  • Say hello to the Vidalia knot! It looks like a double cape, but it's harder to construct than you think. Looks best with solid-color or pattern ties.
Special thanks to Linwood for bringing this knot to my attention. Check out his / whoseesthis

Great video. Lots off people doing unorthodox tie knots lately. Maybe it's my distrust in others, but if a knot gets an approval from(and a video)The Alex Krasny, that's a GREAT knot.
Alex, great style by the way.

Looks really nice, I'm gonna try this next time I'm gonna do something that requires me to wear a tie.
And Alex, please out out videos more often, please?

I'm glad you addressed the elephant in the room with that whole spread labia look it has. It's a good thing vaginas are pretty.

Nice..! I think Linwood uses toilet paper because the tie he uses has less volume.. But it is a great know anyways..! Please keep tie videos coming..! Greetings from Venezuela..!

Oh thank you very much ! I'll wear it monday on my new job :D
I was eager to try a new knots (with time, even the original ones become usual...).
ps: I'm french, you're totally excused for your comparison (it's the first thing that poped in my head when i saw it) !

It doesn't look that difficult for shorter people who have that extra tie length. I'll try it tomorrow and see how it goes.

Actually turned out really well (Didn't feel like waiting until tomorrow). Definitely helps to have a tie made out of sturdier material! After watching Linwood's video, I can tell how the toilet paper would help (Though I'm still not going to use it). Thanks for the great video and please keep them coming!!!

I always get compliments on the knots that I've started wearing many of which I learned from watching your channel. As always great job. I'll be wearing this one next week. Can't wait.

Well, I just tied the Vidalia for the first time today. I found it neither difficult nor short. I'm not especially tall, but I do have a larger neck. You've said in some videos to send pictures. How to do that? BTW - in my house anyway, if you have to say, "pardon my language," it's a bad idea. There's always someone near by.

as a suggestion, I think that if you make a cross instead of a second spiral as you do at 2:35, it will make the knot more "steady" instead of having a cape hanging diagonally. I have done that, and it pretty much looks the same instead that I don't have to worry that the short end of my tie is "peeking around"

majooismajor at 1:06 when Alex does an "spiral" on his right side (left from our point of view), instead doing that, better go on the opposite side.

Hey Alex, I just wanted to ask. Which knot would be best for a stripped tie. Like multicoloured and striped. Cause the Eldridge didn't work
