The dances and the dress are very similar to Hawaiian dances and dresses. Are they singing in the classic Motu language or some other of the 800 PNG languages? Greetings from Poland.
Lol hula kahiko is so different to motuan dances in Hawaiian Hula Kahiko the dance has a lot of hand movements that tell a story.. in Motu there's none of that, only stepping and swaying, only the lyrics of the song tells most of the story.. i suggest go watch hawaiian Hālau[dance group/schools] like; Hālau Na Mamo O pu'uanahulu. Or simply search Hula Kahiko Merrie Monarch.
