We get a quick break from storms through the early afternoon; but jump headfirst into the nonsense again tonight through the end of the month. Thursday and Friday are looking particularly active with multiple thunderstorm clusters; each capable of producing damaging winds, hail, and heavy rainfall. ~David
One way or the other, rain or shine, good or bad. Your always the one I turn to, for all my weather needs. P.S. An your lovable dry humor makes my day !! :~)
It was nuts. We had a crew here digging for irrigation (oh the irony) and the wind started whipping BIG trees around like mad and they high tailed it out of here. This morning all their hard work digging ditches is a muddy mess Sheesh.
Many thanks for the continued updates. You are going to be so bored in July-August when all Texas has is burning sun and heat to report. And we will be wishing for rain. Squeeze a nap in if possible and thanks again. 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
Thank you! Halfway between Victoria and Houston here. So much more comfortable this morning. Less humid. Makes walking so much easier. Have a good Wed.
Morning David and to everyone else . Hope everyone is doing well. We had some rain with a little boom boom. Then it cleared up .we were getting some wind with it. I thought that the tree was going to fall down. We are good here, san Antonio .for now 😊. I do feel sorry for the one in the bad storm. And some people without their homes . Yes, I am very lucky here. May God bless you all. Thank you, David, for the updates . I am praying for everyone 🙏 .😊
With the exception of three years stationed in West Germany, I cannot recall seeing this kind of daily violent weather in Texas. Too bad the portions of the state that need the rain can't get it minus the destructive winds and killer tornadoes.
2020, after the massive freeze that winter that made the news everywhere - we got slammed weekly with Bsd hail and several tornados in DFW alone. Back in the 2010s, an exceptionally bad year occured. And in the early oughts, down town Ft Worth was struck by a tornado, and we had constant bad storms that year. It goes up and down. Usually following El Nino.
the line of wind we got yesterday happens about twice a decade. Last one tipped a construction crane over and it killed a woman in an apartment in Deep Ellum in 2019
I live right where the biggest red cell crossed South Texas last night. I manager a ranch 15 miles north of Alice Texas. The wind was so torrential it picked up my 10’ x 10’ x 7’ tall Chain-link and pipe dog kennel and through at 60 yards.
@@wildershoney2439 dogs were fine. I just had my plott hound (Chichi) in there. I went out there and she was in the yard walking around. My Jagd Terrier Started freaking out and barking so I knew something was wrong. I went out there and hound was just standing out in rain. She got to come sleep in a dog bed in the living room for a couple hours until daylight. Luckily my terrier has a smaller well secured kennel.
you mentioned that storm in Dallas is what came through Houston yesterday afternoon? My word😮. I'm a life long resident of Houston and live between Houston and Galveston. I don't ever remember having quarter sized hail coming through and lasting so long. Hail is fairly rare here and what we might get is some popcorn size hail lasting maybe a minute. With those strong winds I was sure a house window was going to crack. That storm was crazy!
I don't miss 100 degrees every day. Although I have lost 60 pounds on the keto diet over the last year so since I'm not as fat as a walrus I should be able to take the heat better, I still would rather have rain and record low temperatures over the summer. The last summer that I can remember when we never reached 100 was in 1974, we probably hit 99, and it was dry, but the summer ended with flooding in September.
Good job on the weight loss. I live in Dallas and it still sucks getting used to the heat. I just pretend that I walked into a sauna every time I go outside and focus on the health benefits of sweating
I don't mind if it is in the 80s or 90s but mother nature can keep the 100s. Lol 😆. Keep up the good work. You are doing an awesome job. God bless you and all that work with you ❤ 😊.
Thanks for your updates. Thankfully I listened to you last night and secured my garden here near Corpus. Lots of high winds. Guess this will keep happening as long as the cool fronts keep tracking through Colorado.
Good on you. I didn't know to get mine in. One plastic Adirondack chair was half an acre away from it's original spot. Huge trees were whipping around like saplings. I was nuts.
christ when will these storms end? been raging for like 2 months straight now. im maxxed out at this point. my inverters and generators are all being used by family. one more power outage and things are gonna start getting ugly

Thank you, David. Yesterday we were indeed slammed in Houston. In Harris County we were having a run off election. What chaos! Tain and wind like a hurricane. We lost power for about 4 hours, and had to operate on battery power. Unbelievable.

Wind gust hit 50 here at La Casa No Gotta Lotta Dinero last night. But hey, we are one day closer to rain. Levelland is called that because the country in Hockley County is level land.
Normally I don't worry about the weather, but yesterday that wind was so wild here near Lake Livingston!!! Trees were bending over!!! Lost power, but regained it back yesterday afternoon...Hopefully we are done with that kind of mischief for a while...
Best money I ever spent was a whole house plug, a portable generator and several canisters of propane. We've had to pull it out twice this month ...so far. Ahh, spring in Texas!
The power has been off since the yesterday morning the entire neighborhood and over 4 thousand still! Estimated time Friday what in the world is happening! 😡

Yes.
Actually, it will be an extremely active hurricane season. It's predicted to be a record year. There will be content to report.
Just got power back, after 28 hours. Those heavy winds, yesterday, took down trees and power lines in my area.
Whoever has been praying for rain, it’s ok to stop now!
