- Ok, some of you suggested I reviewed an on-road car next, so here it is, I had to wait a little wile to get my hands on this one, but it was worth it!
This is the new Hobao Hyper GT2 Nitro On road car, and its beautiful.

Proline makes so really cool looking bodies for the 333 to 335 mm wheel base… mustangs/ Chevy nova’s and I think there’s a Hemi Cuda also in the 300mm range too

I loved the old HoBao GTB 2 speed and wanted to swap the 2 speed to my cage buggy but as its a basher decided not to HoBao is a great budget rc platform ❤

Hi buddy, I was looking on biitty design website, I see 1 360mm body and 3 325mm bodies for the 1/8th GT, I have the GT2 but having trouble lining up the wheel wells with the 325mm
My bad! I used the 325mm body from BittyDesign, it fits perfect. Did you remove the body post adapters that come installed from factory on the car? The wheels only fit nice inside the arches when the body has the proper height on the posts. I had to make 2 sets of holes on the body because initially, the wheels weren't centered on the wheel arches, but with some adjustment it turned out perfect.
The body I used is the Seven65 Part# BDYGT8-S65

@@bustednutsrc good call on removing te body post adapters I have a protoform Corvette C7>R short wheel base 325mm # PRM 155140 and it fits perfect now, I also ordered that Seven65 body you have. one more thing, I used the flywheel that comes with VT nitro, it measures at 38mm, I will use that 35mm for another application, thanks buddy will keep you posted!
@tommyc4993 Right on! I gotta get the Corvette body, and good to know about the flywheel, that's what I needed to make it easier to use the starter box!
Hi,I'm just unboxing my gt2, and I noticed it has a bit of a grinding front diff. I was just wondering, did yours do this?

@mark737-c4x Hey there, no mine didn't have any grinding or rough spots on the differentials. It felt smooth, I would definitely open that up and check the differential just to be sure.

Hope someone can help mine won't shift at all I messed with the screws and have no idea where I'm at also for those looking for bodies the blitz zonda gt5 is cheap I have it on mine thanks
I would try tightening both bolts all the way (don't force them) and then backing each about 2 turns and go from there. It was definitely finicky on mine as well.

@@bustednutsrc yes, if you were to buy a nitro buggy kit which one would you buy and why, what parts would you use and why. And how much would it all cost upfront and long term to run it for a season or two.
What is the model of that body I can't find a 335mm or a 333mm ?
BittyDesign Seven65 body, it's 325mm. Fits pretty well over the Hyper GT2.

What 2 speed pinion are you using? I just got the GT2 roller and I’m looking at the 18t-22t..
I ran the stock one and maxed out at 50mph, now I just installed a 20/24 pinion to see what it does.
Let me know how it does especially with that engine. I’m trying to decide if I wanna use my Reds superveloce gen 2 or invest in an on road engine $$$ for higher RPMs even though I’m just parking lot bashing and speed runs. Also I’m ordering the hyper Vs engine mounts and the 38mm flywheel to see if that helps with starter box issue you initially had .
is that a 2 speed or single?
Sorry for the late reply. Currently I am in the middle of nowhere in the north slopes in Alaska. This is a 2 speed car, hobao sells them on their own website and on ebay.
