It's great to see the Parliament praying and giving glory to God. May God answer all the prayers, deliver UK and the nation of the world from coronavirus, and let peace and favour overshadow UK in Jesus name. Amen
I am so glad that there is still an opportunity to lift up the Name of Jesus. The way the foodbank was portrayed showed the food offered below the cross as an offering to feed those who are so hungry. The Name of the Lord Jesus was in big signs to show that this is what he would do, this is how He would love.
If only Parliament would vote in laws according to Gods word, abortion, marriage, sex education in schools free speech etc, I am bereft at the way we have gone astray, God must be weeping, He sent His servants to this shore with the gospel, at the expense of their lives, but we have forgotten that. Unless we repent and get back to Godly values we will not be blessed as a nation. I thank God for all the Christian MPs and pray for many more that we may live in freedom and safety. Bless you all.
And particularly laws on poverty, care for vulnerable children, wealth divides and injustice that Jesus cared so deeply about and called us as Christians to take action on, rather than policing the personal practices of others which is for God to do and not for us. "He who oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker, but whoever is kind to the needy honors God.”
Saskia - Something to ponder on... None so poor as those whose lives are snuffed out before they can take their first breath! Abortion happens because people’s personal lifestyles go against the laws of God... One of the spiritual works of mercy: admonish the sinner...
@@WeAllLovePineapples alot of needs concerning the poor Christians can take action on without the help of government if people came together and worked on it. There are non Christians out there making a huge impact on a wide range of poverty related issues globally and they dont even believe in Jesus pray or read the Bible.
Stop relying on the Government. The solution is for the church to rise up and preach the true gospel with power and anointing. If the churches do not preach truth how can the Government or the masses respond. God does not work via the ballot box and petitions. We have the bible for a reason. To proclaim truth and that is what changes the heart of man.
Bishop Tomlin gave a powerful and wonderfully choreographed word. When else could he walk through Kensington and be heard above the background noise. He highlighted several of the most pressing global issues and made a clear cut case for Government and churches across the UK to work together. Excellent use of this platform. Well done!
Glory to God. Jesus is LORD forever more. I am so excited. This is what we should all do. More Grace and all glory to our God the Father of our Lord Jesus christ. Jesus is coming soon. God bless you all and keep us in his perfect love. Amen 💕💕💕
For me this was my first experience I really enjoyed it. The best part for me was that part from a couple of MPs I didn’t know the party of each person. Makes it easier to accept.
Thats the problem too much prayer and no proclamation of bible truth. God respects those that boldly proclaim his word. Ive been to parliament not a Bible in sight and various churches they dont want to preach the whole truth for fear of offending people so don't expect God to respond. Bold proclamation of God's word changes the hearts of men. God honours his word.
Ms Daby cited in her prayers a portion of 2 Chronicles 7:14, quote: Heavenly Father, I lift up our world to you. Your Word says, 'if only my people would humble themselves and pray that you'll heal our land.' THIS IS THE ENTIRE SCRIPTURE: "If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. " CONTEXT: This is God's promise to His people, the Jewish people, in answer to the great prayer of King Solomon for the dedication of the Temple which he had built, wherein God promised to answer prayer from the Temple which He chose to hallow with His presence. This great promise of answered prayer in 2 Chronicles 7:14 also includes the condition of REPENTANCE. As the people of God humble themselves, pray and seek the face of God, they must also turn from their wicked ways. It wasn’t enough to merely turn their heart to God; they must also turn their life to God.God simply promises to hear the prayer of his humble, prayerful, seeking, repentant people. He will bring forgiveness to His people and healing to their land. APPLICATION FOR US GENTILES: Although God’s invitation is initially given to MY people (2 Chronicles 7:14), 2 Chronicles 6:32-33 has made clear that anyone who acknowledges God’s name and authority may pray with the same confidence of a hearing. "Moreover, concerning the stranger, which is not of my people Israel, but is come from a far country for they great name's sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name." (Enduring Word Bible Commentary).
2 Chronicles 7 verse 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Tomlin cited all the work of the church pertaining to physical provisions ...no mention whether God's Word and the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ was ever offered for the Salvation and spiritual nourishment of those who do no know God, which is truly the very mandate of the Church of believers, which is the Body of Christ, according to the Great Commission found in the 4 Gospels: Matthew 28:16-20, Mark 16:14-18, Luke 24:36-49, John 20:19-23
Thank you for this inspiration! Positive suggestion: The story behind the creation of the hymn Amazing Grace could be used in the racism narrative! Love to UK from US❣🙂
That wasn't the Lord's Prayer, (the Lord being Jesus). That was the template of how Jesus believers ought to pray. How can Jesus pray 'forgive us our sins' when He is the perfect sinless God-Man. The actual Lord's Prayer is found in John 17 where Jesus really prayed for His disciples and also for those who will come to believe on Him through the witness of His disciples. This is the prayer that shows Jesus' love for His Father and for His disciples.
This is a start, but please do not tell us you we have to believe in ‘climate change’ in order to be good Christians, while ignoring the abomination of abortion, God forgive us for our unjust laws. No country that allows abortion can call itself civilised. May God help the population of these islands to recognise real injustice and rectify these unjust laws that sentence new generations to death. Where does the choice lie for these most vulnerable human beings fighting for their lives in the wombs of their mothers?
Awk come on, you are given a chance to preach the gospel to leaders in parliament yet there’s not one mention of our sin, rebellion, the wrath of God that abides on us all because of this and then of course then the grace and mercy God shown to us by sending His only begotten son to die on that rugged cross which delivered us from sin! What a love! Preach about that! Show them Jesus and the true gospel. Teach them that without God we are hopeless and in need of a gracious saviour!!!
This is all about social justice which is the agenda of the emerging church, doing away with the main purpose of the Universal Church: to spread the Gospel, edify the saints and ultimately glorify God. Tomlin spoke of "the 3 pandemics of our time: the virus, racism and climate change. There is only one pandemic from the point of view of God: MAN'S SINFUL NATURE out of which those 3 pandemics and more originate. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Rom3:23); As it is written, there is none righteous, no not one (Rom3:10); For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord (Rom 6:23) ... we can go down the Roman Road to Salvation ...
Judith Britten amen. This is why the “church” is in such a mess in the UK. The Church of England and other mainline denominations have abandoned the principles of the gospel, the core message of salvation and swapped it for an inadequate social justice message which appeals to people but is not the power of God to save sinners. We need to pray.
@@peterhutchinson523 I felt jealous for God in the fact that this prayer breakfast is nothing more than an annual tradition, rather than a first course of action, and loads of it, especially during the lockdown, when the the Nation needed that extraordinary leadership, akin to how the King of Nineveh led his nation to repentance "...cry mightily unto God" upon hearing Jonah's warning (Jonah 3) . I guess, it was a case of political correctness and being so calendar-minded that even God has to be slotted into man's time. But we know that God is not mocked.
Praise God. This is answers to prayers. Thank you Jesus. At last Great Britain, has recognise that we need Jesus. Praise God Hallelujah
Amen thank you Jesus for your love and your protection over us, we love you our God and please forgive our land.

Inspirational and encouraging, with a strong message of how we can provide ongoing help and support for others

Be it far from me to judge: but what concerned me were MPs (and our former PM) quoting the Lord's Prayer.
