. Assassin/Hexblade sounds like a terrifying combo. It wouldn't cover EVERYTHING, but thematically it feels like it fits in a lot of places (though Fiend/Old One pact would probably be more accurate)
y'know, taking inspiration from your builds, I managed to essentially make thanos, but to fit into my world as, in my world I dont need to worry about giving him spells to fight the infinity stones, as the infinity stones are actual items in the world, so I just made him a fighter monk, as I felt that Brute fighter, and openhand monk... or did I make him long death... it was one of those, anyways I felt that those two together fit the, very strong, hard hitting, and tankiness of thanos, without giving him magic. I think I will attempt to do the same when he doesnt have the infinity stones to try and make a caster version...
My personal idea on how to do a build like this is bladesinger wizard 17/assassin rogue 3. Why? Well let’s look at what you can get with this build. Misty step and dimension door ✅ Dominate person ✅ High dex ✅ High mobility (blade song and haste. It’s nice) ✅ Good in face to face combat but excelling in sneaky scenarios (shadow blade specifically) ✅ Summon rats flock of familiars ✅ Hard af to hit even though you’re naked ✅ And finally, the reason you sunk so deep into bladesinger Ability to stop time for a short duration ✅ If you just want a similar story though, warlock is the way to go 1000%
So i tried to see if i could make corvo a warlock (which by standards of dnd he would be) and still give him most of his iconic spells and this is what i came up with: make him a warlock that has a pact with the great old ones of at least level 9. with the spells: eldritch blast (it will make sense later) misty step dimension door (to subistitute blink) puppet and dominate monster (to substitute possesion) flock of familiars (to substitute devouring swarm just make sure to pick pact of the chain as your pact boon) expeditous retreat and spiderclimb (corvo is still very fast and good at climbing) healing elixer (people tend to just leave elixers unattended in dishonored so why not) detect magic (the heart) being a warlock of the great old one grants you dominate beast , dominate person, (possesion) detect thoughts (the other part that makes up the heart) and telekinesis (almost windblast but not quite) as well as far as invocations go you should pick: devils sight (actual darkvision), ghostly gaze (dishonored darkvision) mire of the mind (also know as slow, also known as bend time),gaze of two minds (to simulate possesion more throughly, at least as long as dominated people count as willing) and repelling blast ( it's windblast but eldritch) if anyone has any suggestions do tell me.
I am not sure if it could work out, but the Three Musketeers would be good for this. Thinking Athos, who is dedicated to duty as a Paladin, Porthos as Rogue, Aramis who has faith as a Cleric and D'Artagnan as a Fighter. Well balanced team
I'm so happy this came out before I even got the chance to recommend it. Also tulok have you though of doing videos of fan builds? Like not specifically how to make certain people in dnd but just fun/powerful builds to play?
I personally would've gone Warlock for the spellcasting class. You can get at least a couple of the things you take in bard for free as invocations, a pretty versatile spell list, and it's all pretty in character. Side note: there should totally be a warlock subclass based on The Outsider. Hexblade is pretty close but I want to go even further in the grimdark spectrum.
I've been thinking of mapping these builds out and using them as pre-set characters to try and get my friends to come play a weekly(?) Game. Bait them with cool/favorite characters.
It's funny that I see this in my feed because I'm actually doing this. Granted, I'm going arcane trickster, but that's because our DM had us roll stats in order, and my charisma was low and my intelligence was my second highest stat. I was fortunate enough to get good dex though.

Now that half life alyx is coming out, you should make a build for gordon freeman
Gravity Gun sounds like a fun challenge
All stats but CHA are 20 because he's The Freeman. But he never talks, so...
@@thebigdawgj It adds to the charm obviously
@@thebigdawgj Hehe as Deonte said, I feel like cha should be one of the highest stats ^^ The man has become the symbol of a revolution without saying a word.
I'm going back and watching all your builds, this one is really great! Love your work dude ^_^
Tulok, old friend! Do I even need to say it? You've built another Variant Human!
Corvo is one of my favorite characters ever so im happy now.
Hey @tulok the barbarian, I'd love to see a talion from shadow of mordor build. It's a build I've considered on many occasions but never have managed to make it work appropriately to the game. Thanks I appreciate it. Keep up the amazing videos muh dude
I absolutely love Dishonored, and you did Corvo justice with this build.
I love your builds, it gives me so many ideas. Really inspiring and well thought.
I'd love to see a video for Dardevil and Moon Knight
Daredevil next month!
I'm so happy this video came to be. Corvo is one of my favorite ficitional characters.
Im kinda surprises that you didnt take warlock for the multiclass seeing as Corvo gets all of his spells from the Outsider. But i enjoyed the build this week! Flexed them CREATIVE MUSCLES. Keep up the awesome work Tulok!
Thank you!
Eyy i have been waiting for this one!
Without watching I’m guessing assassin rouge, shadow sorcerer
Also what song was that In the intro?
That would solve the darkvision issue but you're wrong
Core Brute was not expecting bard at all
@@jwall1646 lore wise he would actually be a warlock and it's possible to build him that way with spells intact it just gives him less skills to play around with.
@@appelofdoom8211 which patron would you pick?
@@CCartman69 Either great old one or archfey.
Both of them get you dominate person and dominate beast as a warlock.
But archfey gives you misty escape (which is another way to get blink) and great old one gives you detect thoughts (it along with detect magic can fill in for the heart) along with being more accurate to what the outsider is lorewise. Just pick the one you think would be the most fun and/or accurate.
This is probably my favorite build this so far purely because Dishonored is my favorite game.
this game is so good and im incredibly happy this exists
I'll switch out Corvo for Daud. Great vid!
I woulda thought warlock would've been what you'd choose for the spellcasting class. Ya know pact with the Outsider and all
Literally just did a speedrun of this game last night, awesome timing
How fast is your speedrun?
I've been playing a lot of dishonored and wondered if this was possible for DnD. Thanks :^)
Evil shopping center? Frank West?
Looking forward to seeing who it is!
Think Star Wars...
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 i got nothing then.
Might have to turn in my ' nerd' card but i haven't bothered with StarWars since the prequels.
Nothing from them is ringing a bell either.
Think duel of the fates
@@risototealasticoto6497 I'm not usually one for spoilers but my favorite dude from the series is coming. Darth Maul bro. You can turn that card in before the next meeting.
@@NavyMonk89 i thought he already did Maul... My next guess for 'evil shopping center' was that flying dude who used to own Anikan.
Now i need to see this in baldurs gate 3
I knew there was a reason I subbed to this channel.
I. Love. This.
I'd love to see you also try to make Emily or Billie. I think Whispers bard would be really good for Billie
As for Emily, you'd need to put a lot into chronurgist wizard to get domino, but thankfully I think all the spells she needs are on the wizard list.
I DIDN'T KNOW I WANTED THIS UNTIL KNOW. THANK YOU
Dishonored is one of my favorites, so I like this video a lot
I literally read the comment that suggested this yesterday. Proof tulok reads your comments
I understand why the majority of these builds use variant human as you're trying to stick as close as you can to the source material. I do appreciate you mentioning another optimal race. I would like to see you do that in future videos 😁. Keep up the great work 👍
Awesome video! Keep it up and I look forward to next week’s videos!
I've been waiting for this one!
Their's a character I really like you to try to build Marcus Fenix, I figure he is a Ranger/ Barbarian with a focus on Strength.
I've been dying for this video since I discovered this series.
If your reading this is there a way I can leave a request that you'll be able to see without it getting lost among all the other comments?
This one, Constantine, and Han Solo are awesome! Keep it up
Yay! I'm working on a Corvo-esque build so this helps a bundle!
Been waiting on this build for a while. Can't say I was expecting Bard, though.
If anything I would love to see this an idea for the whaler's army style thief's guild
When is the Ezio Auditore build coming?
Someday. Not on the schedule at the moment. I'm not familiar with Assassins Creed, so it might be a minute

Just started watching your videos and they are great, I would love it if you could make a "How to Play All Might from MHA in D&D" I really would love to play as a similar character in my upcoming D&D session. Keep up the great work!
I've been waiting for this one
Big fan of dishonored so this was really cool to see! I’d love to hear how you’d build Geralt from Witcher 3
I have ever heard it as “enhanced eyes” but now I always will.
I did not expect Bard but then again I did say I was curious to see how you built Corvo so I suppose I asked for weird
Omg you finally did it, you absolute mad man! I assume you got around to playing the game, or at least watched something on it, what did you think?
Holy cow this came out on my 30th birthday!
Gotta say I didnt expect to see a bard in their, but hey flavour trumps all and can probably make bard make sense for thia build
Yeah, the mechanics gotta win out, so Bard was the only option
You could also duel class into warlock as there is a homebrew patron that is literally the outsider to get all the right spells that is for Corvo
y'know, taking inspiration from your builds, I managed to essentially make thanos, but to fit into my world as, in my world I dont need to worry about giving him spells to fight the infinity stones, as the infinity stones are actual items in the world, so I just made him a fighter monk, as I felt that Brute fighter, and openhand monk... or did I make him long death... it was one of those, anyways I felt that those two together fit the, very strong, hard hitting, and tankiness of thanos, without giving him magic. I think I will attempt to do the same when he doesnt have the infinity stones to try and make a caster version...
Hey wait a second I literally just asked you for this like a week ago 🤣
It was on the schedule, I love you, thanks for watching, but I don't want you to think you've got magical powers...
My personal idea on how to do a build like this is bladesinger wizard 17/assassin rogue 3. Why? Well let’s look at what you can get with this build.
Misty step and dimension door ✅
Dominate person ✅
High dex ✅
High mobility (blade song and haste. It’s nice) ✅
Good in face to face combat but excelling in sneaky scenarios (shadow blade specifically) ✅
Summon rats flock of familiars ✅
Hard af to hit even though you’re naked ✅
And finally, the reason you sunk so deep into bladesinger
Ability to stop time for a short duration ✅
If you just want a similar story though, warlock is the way to go 1000%
I never knew I wanted this to exists until right now...
So i tried to see if i could make corvo a warlock (which by standards of dnd he would be) and still give him most of his iconic spells and this is what i came up with:
make him a warlock that has a pact with the great old ones of at least level 9.
with the spells:
eldritch blast (it will make sense later)
misty step dimension door (to subistitute blink)
puppet and dominate monster (to substitute possesion)
flock of familiars (to substitute devouring swarm just make sure to pick pact of the chain as your pact boon)
expeditous retreat and spiderclimb (corvo is still very fast and good at climbing)
healing elixer (people tend to just leave elixers unattended in dishonored so why not)
detect magic (the heart)
being a warlock of the great old one grants you dominate beast , dominate person, (possesion) detect thoughts (the other part that makes up the heart) and telekinesis (almost windblast but not quite) as well
as far as invocations go you should pick: devils sight (actual darkvision), ghostly gaze (dishonored darkvision) mire of the mind (also know as slow, also known as bend time),gaze of two minds (to simulate possesion more throughly, at least as long as dominated people count as willing) and repelling blast ( it's windblast but eldritch)
if anyone has any suggestions do tell me.
I would have made Corvo a Rogue/Warlock multiclass with the Outsider as his patron, but Bard was definitely a creative take!
Not at the moment. I've got so many characters that have been requested, but hopefully we'll make some tough stuff
@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 understandable, but what about recruiting fans to help make character builds?
I personally would've gone Warlock for the spellcasting class. You can get at least a couple of the things you take in bard for free as invocations, a pretty versatile spell list, and it's all pretty in character.
Side note: there should totally be a warlock subclass based on The Outsider. Hexblade is pretty close but I want to go even further in the grimdark spectrum.
I've been thinking of mapping these builds out and using them as pre-set characters to try and get my friends to come play a weekly(?) Game. Bait them with cool/favorite characters.
Oh right.
Standing request for Hit Girl.
This is as close to an Edward Kenway Build as I will get. I like it.
It's funny that I see this in my feed because I'm actually doing this.
Granted, I'm going arcane trickster, but that's because our DM had us roll stats in order, and my charisma was low and my intelligence was my second highest stat. I was fortunate enough to get good dex though.
Calling right now: assassin rogue with a warlock pact with a great old one and variant human of course
Damn
I love your videos! I always look forward to them coming out. Could you do one over John Kramer from Saw, or Agent 47 from the hitman series? :D Random I know but your videos are so well done it would be awesome to see!
