my dad and I hadn't spoken in 13 years. He left my mother while she was going through chemo for another woman. We both stumbled in the ICU the same hour when my grandmother was on her death bed. We've been trying to connect and mend what's been broken. He's a musician, he gave me an old guild guitar and has been helping me learn how to sing.
